Hi all,
I was looking around but I couldn't find anything.
I have this problem of getting notified only when on WiFi. I've removed battery optimisation from the apps but the problem still persist.
Is there any way to fix it because it is very annoying.
Thanks in advance.
Any guess what could be the problem?

Hey guys,
I started having a weird problem tonight and I was seeming the wonderful assistance of this great forum.
I updated a few applications on Market, None of which I would "think" had anything to do with this problem. The problem is though I have no notification when I receive text messages. I usually use Handcent for my text messages. But when I first restart phone it works for a minute, then stops. I have no app killers or anything like that that could be causing the issue. I Just can't figure out why it works for a minute, then stops. It is a really big problem haha. At one point for a minute after restart I had the stock messaging application, and Handcent both notifying me of messages with actual sound. Other notifications work and all other noise seems to be working fine. What could have caused this, and what can I do to fix it? Anyone else had something similar happen to them.
By the way.. I am running Cyanogen 5.0.6 and 2.1 obviously
Thanks a lot and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Blaine
I just noticed I am not getting push notifications for emails while on wi-fi. As soon as i turn wi-fi off the emails come in.
I downloaded k-9 to see if it was just gmail acting up but its the same for that as well.
have done quite a bit of searching for answers but none of them seem any good please help me out this is pretty annoying
nobody?
aside from the god awful battery life im getting with this rom that im also tryin to fix i really like it and want to keep it..
but there has got to be some way to fix this wifi notifications problem really bothering me since i am on wi-fi all the time at home
edit: im pretty sure if i turn the wi-fi sleep policy to when screen is off then that might be a way around this problem but I never had to to that on stock so i feel like there must be a way to fix it.
well thanks for all the help guys i appreciate it
but if anybody is interested for future reference.. by going into the modem and allowing my device through the gaming dmz that seems to have fixed the problem
glad i made this thread (not)
I think I've found a cause for battery drain on my and possibly other devices. It seems every few moments an icon flashes by very quickly. I began noticing this a month or so and upon closer inspection when I can actually get a good look at it, it looks like a grayed version of the Sense 5 Stocks app icon . It's strange because I don't use the app at all. Any idea what this actually is/could be or potentially a way to stop it. Or is nobody else experiencing this and I'm just crazy or unlucky?
Any help appreciated and I will answer any questions you need to help resolve this.
Thanks,
I have a problem with GPS. Rarely finds satellites and loses them. I noticed the problem after the installation of the update from 1 January.
Has anyone noticed similar problems on their device?
This is really annoying. Especially when it comes to navigation.
I'll add that I've already removed the case and it didn't help anything.
Greets.
I second this. I have the same issue w/ my GPS.
The problem has solved itself. I don't know how, but everything has returned to normal.
I have the same problem after Oreo update. Then a new update came and the problem stoped for a while, but now it's back!
Does anyone have a solution or workaround?
Same here...
Hi all. Been a long time since I posted on here.
Hope everyone is well.
I need some help with the below issue. I just updated to the newest update (April) and since then, every time I put my phone in charge I get this little annoying overlay which just sits on top of everything- apart from when I go to the settings page. I have tried to find something within the "Appear on top" options but found nothing. Anyone else had the same issue?
UK Vodafone and not rooted.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
That must be some 3rd party app running. Guessing some battery or performance checking app
