hey guys, any one thought about popping the back of there nexus 7 and making a Heatsink for the cpu, i know it wont be "sleek", but im thinking more of a stable temp with oc at 1.8gz, 600hmz GPU?,
if not what are your thoughts on this?
thanks amatis

I think fitting a back cover suitable and stable enough to make this worthwhile will be very difficult, specially if you plan on handling the tablet a lot, this would only drain your battery very fast if you are able to reconstruct a back cover that would fit snugly without exposing the internals, if I were you I would stick to running it safely at 1.6-1.7Ghz and rather wait for more powerful tablets to be released to suit your needs if you are unhappy with the nexus.
Get a H100i Or a Hyper 212 EVO Cooler, Im sure it will get to about 2.3GHz before it explodes.
Walk around with LN2 canisters in your backpack, spraying it constantly will get you 4.5Ghz+ if the circuitry can support the voltage!
Can we overclock ram on android platform?
On a serious note, look into the fan types the MacBookAir uses, as they are flat and deploy a spiral exhaust so with a few mm thicker cover with a few inlet holes and an exhaust slit, this could be possible!

That would be awesome, he would just need someone to manufacture a new back cover, still would be pretty nice having a quad core 2.0Ghz tablet if the cooling was super efficient and the voltage was enough to keep it stable.

hmm im thinking about Buying a white back replacement, and i could cut a bit out of that, and use fiberglass to make it smooth ish.
but the problem is, this.

i has also watched a youtube vid, and it seams that there are sticker cable things attached? so im not sure how i would get around that,
powering it should be easy, just hook it up to the battery, or even add another battery "slim" and making a switch for it, the thickness of it should not be much of a problem, as if you had it in a case it would be about the same, Depening on what the case was,
thanks amatris.
Hello all. Just wanted to get opinions on how the hoses for the h60 cooler appear to look. It originally was a single fan mounted on the inside part of the case without any top fans. Purchased 2 new 120mm SP fans for the push pull on the radiator as well as 2 140mm AF corsair fans for exhaust on the top.
I had to rotate the radiator 180 degrees so the hoses wouldn't interfere with the top fans. Should I worry about the hoses breaking loose at all?
I also noticed the rear fan on the top isn't pushing as much air as the one closer to the front, and was possibly thinking that may benefit directly pulling fresh air in for the radiator fans.
Should also mention this is a Maingear Vybe build that I swapped for an early 2011 17" macbook pro with a slew of upgrades to it.

So this seemed like the place for this, but if I guessed wrong, please move this to the proper forum. Anyway...
I've been thinking a lot lately, and after the announcement of the HP Elite X3, I figured out my dream phone:
My dream phone would have a processor probably something along the lines of 4- or 8-core processor, with 2 clusters, both based on Intel Atom or Core processors. One cluster would be VERY high powered, and only active while in its docking station.
Now, the docking station: the docking station would have a metal plate, with liquid cooling attached, and then the back of the phone would be solid metal, with the CPU heatsinked directly to it, and the two would sit flush, perhaps even with some apparatus to lock the phone in to ensure full contact against the plate. This would enable use of the more powerful cores in the phone without risk of heat damage.
It would dual-boot Windows and Android (hopefully CyanogenOS, that would be preferred). In Windows, it would support Continuum with the dock, and in Android probably just mirror the phone screen, but allow the phone screen to be powered off while plugged in to the dock. The dock could also be powered by a Mobile Extender item (ala HP Mobile Extender for the Elite X3).
The phone screen would be 5.5-5.8 inches, with 4000mAh battery or bigger (I don't mind if the phone is large, I'd rather have a bigger battery than a small phone). Curved back (though admittedly, this may be wishful thinking, and unrealistic with the whole heat sink thing), IR Blaster, stereo speakers with great sound quality (think Boomsound from HTC), probably 6 or 8GB or RAM.
I think that's all my major points. What do you guys think?
Is there 3rd party one available that doesn't overheat watch?
I am also interested in this.
Related - is there a wireless pad that could charge the GW3 as well as a phone? The included puck won't charge my S10e.
Although now that I have a metal band on my GW3, I'm pretty limited (i.e. watch has to wrap around the wireless charger because of the clasp, as opposed to the original leather strap that completely disconnects).
ever since the moto 360, all my smartwatches have had a metal clasp/band.
i use the duo pad from samsung, but i hang the duo pad over a table so the watch can hang...

Hello ,
i use original charger with this :
Galaxy Watch 3 Night Stand S352
Spigen’s Night Stand for the Galaxy Watch 3 (45mm/41mm) is made entirely of scratch-free TPU for minimal aesthetics packed with smart functionality. It features a bottom lip that cradles your watch on its side for stability that prevents your watch from swaying side to side. An exact charger...

Same thing Galaxy watch 46 mm .
Best Buy has the original Samsung Charging Pad on sale for $14.99.

You can 3d print or buy a stand for these
Here's a link to a 3d printable holder for the charging pad. It's my favorite and if you print it at 100% PLA and add some small stick on rubber feet to the bottom it's heavy and stable enough to stay where you put it.

Agree with Best Buy options...
I'm using this one. Works with phones and watches https://www.samsung.com/uk/mobile-accessories/wireless-charger-pad-p3105-ep-p3105tbeggb/

Hi, I just found out that my old Gear S2 watch charging cradle charges my Galaxy Watch 3.
I haven't used it to fully charge the GW3 yet but hey, it actually charges, will try it next time the watch needs a full charge and see how well it goes.

If you just get a few tall stick-on feet, the watch band will go right under the charger. I've always preferred the metal bands and this was the first issue I ran into with them. This works great. Notice the one foot in the center of the fan, be careful not to block the air flow.
Hello everyone, I am looking for a cooler for the Note 20 Ultra as in the video that I put below.
Does anyone know where to buy it? do you recommend another? does it really work? is there any with internal battery?
Thank you
Try Amazon, they have a few like this, I've gone for a Razer ArcTech Pro case which helps a little in keeping phone cool. I also use a cooler stand again available on Amazon.

I recommend the blackshark Funcooler 2 pro. Amazon has some.
A fan and a damp microfiber cloth alone or together work well.
At some point if you insist on running high cpu cycle intensive apps you should get a dedicated hardware platform that can heatsink it... a gaming laptop.
With the Note you best be more worried about the case's impact protection. Bulky cases are a pain. Consider what this device's primary mission is before you precede...
