Magisk Manager can't open after rename during hide - Magisk

I renamed magisk hide as "setup" and after it's done, I could not be able to open magisk manager in it's new icon. When you tap on it, it will load the magisk logo and disappear.
Can someone direct me to the right direction in getting the magisk manager back in working order?

Hi,
after installing App Systemizer, Magisk failed to start after reboot. Magisk Manager shows the installed version (11.1) but no root (MagiskSU). The menu for deinstalling modules is not available.

Use magisk-mount in this thread:

After flashing, you can navigate to and delete the module's folder.
Thank you. Works now.
Interestingly, after installing magisk-mount Magisk started up correctly and with root. What…

Is it posible to uninstall Magisk temporarily?

Hi,
Sometimes I have some problems with my devices and want to disable Magisk just to be sure it's not the cause of the problems. My question is - if I uninstall it from Magisk Manager, and then after some time reinstall again will all modules with their configurations remain untouched? If not then is there any way to backup them somehow? Thanks in advance.
As long as you restore the stock boot image and keep the Magisk image intact, you'll have temporarily disabled Magisk and all your modules will still be installed and intact. Just flash the Magisk zip again to enable.
Easiest way to do this should be to use the "Restore Images" option when pressing "Uninstall" in the Manager.
Thank you. will do this that way. When installing again can't I just use "Install" from Magisk Manager?
You can patch your boot image and then flash the patched image manually. You can not install Magisk directly, since that requires superuser access...
Thanks, works like a charm.

"...Easiest way to do this should be to use the "Restore Images" option when pressing "Uninstall" in the Manager." - That's what I did on Galaxy S5 SM-G900M (klteub) running Official 16.0 build 2019-03-04 klte + Open GApps ARM 9.0 Pico + Magisk v18.1 to temporarily disable Magisk so I could test an unofficial addonsu alternative.
Note that a manual reboot is required to disable Magisk after using "Restore Images" as the reboot is not automatic like when using Completely uninstall.
I have 2 questions:
I see that the 99-magisk.sh survival script is still in /system/addon.d/ so if I update the firmware would it restore Magisk & re-enable it?
I'm happy with the addonsu so would running the Latest Uninstaller from the Magisk thread completely delete 100% of the files installed by Magisk & the mods it made to the original setup & in /Data?

No "Select and Patch File" Magisk Manager option

Hello, I have Magisk Manager 7.5.1 (267). There is no option here to select and patch the file.
I downloaded an older version of Magisk Magisk, when I wanted to install Magisk, I downloaded the latest version of Magisk Manager right away. I cannot use the older version.

update magisk 20.3

Hello,
I have Magisk 20.3 and Magisk Manager 7.5.1 installed (OnePlus 7 Pro) and want to update both.
However, any manager app before v22 only allow me to update the manager and not magisk itself.
Any versions after v22 does not allow me to update from 20.3 as they dropped support for versions lower than 20.4.
How can I update magisk 20.3 without loosing data ?
Thank you,
Note:
I tried
Magisk Manager 7.5.0, 7.5.1, 8.0.0, 8.0.7 → only offer to update the manager
Manager App 22.0, 22.1 and later → do not support magisk 20.3
Device: OnePlus 7 Pro, Oxygen OS 10.0.3
Is there a way to update magisk manually?
Same question. I have version 7.5.1, and just attempted to update magisk manager via the prompt within the app. The manager app then prompts with "upgrade to full magisk manager to finish the setup" when I next try to open manager.
Tried:
Uninstalling Manager, reinstalling 7.5.1, and this prompt ""upgrade to full magisk manager to finish the setup" persists, even after deleting all data.

Unable to open Magisk App

I've flashed recently CSC file and lost the root. I updated MAgisk app up to 25.1 version (not a zip file just apk) but still no root. I have flashed Magisk 25.1.zip file in TWRP recovery. Now the phone is rooted, but I unable to start Magisk app. It just stuck on the start (The Mask). I tried to uninstall Magisk app via Application manager, and reinstall it following by reboot. Still Magisk unable to start. I don't remember whether MAgisk was unhidden before the update and zip installation. What should I do next?
Should I rename the Magisk.apk to uninstall.zip and run this file in TWRP. Then install Magisk apk and install zip file from within Magisk App? If so, what the best way to install MAgisk App; via TWRP or File Manager?
