Hi, I am currently waiting on the 168 hours list for unlocking the bootloader of my Mi 11 8/256 (Latest Chinese Stable ). And while waiting, I tried to ran some benchmark and was shocked pretty hard. The scores I'm getting are REALLY REALLY low. What is the reason behind this? Is this a Chinese rom thing or something else? and most importantly, will the scores improve after the xiaomi.eu rom setup? I know that sythetic benchmark doesn't tell the full story, but still, its really upsetting. Did i get some fake hardware or something?
FIY, I ran the tests in1080p 60Hz and the phone was in the freezer for 30-40 seconds beforehand.
And why it's base clock 1.8 Ghz ? Is it underclocked or something?

hi I'm not much higher in 12/256 without freezer 975 in single and 3397 in double
From what I've read the base clock speed is 4x1.8 but has other cores running at 3x2.42ghz and 1 at 2.84ghz. these were my scores on geekbench and 3dmark wildlife
So, both of your scores are pretty decent. So, what's wrong with mine???????

I might have figured it out. The main core is running at 2.15 Ghz instead of 2.84GHz. but what's the reason behind it? Is it underclocked (see CPU 7)

This is the case with all snapdragon 888 devices, the cpu has been throttled down few months after release to prevent overheating, check this score during the release https://www.google.com/amp/s/m.gsma...8_chipset_to_the_geekbench_test-amp-48391.php

Can't do that now as the ROM was too buggy for daily driver. Just seen it and tested it to see what it was like. But had several reboots and notification bar was buggy and there were quite a few freezes so I've reverted back to exiaomi.eu ROM V12.5.10.0 which of course is back to the other geekbench results. But from what I seen my CPU core 7 was hitting max 2.84ghz for a few seconds then going down to 2.14 then 2.5ghz while testing.

It was the beta from Xiaomi themselves that I was using so it would of been beta 1

I just got my Mi Note Pro last night. I am not familiar with MIUI nor have any experience with flashing / rooting, etc, but I have managed to Flash (I think) the Developer Rom from en.miui. Fast forward to now, I have added the Play Store and the apps that I usually use. I have also deleted most of the Chinese Apps which were pre-installed into the device.
Moving forward, I have tried to benchmark using Antutu. I get around 41-44k~ on Performance mode using the 64-bit version, and around 39k~ on the 32-bit. While the score is way better than any of my previous phones, it falls short of what other users share (around 50k out of the box, some optimized out to 60k). Did I do something wrong, or do I have to do anything, to improve it?
It still doesn't have a sim card right now, if that matters.
P.S. I have already verified the product through Mi Verification, it is authentic.

In order to root, you need to download and update to developer rom. (http://en.miui.com/download-273.html)
Use Mi Verification apps to verify your mi note is genuine or not, once done verify, turn on performance mode
Install performance control apps,
Make sure your mi note is in 16-18 celcius of temperature to cheat the thermal sensor and run antutu, u good to go
My Note pro, just out of the box, scored 61.000 points on antutu 64 bits (more than one moth ago).
But now, after install developer rom, and several updates later, I can not pass 45.000 on the same antutu. Normal is 41.000 points.
But no problem for me. The mobile is usally very fluid. And temperature problems seems that have gone away.... Also battery friendly....
MI Note Pro Custom ROM Low bench Score
I received my MI NOte Pro the other day, with a custom ROM, Scored 4800 Benchmark score An TuTu, which is considerably less, So Custom ROMs gives low bench scores, meaning performance is affected . What do you guys think from your experiences ??

Hi guys, i've been playing around with this Mi a2 for the last week, and so far i'm not satisfied at all with it. The lack of the jack, the poor battery life even with greenify (around 4h of screen) and the lack of an active community around it are some of the reasons why i'm considering to take advantage of the amazon return policy and get something else. Should i get a Note 5 Global 636 (Pro) or a MI A2 lite? Do you have any alternatives in mind around 200 euro?
Wait for either Redmi Note 6 Pro (battery) or Mi 8 Youth (almost same as Mi A2 w/o jack and sd card slot but good design with notch and MIUI)
I would go for the Note 5 Pro if you don't mind MIUI since it looks exactly like the A2, only a tad thicker because of the battery, but because of it, the camera bump doesn't protrude as much.
If you can't live with MIUI, then definitely go for the A2 Lite. Can't beat the value.
Do note that the 636 is notably more powerful, and has especially better DSP meaning that you can take photos faster on the 636, but at the end of the day, it all depends on how you use the phone and what works for you.

Yes, the cpu doesn't seem to clock down. The first 4 cores are stuck at 1843 Mhz and the last 4 at 2208Mhz.

I'm not a fan of MIUI but there are plenty of roms for the Note 5 Global to get that sweet aosp/pixel experience.

So that's why you have only 4 hours of screen on time.
As you can read in that thread, the bug is caused by the Goodix fingerprint sensor. Waiting for a fixing update, just disable the fingerprint sensor for now and you'll not have the bug anylonger.

Thanks for the advice, disabling the fingerprint lock got me another half an hour of SOT. Which is nice, but far from what i would get on a mi a2 lite or a note 5 pro.
SOT: https://imgur.com/a/4gGHQ69
Giving that the mi a2, the mi a2 lite and the note 5 (pro) in italy on amazon are around the same price i think i will go with the note 5 (pro) and flash lineageos on it to get rid of the miui.

you definitely must wipe cache at least, or reset the phone, since obviously you have some kind of conflicts in software; update is very ok
Maybe, but i don't know how to start in recovery on this phone.

if you have made any tuning, share it with us so that we can all improve our beast!
Here's mine. I have most battery intensive options on though, like 120 fps and such.
Bananablob debloated?
Yes, on latest MIUI Mix. I'm debloated in the sense that the rom is pre debloated itself.
Also, I'd be surprised if a few bloatwares would reduce a performance score that much.
What adjustments do you suggest ?

Everything "feels" more fluid...still looking at battery life. Generally liking it.... Will post if something gets weird.

Is it worth buying? I am thinking about buying it for my wife.
Edit: I bought Redmi Note 10 5G and I am so happy because my wife is happy.

Depends what your wife would do with it. Battery life is good, CPU is decent for the price. But the phone can lag around in MIUI. Camera is acceptable.
Thanks, you know women. Camera. lol

honestly, you should spend a bit more on a redmi note 11
it offers a better camera (50mp, but it has a bigger sensor which = more detail and more widely light capturing avail, great for her id say), a powerful cpu (Snapdragon 680, it also uses a different processing than the mediatek of the redmi note 10 5g) and a better display (amoled, 120hz), for id say 15-30 more?
ur choice, but the redmi note 11 is great for the 10 5g budget

Yeah! I have note 10 5G for about 1yr
Display Brightness is only 400nits so
display is too dark in sunlight , 18W is not enough for 5000mah battery and OB48B is not good as N11 4G's Samsung sensor, display is too bad at colour production, go dimensity 700 for 5G only otherwise sd680 is better at overall! spend a few dollars for N11 4g or note 12 5g
*I also have dimemsity 1000+
and I believe mtk chips are on-paper tigers!
