first think, my phone running stock and no root and still locked bootloader. warranty is off and i dont want to go to official service center as much as possible.
its 90% chance it would force reboot (freeze and then reboot) when i play game listed in armory crate (such mobile legend, arena of valor,or pubg). so i exclude the game from armory crate and it seems fine.
i update to latest firmware and it seems make it worst. sometimes when i scrolling down instagram or even make a whatsapp video call, it force reboot..
i already tried to downgrade from android 10 Version WW-17.0240.2108.103 using "Version Android 10 downgrade to P (WW)" from official website.
is anyone here have my problem or heard of such problem??
help me please
Factory reset... before the OS crashes and burns.
That's where you're headed; Androids exhibiting system instability have a severe issue(s).
Possible malware or rootkit.
Don't reload the trashware; WhatsApp, Instagram, FB and be wary of gaming apps.
already done that.. factory reset before downgrading.. and usually it happen consecutively.. after done reboot.. i go straight to the game to reconnect.. if i forgot to exclude it before go to the game, its 100% freeze and reboot again right away..
Ditch the problem app before it crashes your OS.
You need to keep your house in check...

i think the problem apps is armory crate.. because i close all apps before launch the game except armory crate..

Check it's permissions.
Clear it's cache.
Clear system cache.
If no joy, clear the app's data.
If still no joy, ditch the buggy app before it causes more trouble.
I have zero tolerance for poorly coded apps. They can cause a lot of trouble including the need for a factory reset. Boot loops and altering hidden user settings are some of the mayhem they can cause. Better to nip it in the bud.
done..problem still there (mobile legends+armory crate = freeze then reboot)

I would try wipe and reinstall. I used fix number 4 and my htc apps have been completely removed.
I have to agree, I am also still seeing com.htc.worldclock and com.htc.lockscreen and clicking on them does in fact cause a FC. But I can confirm that those apps are indeed uninstalled, so I don't see it as a huge deal. I don't like using the manage applications menu anyways because it takes so long to compute all the sizes and load all the names, so not a huge deal for me. You think that maybe whiping the dalvik cache might fix this? Just a suggestion, not sure what it would actually do.
I don't know i will try it i just hope it not related to a bigger problem
I tried wiping via recovery and it tells me to flash via adb shell I'm currently running recovery 1.5.2
I have found that even on 1.5 if you removed a system app after it was installed on the phone that it still left a trace on the phone. the way I got around it was just by downloading the ROM unzipping it changing what I wanted to change and then rezip and resign and then flash then there is no trace at all.
im not to sure how to sign a rom is there a good page tutorial for it.\
Thank you

Wiping Dalvik doesn't fix this problem for me. I have the same issue -- "ghost" items in your Manage Applications menu that you know you have already uninstalled.
One temporary fix I've found is if you go into the Manage Apps menu and "Clear Data" in either "com.smithmicro.DM" or "Download Manager", all the ghost apps and pieces go away. But this doesn't last through a reboot -- those all show back up again after every reboot, so it's not a permanent fix.
Any others have any luck with clearing these "ghost apps/pieces" out of the Manage Applications menu?
(I'm currently using ZenEXP MT3G ROM 0.9.6.3)
I haven't looked into it, but I noticed the same problem. The app list must be cached somewhere, which is interesting because it takes a good 10 minutes to load the app list every time i go to manage applications, which is why I rarely use it.
Every time I press the market application it takes me to terms and conditions. Its not a huge hassle i just accept them over and over again. Anyone else?
not rooted
Did you try to clear the data from settings>applications>manage applications?

thanks for the reply. Yes i actually do that with a lot of apps pretty regularly.
I also just pressed Maps and it went through the initial page like its the first time to press it ever or after an update. It doesnt happen every time with this app but sometimes. Again its not a big problem just kind of curious...Im going to keep track of all of the apps this happens with, maybe its native apps only, not that that would necessarily mean anything to me. Oh well, i forgot to mention i have the test froyo so in all probability its just a temporary issue until the official 2.2 is released.
I'm alos using Froyo and i don't have this issiue. do you maybe have a app that clears everything, like cache?
What i noticed in Froyo you can clear everything, if you do this the app acts like a fresh start. I had this with browser, lost all my bookmarks. Luckily i had a backup with titanium.
I don't have an app like that afaik but it sounds like it could be the cause so I'm going to go ahead and check my apps again. Thanks
If you are running an app like Advanced Task Killer or any other task killer app, you need to make sure Maps and Market are on the exclude list. From what it sounds like, you have it set to kill apps whenever you turn the screen off. So when you click on Market, it asks you to accept. Try this. Go into Market. Hit Accept. Click the home button, then click back on market. Does it prompt again?

So i tried what you said and when i immediately reentered the market i didnt get the terms and conditions page. Ive accessed the market 4 times today and ive had to accept terms twice.
However i stopped using a task killer a month or two ago. Could it be some app interfering?
Also, I have one nexus one that i use just to charge a battery so i exchange batteries usually at least once each day, i wonder if that could reset it? Except Maps has worked fine all day and i have to go through the initial info screen in that app every now and again. strange...
One last thing. When i use Flikie HD wallpapers, about evry third time i use it it freezes my phone and i have to pull the battery, but im not exactly sure when i installed that app and i believe the market/maos and other apps issue began prior to installing it, but possibly not. A lot of factors in play here
From what i've read seems like a regualr problem, Just picked the phone myself, But when playing things like Temple Run 2, Candy Crush & Tapped out, the phone just cuts out.
Problem has happened with Stock ROM, and on CM 10.1.
What am I best doing?
Sometimes apps can close on their own if Android is running out of free memory. Check to see how many processes you have running and free up some memory before you start the game by closing running apps . There are so many memory cleaner & app manager apps but the best I have found is a very basic app called fmr memory cleaner and then I use SystemCleanup by inteks which is the best cache cleaner out of so many that I've tried. So if this is the reason your apps are closing this should fix the problem.
U shud try a kernel with no ram hack
Sent from my LG-P990 using xda premium
I dont mean the apps jsut close, I mean the phone just dieds.
Flat out dead. have to pull the battery and try again.
Even if im running only that game.

I use GO Task Manager to clean up my RAM memory. They have a nice little widget which shows the percentages of RAM in use. Click the button (might have to click it 2 times every once in a while) and you'll see the percentage go down. This might help clear up some RAM for your games.
If this doesn't help, try reinstalling the ROM, preferably with a full whipe (remember to back up your data, just in case).

For the last few days I'm experiencing this therrible stutter whenerver I want to acces quick options or open app drawer. On video with such low bitrate it's not that obvious, but if you watch carefully you will see. I mean this kind of hickup. App drawer does the same somewhere in the middle. I've tried to wipe cache numerous times, then full wipe using built-in recovery, but it's still happening. And other than that the phone is a beast and performs great, it's just annoying to have one of the fastest Android devices out there and being forced to look at those stutters every time I want to use quick settings or app drawer.. Anyone know what may be the case here?

Hi, I had the same issue after the 7.0 & 4.0 update, after a few days of using it. Cleared the cache and factory reset from recovery solved it. Also, I`ve reconfigured my phone from the scratch, without making any backups ( just contacts ) . Hope it helps

Hi. i have same problams with animations after update oxygen 4.0.1, but it happens when i switch on any Services (Advanced>Accessibility>Services)
Whenever I play videos in my gallery and even just opening YouTube and TikTok apps, they all turn black and white. It goes back to normal when I stop playing the videos or when I exit the said apps. My other apps with videos on them are working fine... I tried checking the settings but all were the same, nothing changed. I tried searching online but all videos shown don't have the same problem as mine. I'm trying to describe them because I can't post a video..

Which phone and Android version?
One of your 3rd party apps probably screwed up hidden user settings. Simply unistalling the app may not fix it. If you can find the app and the setting in that app that did this, that will fix it. It could be an app you already uninstalled, if so reinstall it and correct. Think hard as to when it started and what happened that might have caused it.
Possibly could be malware or the user data partition has been corrupted. Factory reset and be careful what you install.
Ditch Tiktok, it's malware. If you insist on using it login using your browser instead. Crapware can and does cause big headaches...
