Unable to do anything after instaling TWRP (sm-a600fn) - Samsung Galaxy A6 Questions & Answers

Hi,
I´ve needed to root one device for testing purposes in our company, so I ve decided to do it on this phone. Found a pretty detailed tutorial - because the last time I´ve been rooting my phone it was during my high school times. And after install TWRP via Odin part, where I got PASS msg. my phone went into some state where it trying to boot but it's not able to do anything really, as u can see in the video.
also, hardware keys are not doing anything and the device is not recognized by PC, so I have no idea how should I proceed next?
So I'm asking you for help.
EDIT: Also tried to successfully drain the battery, charged it a little bit, and tried to use hardware keys after. It didn't help and it stuck in the same loop again.
... so now I'm trying to charge it a little but more to see what it does.

After charging batery, I ve managed get into download mode, and via odin flashed default firmware.
Problem was with TWRP, which was also for galaxy A6 but different model no. Found right one and everything works.

Use that version:
Release TWRP 3.5.0_9-0 · samsungexynos7870/android_device_samsung_a6lte
Built with lastest TWRP sources Built in SAR mode General cleanup
github.com
Or use OrangeFox R11.0:
Samsung Galaxy A6 2018 (a6lte) build releases | OrangeFox Recovery Downloads
Orangefox recovery for Samsung Galaxy A6 2018 (a6lte)
orangefox.download

Help, stuck in a boot-loop but can get to download mode and ODIN, etc.

Basically, I:
- Flashed CF-Root to get root on my Galaxy S
- Booted into CWM, started installing a new ROM
- The ROM install just got to a Cyanogenmod 9 screen and eventually turned off
- I turned the phone on and it now just cycles on and off, flashing the Galaxy S logo at me.
- I found I couldn't get into CWM either.
- I CAN get into Download Mode, so I tried re-flashing CF-Root, no dice.
- Tried Semaphore kernel, no dice either.
What do I do now? :crying: Really appreciate any help I can get, this will be an expensive mistake for me otherwise...

Try easy recovery first, if failed, use Ezbase recovery or any other recovery on the Collections for Android link below, should get you back to booting
Note: scroll down to Quick Solutions, If you think any would work for you too.

[Q] bricked phone, help please!

Hello everyone,
first of all, thanks for reading this.
So here's a short scetch of the details of my phone:
I have an samsung GT-s5570 galaxy mini I, and a half year ago i succesfully rooted it, now it's running android 2.3
Today I tried to upgrade it to 4.1 with cyanogenmod 10, so i did the recovery, update thing, but i forgot to install clockworkmod. after a 'succesfull' update, rebooting ends up giving me a black screen, normal startup gets stuck at the samsung logo. i tried to update it to the version it ported with, i tried to update it to the root thing, but none of these changed anything. Odin multidownloader doesnt detect it, even system wipe/factory recovery doesnt change anything. I'm not able to figure out how to fix this, please someone help me with fixing this and/or updating it to android 4.1 with cyanogenmod 10? thanks in advance!

Firstly, it was a dumb thing to do to flash a custom rom through stock recovery. Secondly, you can't fix it just by wiping data, you gotta flash stock rom via ODIN. Thirdly, to let your computer's ODIN detect the phone, it's gotta be in download mode. To go into download mode, just press and hold Home+VolumeDown+Power buttons.
There's a guide available in my sig feel free to refer to it.

GT-S5830V Won't enter download mode

It goes into Recovery mode ok but no download mode.
Power + vol down (or vol down + vol up) + home makes it loope the galaxy screen once then it just loads the built in rom.
After I first bought it I could get it into download mode. But after rooting her so many times she refuses to play ball.
I have tried unrooting it and uninstalling busybox / CWM etc but don't know what else to try.
is there anyway of resetting the "bios" of the phone to default or something?
I tried restoring the stock build.prop.
Dunno what else to do.
Any advice much appreciated.
Regards.
did u tried entering download mode through terminal?
in the terminal :
su
reboot download
and u ll be in download mode n if this doesnt work then try flashing new rom
Sent from my OCTA CORE I9500
He can't get into download or recovery because 5830v is an Aussie version with secure kernel. He needs a USB Jig to get his phone into download mode. However he can root the device by enabling USB debugging and installing the latest drivers and then running an exploit like Moto-Chopper (same as I have done). Then I'd advise using Galaxy Toolbox to unlock the device and backup the EFS. Then I would generate the PIT file and use EFS to do all full image backups of the device. I would buy/make a USB jig and then flash a custom recovery. Then flash new kernel. Then after all of that you may now flash a new ROM. Avoid Odin where ever possible. The 5830v is NOT the same as the 5830i. The i can handle software from the v but not visa versa.
Take that as a word of warning.
Edit: I posted in this thread because there is very little information of XDA about the Galaxy Ace GT-5830v

Hey Jarmezrocks!
I have an Australian Samsung galaxy ace gt s5830V. I am finding incredibly hard to find any info on how to fix the bootloop on my screen. As per your advice I have purchased a usb jig ( to get my phone into dl mode). But as my phone is not rooted and I have never put any upgrades or roms on it I'm a bit puzzled as to why it has done this and how to fix it. In your post you say not to use Odin. Why is that and what can I do instead?
Your help would be greatly appreciated because all the info on here is mainly directed at s5830i.
Thanks

Avoid Odin trying to flash a custom ROM, use it only when you need to. Flashing a more insecure kernel that enables download mode without the use of the USB jig in other words.
For you it maybe as simple as booting into recovery mode and simply doing a factory data reset? That should wipe any data that maybe stopping the device from booting correctly? After factory reset you should be able to flash a custom recovery zip from the factory recovery? I can re-upload what I used that was successful with the S5830V if you are stuck?

1) try to get in recovery and make factory reset (hint: go to download mode, then reset device and as quickly as possible press vol up + vol down + home to enter recovery)
2) I'm not responsible for any mods which I didn't tested on my build, so that D2Y Indonesian guy maybe didn't tried it out properly or you had some other mod which maybe make problems
3) I was testing back in days some mods but barely oworks just because it had older base for ROM (builds prior August 2014 most of time) and if I made it to work on latest CM11 then I had some problems with SystemUI and FC's
Sent from xda free using Mini 2 with Stock ROM (reverted so my mom can use it)
Thanks for fast answer,
I do not have access to recovery tried at least 10 times and nothing.

hint: try to flash cwm any 6.0.x version with Odin and then try to get in recovery...
also note: if you get in bootloop after flashing mods - do a factory reset from recovery.... it helps a lot.

Galaxy A5 having issues booting after firmware flash

Hello, people of XDA,
I had decided to restore my Galaxy A5 2015 (A500FU) back to TouchWiz. I had used Odin to flash the firmware back, and I had done the usual, flash into AP and left Auto-Restart on. I then realised, when the device was supposed to boot up, the screen when black and the phone turned off. I tried booting into download mode and into the recovery mode but nothing doesn't seem to work. I have even tried charging it but after 30 minutes, nothing seems to happen, even if I try to start up to download or recovery mode.
Help would be very much appreciated.
Thank You,
Josh

Why did you flash a firmware with and android version of 4.4.4 a.k.a kitkat? The latest is Marshmallow 6.1.0. What version of android did u have before u flashed kitkat? I think you flashed an old firmware over a more recent bootloader, which means u will be stuck and bootloop. Also, can you describe a bit more about what the problem of your device - like what actually happens when you hold the power button etc. Does you display turn on? You said u left it for charging for 30 Mins and the device still did not turn on... might be hardware related. When you try to boot into download mode or recovery, what happens on device? Please answer my questions and we might get closer to solving your problem.

I had the same problem but I still somehow rooted and installed twrp on my device without ever using oem unlock . I am pretty unsure on how I did it but I think I just used CF-Auto Root and then installed twrp later. The CF root file just rooted my phone somehow without me even finding the oem unlock. Just to say, if you are going to use CF, do at your own risk - Just search up how to root SM-a500F

i'm so sorry for not replying quickly, the device is completely unresponsive, wont even vibrate or charge. thats all i can say, its unusable. i will probably check the device for hardware issues soon.
Hi,
First check your device model is a500fu,
And check you flashed wich version twrp a3500fu
And flash file.i think file you flashed mismatch.
Conect charger and long press volume down button and power button .check booting or not.if not boot
Confirm wrong flash file you flashed...
