[Q] Milestone 2 question plz assist

hey ppl, iam an owned of the HTC legend which i like quite much, nice design, funny to use etc. although i think its time to change it for something faster and i was wondering if u guyz can recommend me the milestone 2 which iam recently interested in. Can u plz ppl tell me what are the "+" and the "-" of the device, does it have a deep social integration, cuz the Legend does and i appreciated this alot. it synced my FB contacts with my sim card contacts, with their FB pics, profile photo, info etc, how is the menu like? what about the moto blur? CPU and RAM ? ( i know its 1ghz and 512 ram, but how does it work) hows the game experience, graphics, smoothness etc. Camera..?
thanks alot guyz, hope to receive 1 or 2 advices about it, and believe me, i read alot on the forums but i think the best opinion can be given by the true users, not the reviewer.
Regards, Ivan

ROM 5.10.9 android 5.1.1

Downloaded 5.10.9 from Xiaomi servers OTA
Took a couple of hours but succeeded first try.
Seems to be better battery although might be too soon to say.
I preferred previous ROM transitions, find the new ones too fast (yes too fast )
Haven't noticed other things, no problems.

I feel an improvement at battery life too...
Sent from my MI NOTE Pro using XDA Free mobile app
I think the headphone jack output volume was decreased since 5.10.9. Anyone got the same problem sonce updating this?
Does anybody know how to increase the volume limit natively? (Not via EQ or Amp)
I saw sMIUI has a volume mod, so it should be possible.
I use the Mi Headphones and also the Mi Pistons v3 and both are decreased in volume since that update
Haven't noticed that as I don't use headphones. Speakers volume seems to be the same...
Otherwise It rebooted while in the pocket twice today.
use MIUI 7 for Mi Note

BEWARE! Don't use any Mi Note Pro rom for your Mi Note. Different hardware! Your phone would be bricked!
problem volumen headphones ? try to flash polskarom or multirom.me i not testing volume headphones
Also for me a far more aggressive memory management in this version
Im back to 5.9.17 just because of the volume down problem

Worth Upgrading to the MI MAX 3 and OREO OFFICAL MIUI

Hi everyone I have a MI MAX 2 and I am thinking about the MI Max 3. Jut curious is it worth the upgrade.
Also will the Mi Max 2 get OREO officially via MIUI
I would rather upgrade to honor note 10 tbh. Better camera, flagship CPU, amoled display, nfc, ufs storage, etc

Thats not worth if you already have Mi max 2 already. If you just want to have upgrade android version.
Simple buy mi a2 android one.
You will get all the android updates quick then to other device.
Even Android P (Pie) too.

Like you i love this phone and i like to buy it. But because of HiSiliCon CPU i'm sure this phone won't recieve any Lingea OS custome rom.
I prefer to buy a phone with SnapDragon CPU.

Sadly, it's confirmed that the bootloader of the honor note 10 cannot be unlocked, so it's near impossible for a lineage OS or any custom ROM to be on the note 10.

correct. ALL Huawei and Honor phones from now on onwards will have locked bootloaders that cannot be unlocked. and thats the very first step u need for custom roms. so thats it for alternative software, its ALL stock.

my redmi note 5 pro shipped with 7.1 but last week I had an update to MIUI 9 with android 8.1.
The same with my mother Redmi 5 plus (snapdragon 625), now updated to MIUI 9 with android 8.1
Is there any chance for Mi Max 2?
A bit OOT but just bought a Mi Max 2 4/64 for only US$170, Mi Max 3 4/64 is $260. I didn't think it was worth it, esp I dislike tall screens n non capacitive buttons

My Max 2 is fantastic with an OC to 2.8GHz, no need to worry about ARB and China version.
In fact, I'm buying another Max 2 :laugh:

It was just Huawei who stopped provide us the unlock code. But if we still wanna take some benefits from the a unlocked device, we can spend a few bucks (about €5, I used it 2yrs ago) to use DCUnlocker's service. Sometimes, Huawei's unlock website has been down due to the maintaining, so I switched to DCU (I'm a patient user :silly:, unless the website down when I got a new phone :laugh, and one more thing,l: I hope that DCU will not increase the price of the unlock service :laugh:
P/s: @jbmc83 , I'm asking a ETA, but can you update me on the info about P for Max2 :laugh:. This time of year is my high demand sale season, I don't have enough time for my online-life -__-. Thanks.

I've upgraded to Mi Max 3 and compared it with Mi Max 2. Take a look here
Here are the main differences of Xiaomi Mi Max 3 (comparing to Mi Max 2):
18:9 aspect ratio;
a bit thicker but more comfortable to keep in a hand;
slightly better screen;
improved performance;
fingerprint sensor works a bit faster;
better camera;
bigger battery.

funny thing though: due to the bigger screen, the MM3 actually seems to sport less battery life than the MM2, even though its got a slightly larger battery capacity. thats according to reviews and user reports.

well for that to be answered properly u should define what "best" actually means to you. best performance? best battery life? best customization options? least amount of bugs? best theming capabilities? best update cycle?

Quick charge in RR can be easily "fixed" by instaling a custom Kernel made by Hard Rock.
MSM rom is best no doubt.

Of course msm extended is best. Pixel experience is also good.... I didnt find other that much improved roms. All the roms are good. Because that is the hard work of all the developer of every single rom.

I'll be using my Mix Max 2 for a GPS device, like in a Tesla. Permanently tethered to power and headphone jack. I usually run a couple Xposed modules to make changing songs easier, and things like that. Would the Pixel Experience ROM suit me best for its stability and lack of tweaks?
Why everyone is saying msm is the best rom right now? Pixel experience seems more up to date

it depends what people like to focus on. some people prefer frequent updates, other prefer battery life, others performance or theming options or customization options or stability, etc.
thats why ull always hear different opinions from different users so whenever someone says "this is the best rom!" my first question is always: in what regard is it best?

ive only been on xuefer los 14.1 and msm xtended v9.5 so far, so cant comment on other roms xuefer has better battery life but msm xtended is way more fluid and has more customization options.

the is no bugless custom rom for MM2 atm. but the only omnipresent bug is the missing possibility to adjust volume in call. as for performance, u could flash latest hardrock kernel onto any rom and overclock the crap out of cpu and gpu, thus get max performance

Which ROM compares best with HolyDragon ROM on 1P3T?

Hey folks,
I own a Oneplus 3T 128GB running Holy Dragon's (Skydragon) ROM for quite some time. I'm very happy with it and love the speed and customizability of this ROM, not to mention its stable. Basically zero issues and still lasts me 2 days when I don't use it too much. I typically get 4 to 5 hours SoT.
I'm now looking at Xiaomi 9T Pro and put the 3T on the shelf as spare. Which ROM would you guys suggest?
Customisations I'd really like are:
- Privacy guard (a must!)
- well maintained with security updates
- centered clock
- hold back to force close app
- hold recents to switch to previous app
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll be going through the ROM list too of course but hearing from experience which one would come closest would save me some time.
Cheers!

Basically that's (almost?) all Lineage functionality. So you want either Lineage or a ROM that is based heavily on it.
Lineage itself is very true to AOSP and so gives very little in the way of UI tweaks and customisations. If you like a ROM that you can tweak and change everything, then look for something that adds all that on top of Lineage.
