Question Persistent Always on Display, MIUI Optimization and Decrease brightness in AOD - Redmi Note 10 Pro

Hi
Just recently someone told me I can have persistent AOD. I have to turn off MIUI Optimization in developer option and the AOD won't turn off after 10 seconds and it really didn't!
My first question is should I keep MIUI Optimization turned off?
and is there a way to decrease brightness in AOD or set a period for AOD?
My MIUI is Global 12.0.7

how much diffrence between Auto backlight&manual in battery consuming
is there any experience ???
nobody knows?
One week ago, I changed the option for backlight to 5 min instead of normal 30sec. I even changed the backlight on while making calls (tweak cabfile). I don't notice any more batteryconsumption. This is a overall experience.
I think more brightness on the display will be more battery consuming than backlight settings.

Thanks! I think you are right
What ever option you choose that cuts Electricity flow saves Batts.
So yes turning the screen all the way down when only doing calls and at night helps a lot!
Note also that the auto-dim function doesn't ever dim the light right down (no matter how dark it gets) - the lowest it reaches is equivalent to the manual brightness level 3.

Screen Brightness

Recently bought mate 10. Compare to my current mate 9, I noticed the mate 10 screen brightness isn't as bright as the mate 9. Wonder why manufacturer decrease the maximum brightness of newer phone.

Max brightness is reached only when in auto mode+sunlight. Check the gsmareana review. Otherwise indoors the brightness is lower and cannot be manually toggled to reach the max brightness the display is capable off. Personally the brightness is more than enough for me in real usage. I use auto brightness and toggle it to about 50% brightness.

Full Brightness is actually 96%

Can anyone also confirm this please? If you go to settings > Display > Uncheck "Auto" brightness setting > set the slider all the way to 100%. Then, go to Settings again > Battery > Optimize battery usage. Let it analyze and then read the first row. Does it also say "Screen brightness set to 96%, set it to auto to save power?".
On my previous P10 LITE, it says "Screen brightness set to 100%, set it to auto to save power". It's either a bug or some weird setting I don't know of that can let you select full brightness.
Show's 96% for me too.
Weird, but makes no difference to anything!
I was thinking that the phone never actually goes to 100% brightness and it might make a difference in very bright places. We can't find out for sure if this phone has a locked brightness for battery saving purposes or if it's some sort of bug. I've emailed them but I don't have high hopes of receiving an answer.
Ok, so I received an answer from Huawei. They said that if I turn off the Auto check box and turn the slider all the way up, it is at maximum brightness. I am not sure if they understood what I meant but that wouldn't be the first time .
Also, on a side note, they mentioned that if I use apps with white background, the brightness changes automatically in order to improve battery life. I thought it only did this when there was bright light outside. The strange thing is that this in-app brightness fluctuation happens even if I uncheck the auto setting, but only when I use a custom brightness setting and not full brightness.
Such a strange feature, I guess the "disable" option nowadays means only what they want it to mean...

Question [CLOSED]Manual brightness fluctuations

Has anyone had this problem and found a fix?
I've manually set the brightness of my Zenfone 8 to about 90%. Occasionally when I open the phone it has been reset to a very low value and is difficult to see.
Adaptive brightness is off. Low brightness DC dimming is off. Night light is off,
