Question Viper4Android on Xiaomi.eu ? - Xiaomi Mi 11

Has anyone got V4A working on the Mi 11? For me it just gives the "No driver found" prompt. When I install the drivers and reboot, the prompt still shows.

How to update manually:
If you do not have Android SDK, follow the following steps:
1- Download OTA and move it to your external memory card.
2- Download minimal adb and fastboot (instead of android sdk)
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347803384
3- Download and install all proper drivers.
https://userscloud.com/yh0mdislay2c
4- go to settings in your phone/about phone / build number : click on it 7 times to enable developers options.
5- in developer options enable adb debugging.
7- open "search" in your computer and search for "cmd", once it apperas drag it to your "minimal adb" directory/folder and start it. (easier)
or you can run command prompt and navigate using commands to "minimal adb" directory. (ask Google if you don't know how)
8- In adb window type: "adb devices"
a message will appear on your phone. Click ok.
Back into adb window type: "adb reboot recovery"
Your phone will restart and you will see android icon with red exclamation mark.
Hold your finger on power button then press volume up, you will see the recovery menu
With volume keys move and select "apply update from SD card" using power button and then choose ota.zip
i flashed it by twr 3.0 recovery but it's need flash twr recovery and super su files and xposed again
Let's see what google can do about OTG missing feature

I received this automatically, would just clicking "install" ruin anything (I'm rooted)?
I have this annoying update notification that won't go away even if I click "later".

I don't know if this could be possible on Android one rom.
You may try to force stop system update (google services framework) or freeze it, but it doesn't seem to be a good idea.

He may try adb sideload,, but this method is easier.
I don't know why he got a blank screen actually
The ota is designed to be flashed throw recover, I don't think it can be flashed using flashtool, however I remember that @Hovatek team made a sp flashable one, and it was a previous marshmallow update
You may ask them if they could help
Yep! That's exactly what he did , side loading , but he just got a black screen.
Anyway thanks for the hovatek pointer will gv 'em a look c

Updating to pie keeps failing *FIXED*

Tried several times to do the update through the settings menu.
Everytime it reboots the screen stays black.
I can turn it on, it vibrates for half a second. I see the Android one screen and the screen turns black. So i tried holding the volume up button and power button but no Dev menu.
So I thought it was bricked but after a few tries it rebooted and says it can't install the update.
I've attached the screenshot of the issue. I've tried it 3 times. It redownloaded the update and failed again.
Any ideas?
FIXED
@RomLover1999: gave the tip to reboot without a sim card, and that seemed to have fixed the problem!

Try booting without sim card
Same and via fastboot method same. Any solution? We need help its a one mi a2 more????
Unfortunately the error is not informative. I had this error when installing November update. The only way I found to see what went wrong is to check logcat during upgrade, but I think it requires root. In the end I flashed the OTA using fastboot. Still didn't get this update. Try opening shell from adb and reading logcat. I don't think anyone can help you unless we know what is 5he reason for failure

The november update has a bug in it that it only boots in english with a simcard inserted , other languages make the screen bug out ( at least that's what I had ) and only boot without a simcard
Worked greatly
Hey folks, just reinforcing the answer: removing the sim card before restart did the trick, the update went smooth.
Thanks @RomLover1999 and @seend

Ok, my phone is not rooted.
I was having the same issue. In the past I've unlocked in order to enable camera2api.
December/2018 (V10.0.2.0.PDIMIFJ) to January/2019 (V10.0.3.0) was failing via OTA.
This is how I solved it:
Download V10.0.2.0.PDIMIFJ dump from this thread
Reboot phone to Fastboot mode (vol down+power)
Run flash_all_except_data.sh or if you're in windowsflash_all_except_data.bat
In my case my environment is:
Linux Fedora 29
fastboot version c7815d675 from android-tools package (just make sure you have the latest fastboot)
Using original USB-C cable
After flashing and reboot the OTA update installed normally without any issues

Looks like ADB doesn't recognize your device. Meaning there is no driver as to where the computer can communicate with your phone. You first have to install adb drivers to get it to work the way it should.
Try this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979

okay mad, you're my man <3
you sent me on the right path, if you or anyone want to know what was wrong i'll explain it here
adb driver wasn't properly installed i had to manually install it on the device manager. the second issue i had was misc.bin didn't come with any of the downloads so i had to download that from somewhere else then flash it. after that twrp installed successfully. when i flashed the custom rom i wasn't able to reboot the system it would just go back to twrp. after removing the sim it worked then i just put the sim back in, and now everything is working well. thanks for your help

If that is the case, than you probably don't have proper drivers for Mi 5 installed, download MIFLASH UNLOCK 3.5.1108.44 from here https://xiaomifirmware.com/downloads/download-mi-unlock-3-5-1108-44/
Double click on MiUsbDriver and install fastboot driver. Now as Keno_I said you can try to install original fastboot rom via flash tool or latest TWRP recovery from cmd prompt on your computer.
Success, turned out that the usb was clogged with dust, and mi flash tool worked. Thanks for the support guys

Question Viper4android FX not installing drivers

Hi, I have a new problem, since I upgradedy Redmi note 10 pro to MIUI 13.0.8 Global viper driver install isn't working anymore with the error "failed to remount /system to rw". I have searched the internet vor the last few days but there's not even a mention of this error.
I would appreciate you help,
Thanks
Hi, i have
MIUI 13.0.9 Global
Try this, its working
2.5.0.4
{Mod edit: Quoted post deleted}
Now the app just freezes if I press yes on the driver install prompt after that it takes a min and then it says install successful but after a reboot it again comes up with the driver install prompt and the driver status shows this:
Nevermind just flashed a new module, now have the latest version of Viperfx(2.7.2.1) working with drivers just with one module

Sure, you just need this module so you can remove your old viper installs https://github.com/programminghoch10/ViPER4AndroidRepackaged
I had to enable legacy mode for it to work don't know if it's the same for you
Why Just why? Had to reset my phone because of bootloop and now I have A NEW ERROR. Now it installs the drivers without errors but after the reboot the prompt Pops Up AGAIN. PLZ help
Edit: found Out that the Install prompt No longer says Installing to system Partition but for some reason it says "Installing magisk Module" why?
If I install the viper for Android module everything works fine, I reboot then I open the app I click on ok on the driver install prompt but instead of installing the driver it says "installing magisk module' I let it do this, it reboots, after the reboot I reopen the app it brings up the driver install prompt again I press ok again and it says the EXACT SAME thing "installing magisk module" and this happens every time. Has anybody a solution for this?
