Question Xiaomi Note 10 5G Dark Mode issue - POCO M3 Pro / Redmi Note 10 5G

So i like to always keep my device in dark mode but there is a very annoying issue with dark mode
MIUI keeps forcing dark mode on apps i know i can disable it from "more dark mode options" but they get re-enabled after an update, So is there a permanent option to disable this feature ?

Mi 8 does not turn off or reboot after some hours turned on

I'm having the same problem in all versions. After running on the phone some hours, if you try to reset or power off the phone, it doesn't turn off at all. The screen goes off but the phone is still on. It keeps working. It can be tested turning on flashlight and powering off or resetting it, the flashlight doesn't turn off. It does not turn on again until you force reset by pressing a while the power button. I think it's related to the GPS problem, after some hours the GPS stops working, and this problem also appears.
Looks like I have the same problem.

I think its a firmware issue, because I'm not the only one affected by this problem. Two friends on miui 9 and me on miui 10...
Nvm got the same bug.
I've installed with miflash latest miui 10 global beta, ant the problem is still here. I've found this problem only when gps stops working

Same problem with last miui 10 eu
Dont have this problem on official global beta miui 8.8.7, sounds like software related issue to me rather than a hardware problem;
Yes, I think this because before unlock the bootloader and flash the miui 10 Eu i dont have this problem
Seems that this problem is fixed with the last miui 10 Eu 8.8.9

Xiaomi.eu has noticed this problem on their latest version too: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-8/how-to/rom-miui-10-8-8-9-xiaomi-eu-t3827802 (see changelog)

How to downgrade from MIUI 12.5 beta to MIUI 12

Hi,
I had the crazy idea of installing the MIUI 12.5 beta.
Since I had so many problems with Whatsapp, with Viber and also with Signal, I tried in vain to use MIFlash with "fw_raphael_miui_RAPHAELGlobal_V12.0.4.0.QFKMIXM_09 65bd52b6_10.0," error: Missmatching image and device, and then I thought about doing the factory data reset hoping to find myself restarting with MIUI 12.
Upon restart, unfortunately, the mobile phone is repaired with MIUI 12.5 and with the possibility to choose between English and Chinese, after the installation the Play Store icon is also missing!
I ask you how to solve this problem.
Thanks for your help.

OTA update not available

Hello,
I use MIUI 12.0.4.0 Stable on my Mi 9. When i check if there is any update, it says I've got the newest possible MIUI version. I know, that there is also 12.0.5 or even 12.5 MIUI available, but my phone tells me it's not... I've got Global version - 12.0.4.0(QFAMIXM). I tried to change regions over the world or even download stable ROM and install it via Manual instalation in settings, but it says it's not official or it can't be flashed... I also don't use proxies, vpns and I checked different internet providers. Why can't I just update my phone OTA?
+1. Same with me - I'm with 12.0.4.0 Global and no OTA available. Any idea please?

My error is Can't verify update. Can't flash this stable ROM.
Finally it worked for me. I was stuck with 12.0.4.0 without OTA update available. Manual update to 12.5.1.0 faced with above mentioned error. Then I tried manual update to 12.0.5.0 - it went well without any error. After phone restarting, the 12.5.1.0 appeared in OTA update, and I let it do its job.

sorry for the late question.
i'm facing the same problem. the error message in my phone is "Can't verify update" - Can't flash this stable ROM.".
I couldn't find miui 12.0.5.0 download link, so I'm still stuck...
I have found the link!
This link is only for our case - updating 12.0.4.0 to 12.0.5.0, and after that updating to 12.5.1.0 is available via OTA.
Thanks a lot @mttca for the idea.
I'm also on mi 9 and I succeed updating from 12.0.4 to 12.0.5 but 12.5 wont appear on my OTA and also wont let me manually update, what sould I do?

Well I'm still stuck on 12.0.5. Don't know what to do
Same, mi 9 global updated to 12.0.5 still can't update to 12.5
Change the Region in settings and search for updates.

u can update downloading the 12.5.1 global rom (fastboot) and flashing this via fastboot
Do i need to unlock the bootloader for that ?
The funny part is after updating to 12.0.5 the option to update from a file disappeared

Put your device into air-plane mode (i.e. disable all connectivity options)
Go to Settings -> Apps -> All (tab) -> Google Services Framework
Click on Clear cache (if enabled)
Click on Clear data (and OK the warning)
Click on Force stop (and OK the warning)
Disable air-plane mode (e.g. enable WiFI)
Check that you have access to the network
Wait (usually no more than a couple of minutes)
Optionally, go back to Settings -> About Phone/Tablet -> System Updates -> Check now
You should get a prompt to apply the new update (assuming there is one available for your device)

Doesn't work, also "clear data" clears the cache and force stop the app

Question Device freezing in MIUI 13 all versions and variants

After updating to MIUI 13, I randomly have freezing issue (when scrolling tiktok, playing game, watching youtube, etc.) which sometimes fixes if I wait and the system shows notification of "The *app* stopped working" or something, and many other times I can only force reboot the phone (by holding the power botton until it reboots).
The issue never occured on MIUI 12, only on MIUI 13 from the first version untill now. So overtime I downgrade the ROM or change it to other variants such as global version (the issue also occurs in other country's variants of MIUI 13), hoping that the bug is fixed everytime there is a newer version of MIUI 13 of Indonesia but it's never been fixed.
I report many times through the feedback and service but they only suggest to keep the RAM and memory managed, and to charge the phone in time, which don't solve the issue since I have plenty of internal memory space available and use the phone the same when I'm on MIUI 12 (also how the hell do I charge it in time?!).
Does anyone have this issue as well? And how do you fix it other than to downgrade or to change to custom ROMs? Is it better to wait till MIUI 14 comes out than to downgrade it again? Sorry for my bad English.
i have the same issue though, I'm still hoping an update for this kinda issue because it's really annoying. I'm not sure for install custom rom will fix it, or it does.
I ever thought that downgrade is the only way to do, because when I use miui 12 I didn't get any of bugs and issues.

MIUI 13.0.8 just came out a few days ago for my region, but I won't upgrade it at least until MIUI 14 comes out.
Installing custom rom does fix it. I tried Pixel Experience once and never got the bug, but I didn't quite like the overall appereance so I decided to just downgrade it again to MIUI 12.5.5.
Yes. I have had this EXACT same issue, too. factory reset did not resolve. Redmi Note 9 Phone is all but useless now. Can use for a few minutes at a time, before it freezes. Miui 14 should be around the corner now, but I'm not hopeful.

MIUI 14 also does not resolve the issue for me, so downgrading is the only solution (not even MIUI 13 and 14 based custom rom fix it). But some people from RN10pro forum got it fixed after a few updates. Here are some suggestion I got from there:
1. Check if your SD card is dead, simply replace it or take it out.
2. Change your system to light mode.
3. Disable the memory extension.
Some people got it fixed after doing one of the above suggestions but not for me.
