is there any way to force refresh rate to be 60hz in always on display miui.eu rom?
Because when set AOD option to always on that drains the battery

Is it possible to set the watch to never dim? I am aware that it will drain my battery faster. I have a watchface that I like, but when it is dimmed it becomes very ugly.
I would like to be able to set my screen to Always on without dimming and set it at the lowest brightness. The only options I found are "Always On" with automatic dimming and "Always off" that turns the screen off and wakes it up when tilting your wrist. Are there more options?

Most of faces from Smartwatch Bureaux have an option to set dim time to "never" but active mode drain at minimun 12% by hour. Some other face like A36 has an "Dim mode same active" wich keep color on dim mode.
On other face apps like Facer or Watchmaker you choose what is displayed in dim mode, so you can keep dim mode same as active mode.
So I've read that when set to 120Hz refresh rate, it's variable and will adjust depending on content. Does this mean when playing a game that's locked to 60FPS, the display will be 60Hz and battery life will be the same as setting to 60Hz?
How about if the display is set to 60Hz, but the Cortex app has the game set to 120FPS. Will the display switch to 120Hz assuming the game is actually running at 120FPS?
I like the smoothness of the 120Hz in general, so that's how I have it set. But what if I plan to watch a movie, should I set it to 60Hz to save battery, or will the display do it automatically? No sense to have it at 120Hz if I'm going to watch a movie for 2 hours.
Hi
Just recently someone told me I can have persistent AOD. I have to turn off MIUI Optimization in developer option and the AOD won't turn off after 10 seconds and it really didn't!
My first question is should I keep MIUI Optimization turned off?
and is there a way to decrease brightness in AOD or set a period for AOD?
My MIUI is Global 12.0.7
Hi! I am on xiaomi.eu miui 12.5.9. Is there any way possible to set the refresh rate to 60hz when it idles for a moment?
Some custom rom has this feature (e.g. project elixir, aex etc) where you can set the minimum refresh rate is 60hz and maximum at 120hz, when the phone idles the display automatically drops down to 60hz. It is a great battery-saving feature, so I was wondering is there any way to do this in MIUI?

I thought the refresh rate already dynamic? Try set it to 120hz and turn on refresh rate from developer option... You will find the display rate fluctuate between 30,60,120...

It must show other options as well.
does realme gt master edition support dynamic refresh rate? can we get that feature via an ota update?
Hello, from my experience using custom ROM, Redmi Note 10 pro screen doesn't fancy enough for using variable refresh rate. When setting to 60 Hz - 120 Hz, The display always stay in 120 Hz if it register touch not depends the content we see like other phone. And drop to 60 Hz in +/- 1 seconds after last touch input
Hello there
I'm having an issue getting around 3hrs only of screen time, and after monitoring the device for several days I noticed that the refresh rate is stuck at 120hz even if I'm on the home screen not touching the phone
After changing the refresh rate to 60hz the battery performance is now excellent i'm getting around 8 to 10 hrs
So the problem for me was that the software was not handling the refresh rate right and even while using the phone with 60hz it never drops to 1 or 5hz
It's STUCK to either 120hz or 60hz
Any suggestions about fixing this issue?
It suppose to have an adaptive LTPO2 screen...

Yes i agree with you, that is the same problem with me, I just noticed it stays on 120hz every single time. THAT'S WEIRD.
Thanks for letting me know, unfotunately, i have no solutions for it, I will be waiting for someone to find a method to fix it.
I think it can be resolved with a minor system update, it's all about this post reaching someone inside OnePlus.
Until then you should lower the refresh rate to 60hz in order to save the battery health "wear cycles".
Try smart hertz, work good

Unfortunately it requires the phone to be rooted
I tried the 120hz now under sunlight and noticed that above 80% of the brightness the refresh rate drops to 1hz while reading, above 50% and below 80% it drops to 10hz, and below 50% of the brightness it is stuck to the 120hz
I think if an update came to fix the refresh rate under 50% brightness the battery life would be great.
Are you on A.17 or C.21?
