Good evening,
I got a little problem with the data, apparently it sends out more data than it received.
The thing is I've used the Xperia T for a good 1-2 months and have no issues with it until now (like it started on December 23rd/24th?).
Yes, I have uninstalled the most recent apps that I've installed in the past days. I usually dont install that many apps on my phone, and plus I got everything set up in the first 2 days of receiving the phone.
After a few test, I realize that the problem that is causing this is "sync." I usually leave sync on when using "WiFi' or "LTE" and IT DOES NOT sends out that much data under NO USE.
Example: first day i realized this (LTE) it shows i received 3MB, and sent out 40-50MB within roughly 20 mins of no use. I probably went on Facebook, or Whatsapp, and I'd just left my phone in my pocket and that was it. Days followed, same thing repeated itself. Again, I do not have this issue back then. If i used 10MB, i used 10MB in total of send/received.
WiFi Total Usage from december 9th 2012 - december 26th 2012
Android System used roughly 300MB
Questions are: What is under android system? What can I do to fix this or is this normal?
Im holding back to reinstall the entire phone, Yes i know this might be the BEST solution, but I hope I can get some help here to fix this without doing all that hassle installing the stuff again and again.
Screen shots below.
Thanks in advance.

If you view battery stats via settings you can click on Android System and it'll give you a list of what is included in the extended details screen.
Good evening yourself,
Its CSIS getting data from you
Thank you for replying guys.
Would you mind elaborating more on csis?
I got a new photo. It shows the WiFi usage over the past days. And as you can see, the blue bars are sent out data. It doesn't seem normal for the past few days
Thank you, I'm just really dumb in this tech field
I've had my Note 5 since launch and I love it, great device, and it hasn't given me any guff at all until this just started happening about a week ago.
My phone keeps overwriting my contact's pictures, and deleting my favorites in the phone app.... If I reset everything the way I like it within 2 hours my favorites are gone again and the contact's picture is removed.
I haven't made any changes to anything. My contacts are synced from an Exchange server account. Been running BPE5 sideloaded since it was available, no problem. I decided to revert and do the OTA to BPE6 to see if that fixed my problem, but the problem persists.
Does anyone know why this is happening and how to stop it?
So i have this bug where everything minimizes in randomly fashion. Typing something in fb messenger, have browser open in the background, in the midst of the typing everything minimizes and shows the homescreen. Have it since day one when i bought it and now, android10 .190 still have it. Anyone else experienced that?
Same issue on Huawei P10 since I bought it about 2 months ago. I reset phone and most apps minimise while typing - a few times per day
Lots of similar reports on Samsung phones.
No clear answer online
I have it for more than a year already.. and its ****in annoying..
Hi all,
I'm at the end of my tether as my P20 Pro has started glitching incessently.
It's vibrating randomly (and regularly) and any time I try and go into an app it kicks me out within a second or two. I've not dropped my phone, it's not been in water and it's really starting to p*ss me off as I literally can't even send a text/WhatsApp without being booted out.
I've had the phone around 20 months and the cynic in me thinks Huawei may have deliberately bugged it to force me into buying a new phone. I've tried deleting unused apps, clearing cache, deleting old gallery videos etc but it hasn't made a single bit of difference.
I know there are a lot of posts on here about notification issues and random vibrating but this is definintely nothing to do with notifications. I've loved this phone since I got it but the past week or two have seriously p*ssed me off and I just want to smash the phone!
If anyone could help I'd be forever in your debt!!!:fingers-crossed:
Cheers

When it's vibrating is anything happening in the notification bar?? Mine started doing that last week and it was a call app I had installed. It could be you have to go through the notification settings for each app. Is there any particular application that you are noticing it on? Sorry for the questions. I hope you are OK x

Hi mate,
No nothing shows in notifications when it vibrates. It's actually a different type of vibration than you would get for a normal notification as well. It's a very rapid vibration that comes and goes. Initially it started kicking me out of my camera gallery and then started happening on other apps as well (Google search, Golf Clash, Snapchat etc). It's settled down the last couple of hours but I know it'll flare up randomly again at some point!:crying:
I also have problems with people trying to hear me on phone calls as well but assume that's probably a completely separate issue!
Cheers

Instead of smashing the phone I would suggest factory restore.

Have you ran the support app see if it's a hardware issue? I'd try and do a factory reset if that does not work because its difficult to diagnose. I hope you are staying safe x

Google Photos VERY Slow On Pixel 4 XL 0 Replies 0 Upvotes
I’ve been having some poor performance out of my Pixel 4XL and Google Photos and I am not sure what is causing it.
There are several things going on…
· When taking a photo, there is a significant delay before you can see it in Google Photos.
· If I take a photo, the “processing” of it can take 10-30 seconds, more so on portrait mode and it will produce a black screen fore as many or longer seconds.
· If I take a screenshot and immediately try to open, it again, 10-30 second delay.
· Editing a photo or screen shot produces the same 10-30 delay.
· Bulk deleting photos can take a long time and leave little placeholders for the photos.
· Sometimes just going into Google Photos, it can leave placeholders for several moments of time.
Troubleshooting So Far
· Cleared cache and data.
o This resulted in taking Google Photos hours to recache my photos in the app.
· Safe Mode
o Loaded safe mode and cleared cache and data and then rebooted.
o Still took hours to recached.
o Performance improved for a while but then poor performance returned.
· Factory Reset
o Factory reset provided short term relief but problem returned.
· Different Pixel 4XL
o A second, new Pixel 4 XL resulted in the problem returning.
What could this be? I would think since this happened after factory reset and new phone that it is a Google Photos problem? Could it be another app doing this?
I do have a Note 10+ that I am going to give it a good run through to see if the problem is there too.
Really want to get this fixed as I prefer the Pixel.
Thanks…
Are you stock or rooted? It could very well be an app causing your issue. My wife had a similar problem with her 4XL. I had to factory reset and install her apps a couple at a time until I found the culprit. I can't remember what app was causing the problem but it was something that she didn't really use.

I am stock and that makes sense. I fired up my Note 10+ with hardly any other app installed and Google Photos is fast. Hmmm...I can't imagine what app it would be but I would assume a photo or video app first.

Do a factory reset with a clean install. See how it runs before adding any 3rd party apps. If everything is good start adding them back a few at a time starting with your must have apps. It will take a little time but the problem app should show up.
UPDATE -
It is interesting in that I can take photos of all kinds for about a minute or so and then this sluggish problem starts in. I wait a little while and it works "as normal" for a while and then kicks in again...if I click on a photo within the camera app after taking it to watch it "process", if it blanks the screen, I know the problem has returned.
I've deleted a bunch of apps and still got the same problem...I guess I'll schedule a factory reset this weekend but I find it odd that this happened on two different Pixel 4 XL's but can't reproduce it on my Note 10+...for sure an issue with Google Camera / Google Photos and perhaps my account if it isn't a rogue app.

That's interesting I have 3 Pixel 4 xls and a Pixel 3a XL I'm testing this on and I haven't experienced this on and of these devices

I think I may have found the culprit as so far, I've not been able to reproduce the problem since doing this...
I sideloaded Google Playground Stranger Things and The Last Jedi, since I love them but they are no longer available to download. It was one of the last things I tried to uninstall and the only other app I could think of that uses Google Camera. So far, the problem has gone...
It was odd that it would also affect Google Photos and cause constant sluggishness.

Well, I thought that was it...it worked flawlessly for several days and it is back again...you can take several photos for a while but then the preview of the photo will go black for 20 seconds up to 2 minutes. I guess a factory reset is in store but considering this happened on two different Pixel's, just not sure what would be causing it because I so thought I had found the cause.

I booted into safe mode and problem continues...camera (when viewing previews or watching ir process) and Google Photos (waiting on on photos to appear) results in very long delays. I guess I can try a factor reset but I'm afraid it will come back.

Okay! Do you have any beta apps installed? And what external apps do you use?
Here's an update...
I decided on a factory reset. I was a little more judicious on reinstalling apps so did a little at a time...it worked fine until yesterday and the dang sluggish problem returned. The only apps I installed the day before this happened again were Office (the new Office Suite App) and GroupMe. I removed them both, rebooted and the problem persists.
I also made sure no Beta apps of any kind were installed.
At this point, since this happened on two separate Pixel's and not my Note 10, there has to be something going on between Google Camera, Google Photos and my Google Account. I almost don't want to contact Google because they may give me the same "do this or that." This is actually a debilitating problem, so I may have to switch to the Note 10+.

It's weird because it works fine initially and then the problem arise. I am still not sure whats causing it. because if it was something between google apps then it should have been from the very start.

I did PIxel Support on the phone and got a case number and all but all they did is they are checking with a higher support like 3 times and then said they would get back to me in email...didn't even try to screen share or get logs.

You need to threaten them and ask for their supervisor and make a case like you are frustrated because of it due to lockdown and they need be quick on their response. It works
