IMEI LOCK?

Hello, i found one of this wonderful PDA Mobile. Its vodafone and i think is locked by IMEI as everything works smooth but cant call or recieve callings, just that, the sim card works ok.
Is there any aplication to change imei and make it works and if is posible make it work for orange cards? Thanks.
Is my first PDA and im lost, im also spanish and dont understand english very good so is hard to me find anything like this here coz i dont know what i need.
Thanks.
Perhaps you should read this - seriously:

allready know this,im just looking for any program to change email
since you said your english is not good, I'm not sure when you said "you found", you actually mean "you found", or "you bought". If any case, it sound like the phone has been reported lost and the IMEI of the phone is in the blacklist, and it will not work in the entire country, doesnt matter what network operator you are with. This effort is to curb the issue of theft on mobile phone. I would suggest you to either report this phone to police (if you 'found' it) or chuck this back to the seller than sold you this phone.

**** my bad lol. Meant imei, and yeh the mobile is found, i would never buy anything that doesnt work.
Well if is not posible someone tell me so i stop searching and enjoy it as PDA wich is good.
Finder keeper.. loser weaner.. well probably it is right for you to keep it as a PDA. Yeah, answer is no.
If you have "found" it, someone has "lost" it. Wouldn't it be fair to report the phone to police so that the legitimate owner has a chance to have it back?

[Q] CSC and emergency numbers

Hi people !
Sorry for my bad english first.
I have a question : i have heard that the Galaxy S' CSC contains emergency numbers. Is that true ? ( it's not in the SIM card ? )
And if i flash my rom into an another CSC, could i call the emergency number of my country ?
Thanks for helping me.
I don't know if you understand or not ...
If you don't understand, tell me please cause my english is too bad.
It is US law (and possibly EU law as well) that all phones be able to call emergency numbers for free, at any time (that is even when locked or roaming). That is why at times before you are logged onto your carrier, you will see Emergency Calls Only in the notifications.
However, you need to physically dial the number (be it 911, 114, or whatever), and the phone needs to recognize that number as an Emergency number and let it go through for free. I am almost sure this information is included in the CSC for your region and cannot be edited by the user. It may also be set based on your carrier via the APN, but I don't think so. Therefore, if you load a CSC for another region, it is possible that it will not recognize your local emergency number when you dial it. However, you don't need to worry about your phone dialing 911 in the US long distance when you are in Kazakhstan or something, just because you have a US CSC loaded.
Thanks for anwsering me. I think i'm not gonna to flash my phone because if emergency numbers are in the CSC, i couldn't call emergency anymore if I have probleme.
Thank you rschenck. ( I have use the thanks button too ) ^^
Or just be sure to flash a Mod that includes your region's CSC (many have multi CSCs available), or get your region's CSC and flash it in separately once you have installed the Mod.
Also, remember that not having the right CSC doesn't mean you CAN'T use emergency numbers, it just means that the phone doesn't recognize them as emergency numbers.
Ok thanks but what means can be used but not recognized ? I don't know if you understand, tell me so, I know my english is bad. Thanks.
No worries...
A little background. As phone booths and pay phones started disappearing in the US, a worry went around that unless you had a Cell Phone with active service, you couldn't call for an ambulance or report a fire or call the cops. This was especially important back when most cell phones were prepaid, or had limited minutes. Also there was concern from some people that it took too long to dial an emergency number using a cel phone.
Therefore, it became the law that any cell phone can call a preset emergency number regardless of if you have more minutes available or not. Many phones also allowed you to enter an emergency number from the lockscreen, therefore anyone could pick up a phone and call 911 with it, even if the user had locked it.
For that to work, the phone has to recognize that the number you dialed is an emergency number, and not just a few random numbers or your local 'dial a joke". If the number is included in the list of emergency numbers that the phone recognizes (which I believe is part of the CSC), then it can call it for free, from the lock screen, yadda yadda.
However, even if the phone does not recognize the number as an emergency number, you can still open your phone and dial it as normal to summon help. You just don't get the special features that you would if the number was recognized by your phone as an "emergency number".
Oh thanks for the explanation. I'm french for information.
I just wonder if french emergency numbers have "specific functions" as considering emergency numbers as priority call or something else like that.
To sum up things, if I have a CSC different of my region ( for example : KOR instead of XEF ) I CAN call the emergency's service from my dialer ( after entering PIN code ) but CANNOT call emergency's service before entering PIN code (because it's not recogniez as "emergency number"?)
A big thanks to you for taking time to explain things to me.
Exactly, as far as I understand it.
Thank you very much ! Thanks button ^^

IMEI problem - can someone explain/advise?

Short version: who can fix IMEI on my (legally bought) phone?
Long story: I bought a new G870A phone around XMAS from an ebay-like store (I live in Poland). It seems to be an American phone (I get an ATT logo). It worked fine in Poland for two weeks I was using it (Polish SIM, T-mobile operator), but then I left for my work in South Korea, where I have a Korean SIM (SKT op.) it had connectivity issues: phone/SMS/wifi work, but mobile data doesn't work if the phone displays LTE 4G on the top. If it shows just 4G it works. I took it too SKT shops (three), all swear it's not an operator problem. Took it to the Samsung service center, they couldn't figure things out, sent it to the factory. I got a call from them (well, I don't speak Korean, so it's handled by my Korean gf). She said: "the number of INEI on the phone does not match the manufacturer’s serial number on the phone. Based on my understanding from his explanations, the manufactures finds for the serial number with INEI numbers, two numbers need to be the same. If another person is using a phone with the same INEI numbers with yours, your phone might not work properly. Your phone is not in the process for A/S since ur phone itself has the problem. So, they suggested you to contact the distributor what happens." I did some research on IMEI, and I am confused. I am reasonably sure that the place I bought in Poland is legit (I got the box, warranty card, proof of purchase; the business has official government registration, and 99% satisfaction ratio for its ~2,000 sales). The mobile data worked in Poland, which would suggest IMEI was fine - until the flight/SIM change? What could have messed it up? And if it is, who can fix it for me? Seems like the Samsung rep wants me to take the phone halfway through the world and complain to the Polish seller? Should I try to get if fixed in Korea? Whose fault is it? It also seems like it is possible to get the IMEI changed without root, could it be that someone "stole" my IMEI number? Could IMEI numbers work in one country but not the other? Should I try to change the IMEI myself - and if so, are there any good guides for that? I also read that changing IMEI is not legal in many countries, but presumably the vendor/service center can do it? But who is the party that should fix my phone? The original vendor? Are IMEI problems covered through warranty?

Sm-n9208 update can't receive calls

Hoping someone can help me here. I have the dual note 5 sm-n9208. I was told by a tmobile representative that my phone is one of the phone affected by the latest upgrade and makes it non compatible with the cell tower. Basically I can only run 2g on my phone, plz is there a rom that will fix this. I can't afford to purchase a new phone rite now. Alil of what I'm facing: using 4g I can use the internet, calls go straight to voicemail, outgoing calls take a while to connect. Under 2g can't search the web, but can make and receive calls. Did a master reset and the phone came back in Chinese, which lead me to the tmobile store. The language and input was missing. Thanks for reading this and your help. ?
Thanks for this, I was able to fine this info.
It gave me:
AP
CP

How to change your imei number?

I was reading this
<Mod edit: Link removed>
It says you can possibly change your imei number. Say you have an old phone, and want to use a new one, but the new one is the asus rog2. Now if we change the asus imei to lets say a samsung att imei that you have, then att will see your device as a samsung , but in fact you will be using the new asus phone. This would work to get voLTE or wi fi calling , just like they do in asia.
Is this possible? They make it seem simple, and not sure if this would work.
I tried to change the IMEI on a samsung a few years back but was not successful.
But I am not sure if it has to do with the IMEI or the network recognizing the phone...
I had a sony phone that tmobile told me was an unknown device but it had wifi calling and VoLTE working on it.
But its DEFINITELY WORTH A SHOT! and I don't think its illegal if you let them know what you're doing and not defrauding anyone and own both devices! not sure though
To change IMEI number is pure OUTLAW.
Suppose a dude steal a phone from a man. The man calls his operator, and asks for the IMEI block, so the thief can't use the phone to make/receive calls, send/receive sms', use its band to surf the web, because a blocked IMEI cannot access to the mobile network.
If the thief can change it's IMEI, the thief can use the stolen phone just like he bought it, or to sell it by his own. Gottcha?
Yeah but im not concerned with the negative use of something that is everyones right to have. If you own a phone and want to transfer your imei to your new phone because phone companies force you to because volte or wi fi calling restrictions , and its not illegal, why not. My aunt always says , in a work environment they like to play games with you, you have to learn to play games back...best advise i ever got, and it holds up well here.
Anyways whats wrong with being an outlaw , Robin Hood was pretty cool hahaha.
