[Q] Battery drain cause? - Sprint HTC One (M7)

I think I've found a cause for battery drain on my and possibly other devices. It seems every few moments an icon flashes by very quickly. I began noticing this a month or so and upon closer inspection when I can actually get a good look at it, it looks like a grayed version of the Sense 5 Stocks app icon . It's strange because I don't use the app at all. Any idea what this actually is/could be or potentially a way to stop it. Or is nobody else experiencing this and I'm just crazy or unlucky?
Any help appreciated and I will answer any questions you need to help resolve this.
Thanks,

[Q] random reboot/mms bug?

Hi there,
just wondering if anyone else are having issues of their phone randomly rebooting? does anyone know of a fix?
also, sending photos as an attachment does not work. in order to send a photo to anyone on your contact list.
found a work around by going through gallery and sending it directly from there.
if anyone know of a fix for either issues. the help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
kevin
I've had several random reboots. Oddly enough, they usually occurred overnight when I wasn't using the phone. I would hear the vibration on my windowsill and saw it was rebooting. I did a factory reset yesterday and while in the midst of setting everything up on my phone, it rebooted again. I thought that maybe there was too much going on and it overloaded. But last night when I was out and not using my phone, it rebooted again. I'm gonna have to go to Verizon to swap the phone.
It keeps happening on mine, but almost always in the car while attached with BT. I'm wondering if BT has something to do with it, in my case.
Same thing
I am also experiencing the issue specifically at night. I have yet to actually have it interrupt me in anything but its still a concern. Just curious about whether for those of you who are experiencing it are using the Assist app or Android Assistant?
I only use the Assist app for when I'm in the car. It's not setup for night time. I exchanged my phone at Verizon today and so far so good. One of the employees tried telling me that the reboots could have been because I had Better Battery Stats installed on my phone and the battery saver apps can conflict with the OS. I blew his mind when I told him that BBS wasn't a battery saver app and simply lets people know about specific wakelocks. Seemed like no one there had any idea this phone even existed.
For the reboots, I guess tonight will be the big test.
It happened again to me this morning as soon as I got in the car and it connected to Bluetooth. Once it reboots, it's solid.

Please report back. I have gone 24 hours without a reboot with no changes to the device which is a first. If it doesn't have a Samsung or Apple logo no one seems to care anymore.
I can't get Assist to work at all. I typically listen to podcasts in the car and when texts come in I get a notification sound but I've never had one read to me. I disabled Assist to see if this was the cause of my Bluetooth reboots, and it's not.
With Assist disabled entirely, each time my phone pairs with Bluetooth it connects but the moment I start to play something it reboots. It's very consistent.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I haven't had any reboots with the new phone. I exchanged my old one for this one on Monday and so far everything's been good.
I have now had 3-4 random reboots that I have seen. I have also witnessed a complete lock up of the phone. I will be heading into Verizon today to exchange my phone.
Just wanted OP to know more people are having issues.

bluetooth_pm wakelock keeping LG G4 awake

Hi, I've been trying to track down the issue with BetterBatteryStats+ and Wakelock Dectector FULL and found that the issue is with the bluetooth_pm wakelock. I've been googling about and people only mention it but nothing gets resolved. There's only one mention of it on XDA but no reply:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63955981&postcount=29777
What makes it's annoying is that when it goes away randomly and I get to enjoy the damn Doze feature but only to have it come back randomly. And this is when bluetooth is on. I haven't not factory reset the phone and restarting the phone may or may not have temporarily fixed.
What's is the damn "bluetooth_pm" wakelock? There's not a lot of info on this wakelock and I can't use Amplify or DisableServices to reduce or get rid of outright. I hope someone has a solution this issue.
EDIT: It's a Kernel wakelock.
Sorry for bumping this again. I have still not found the reason of why it happens aside from disconnecting from my devices (I have my phone connected to my lg tone headphones, motorola headset, my car, and my android wear watch).
Is there a way to get into the kernel and just kill it manually or set a timeout setting to kill it. The only way for me to fix it is to restart my phone; I shouldn't have to restart to get rid of this annoying wakelock.
I really hope to hear a response soon. Thanks in advance.
Bumping one more time, now with logs if ANYONE is just willing to look into this and find out what's wrong: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66119017&postcount=30423
In this post attachment, it happened again just 15 minutes ago. Please, someone has to be technical to read the logs better than what I can come up to determine what's wrong with it or provide an app to find and kill this wakelock without having to restart the bloody phone.
I know this is super old but I found out that GasBuddy of all things was causing the damn bluetooth wakelock. Not a damn clue aside some saying it uses bluetooth for location but REALLY?
Luckily, using Greenify fixed the problem
I had the exact same symptoms and phone, did the same steps and found the same thing is as you. GasBuddy for some reason causing bluetooth wakelock. Greenify, as you experience, 'cured' the problem. Interestingly, after dealing with this issue for months, after only a few hours of verifying a fix, GasBuddy updated (with new logo) and while somewhat improved the wakelock issue, it's still an issue. Unfortunately, Greenify seems to have a more difficult time hibernating the new version...
This is kind of a big bump, but I'm having the bluetooth_pm wake lock on my G6 and Google doesn't show me much except for this thread. I don't have GasBuddy on my phone. Has anyone experienced the bluetooth_pm wakelock and figured out a way to get rid of it?

Could be malware or another app hogging resources with a continuous background process kept alive with the blank screen and/or notification.
For record, I usually avoid installing apps from shady devs even from the PlayStore.

What is ts_wake_lock?

Hello. Recently, I installed BetterBatteryStats hoping I could find what drains my battery during standby and so on. So what I have found is that there is this wakelock called ts_wake_lock. Does anybody around here know what this is about and how it could be fixed? Thank you.

I honestly still have no idea what it is. It seems to drain my battery like crazy even after a factory reset. The interesting thing is that this seems to be less of a problem when I have movement detection disabled. But still, the wakelock is there and what the guy above mentioned simply is useless because it's a kernel wakelock.

I thought about a downgrade, but I fear to brick the phone :|
I had it on 108 and I have it on 120 as well.(L29C432) I don't think a downgrade will help you, though.
I haven't received the update notification yet... Hope the new firmware will solve the problem on my device.
Folks, I have exactly the same problem! And ideas how to fix it? It disappears in save mode, so it must come from an Huawei exclusive app? I also noticed ridiculous values for the motion detection.
It's the (t)ouch(s)creen wakelock (or one of them anyway, I think there are others as well). AFAIK it fires every time you touch the screen.
Check your display & developer settings... screen timeout, aod etc I see this wakelock on my p20 pro, but it doesn't seem to impact on my battery unduly.
Change one setting and see if it makes a difference, then try another etc.... Not sure, but it also could be an app keeping the screen alive.
Thanks, that's what I was guessing, too. It has something to do with the "lift to activate" feature, I guess. My device has billions (really) of ts_wake_lock and significant_motion triggers in the bug report. It does affect the battery quite a bit here. I'm not sure what could cause this, I have reset my phone a few times and I currently have no user apps except for BBS installed.

I have the exact same problem on my mate 10 pro. Its a new phone, i have factory reset it a couple of times.
My BBS stats look almost identical.
No, not really a solution. It went away after a while. I think I deactivated the play services, deleted its file and cache and then updated it to the newest version. This helped me with a better battery life. The ts_wake_locks are still there but only very few compared to the number I had before.

Annoying charging overlay

Hi all. Been a long time since I posted on here.
Hope everyone is well.
I need some help with the below issue. I just updated to the newest update (April) and since then, every time I put my phone in charge I get this little annoying overlay which just sits on top of everything- apart from when I go to the settings page. I have tried to find something within the "Appear on top" options but found nothing. Anyone else had the same issue?
UK Vodafone and not rooted.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
That must be some 3rd party app running. Guessing some battery or performance checking app
