I recently bought a Samsung FE from walmart in canada but it was Used from the US linked to AT&T. I have moved to the UK and want to change the firmware to match my new current Provider 3. Is it possible to chnge the G781U firmware to G781B as i hate the AT&T logo and the restrictions they have put on the phone. Or even change it to a Stock firmware the doesnt have comany softwares and apps on it?

Hi all
I could have a T-Mobile branded Galaxy S. Is it possible to just replace it with the original unbranded firmware from samsung?
Cheers

In short: yes
The only thing you need to look out for is the sim-lock. Unlock your phone before you try and you should be fine. I had a 3 UK branded phone and flashed the generic firmware without any problems.
P.s. use search
Thank you I used search but specificly on T-Mobile which was probably stoopid. The seller claims that it doesn't have a simlock so I think I will go for that
I bought my note 5 in Singapore, it is in rooted and not locked. but now I am in Canada, the problem is I can no use Samsung pay, it seems the app is not uninstallable and it has no country selection settings, the only card and banks you can add from the app are all from singare. I already contacted Samsung Singapore, they said I can throw the phone away and buy a new phone in Canada.
Can I flash a stock firmware for sm-n920w8 (Canada) via Odin with out tripping Knox, so that I can use Samsung pay in Canada? yeah I am aware of that this may wipe the phone, I am OK with that.
my current model
sm-n920i
Android 6.0.1
build number MMB29K.N920IDVU3BPJ2
baseband N920IDVU3BQB1
can I flash these non branded Canada XAC firmwares from samfirmware?

No you can't do that.. It's a N920I and trying to flash the other firmware is either not going to flash or it's gonna brick your phone.. Samsung pay and Google pay block the phone from using those features and changing the settings while the phone is rooted.. Your best bet is simply get rid of the root and look for an updated N920I firmware!
Get another phone, Samsung blocks them like no other!
I've attempted to searched up the different kinds of firmware for this model phone and as far as I'm aware for the F series (international) versions of the S10 it is either for UK, Asia, or Europe
I have a Galaxy S10 G973F/DS and when I got it the stock firmware on it was G973FXXU1ASAT. Although reading further I've seen other firmwares ending in ASBA and ASC8.
I guess this means the Dual Sim model can only come from the asia model according to this chart
https://www.techwalls.com/samsung-galaxy-s10-model-number-sm-g973-differences/
I've been attempting to add TWRP onto my phone using this guide and I've been having difficulty with it and I dont know if the firmware I downloaded is not compatible with it. So if anyone else has any suggestions on firmware I'd like to know.

ASAT, ASBA, ASC8 are all different releases of the Firmware.... They are released in order Alpha and Numerically, So ASAT is the Oldest you named and ASC8 is the Newest... The most important is that the Model and bootloader portion of the firmware name is correct. G973FXXU1.... Then you have to find THAT EXACT FIRMWARE for your Carrier. Which like I said is NOT the ASC8 part(thats just the firmware release). It will be identified with a CSC code like "XAA"
So, at the end, you want the G973FXXU1ASC8 (or newer now) Firmware for whatever carrier you have...
Today, I would flash G973FXXU3ASIG for whatever COUNTRY/Carrier you need...
I'm currently living in Japan, but will be moving back to the US in a couple months, so I recently bought a refurbished Galaxy S20 FE 5g that claimed to be unlocked from the US and had it shipped to Japan.
It works fine with my Japanese sim, but came with AT&T bloatware installed and the model number is still SM-G781U. To my understanding, an unlocked phone should have a '1' after this, signifying that it's unlocked. Because of this, I don't get OTA updated and am still stick on Android 10 and One UI 2.5. So I figured I'd learn how to flash it and do that. It says the CSC is G781UOYN1ATIG, but then when I go to Service Provider it says ATT/ATT/ATT.
Could I just flash the firmware for the SM-G781U1, CSC: XAA onto it and be able to have a fully unlocked and updated phone? Sorry I'm a bit new to this and don't want to brick my phone. Thanks!
I did the opposite (from SM-G781U1 to SM-G781U) and worked with no problems. I needed ATT Wi-Fi calling that worked only with the ATT firmware when I was on Android 10. I suggest to do a factory reset when switching between branded and unbranded but (in theory) you should keep your phone data if you flash the HOME_CSC file.
Does anyone know of a good, easy p[lace to get the firmware for our beloved Galaxy S20 FE 5G?
mine is SM-G781U (actualy purchased though Boost Mobile- Soon to Dish)
Have seen some newer sites that claim, they have the files. However, not sure why their files seem not 100% after downloading the package. About 6.1Gbs for complete Rom, so far, but not able to actually use the darn thing. Odin has issues with the files.
So, if anyone actually knows where we can get firmware for our phones, I would be rather happy.
Tanx!
No offense, but: Just search here at XDA. There are at least two good tools - 'Frija' and 'SamFirm Reborn'.
"Frija" might do the trick. I know that the samfrim is not up to date, and may have stable issues...
I thank you for the pointers
I prefer Sanfirm, the 'Reborn' version is fast and stable.
Following this post. Frija is good but can any provide info on where to get ATT Firmware?

I use https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-G781U
now we can flash SM-G781U or SM-G781U1 ......SM-G781U1(factory unlocked from samsung) is the same as the G781U in all carriers.... now to get the carrier specific bloat updates or switch to other carrier to check out their bloat and updates download and only flash USER DATA file the correct SM-G781U CSC version (TMB SPR USC TMK XAS) USC is at&t in the us.... so AP BP CP and CSC from every firmware available for G781U are the same files and can be mismatched with other userdata.... now the unlocked firmware G781U1 has all carrier variant's built in triggered by Sim card insertion provisioning at boot
the website has march security update as the latest and the at&t website has two more so whenever somebody uploads latest the website will be updated and generally they are 3weeks behind the carrier..... This will not void warranty or trip Knox will not carrier unlock or unlock bootloader and if you have updated to latest bootloader rev3 then bootloader unlock is not available on the paid service
Or www.sammobile.com

The post above says CSS=USC is ATT but that's US Cellular. I am looking for the the ATT version as I am not getting HotSpot on my unlocked FE S20 SM-G781U (XAA). I want to flash to the ATT version but when I tred the one on https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-G781U1/ATT made no difference. I see the SW version to have ATT/ATT/XAA. The trick to use *#272#IMEI*#* does not work , I do not get the preconfig. My phone was bought in the USA directly from samsung. I m suprer frustrated with ATT . Hot spot works on my wife's iphone wiht my SIM
Any pointers from some one who has got Hot Spot working that would be great. I got Wifi Calling working outof the box but no VVM
