Simulate unplug usb - Tasker Tips & Tricks

Hi there. I need to simulate unplugging the cell phone's usb cable for a few seconds, so that the car's central unit detects it a few seconds later, than to another device that connects via bluetooth.
Today way to do it with tasker? (the cell phone is ROOT)
Thanks

USB connection & disconnection via phone possible?

When the phone is connected by using the usb cable if I need anything thing on phone I need to press home key which disconnects it from the computer (may be some logical reason) then is there a way to reconnect it back to the computer via pressing some key of any app to do it.
As of now I have to physically unplug then replug the usb cable, in my old motorola this has never been a case it never disconnects the phone if i use the phone I can do all calling & receiving & still remain connected to usb.
Any solution with samsung GT-I9003 new phone?

[Q] phone freezes when I disconnect an UTG device

Hello, I'm having an issue with my phone... it freezes and I have to remove the battery to make it reboot whenever I disconnect a USB mouse or keyboard. Moreover I'm unable to use a usb hub (which I know is possible with this phone) that would allow me to connect both together, I was planning to use them simultaneously to take notes but it's unreliable with the phone freezing, and when i use the hub the mouse powers on for2 secs, the led turns on but then turns off and the pointer doesn't appear at all, same with the keyboard (when connected into the hub) by the way my usb hub is exactly this one [well I did try to post a youtube video showing it working, unfortunatelly this is my first post= no right] , but I tried two other hubs with no result , I'm using the original Samsung host cable
kernel: Siyah 2.6.9
tried it with roms: stock, checkrom v 6, latest baptista foxhound
I used both cable and wireless mouse/keayboard (with receiver plugged into usb host, not bluetooth) but I could never get more than one device working and once i disconnect it the phone freezes.
I would be grateful for any advice.

Head unit doesn't fire up AA on phone - how to fix with intents?

I have a Hyundai Santa Fe Active with DM-01 head unit.
I leave the phone physically connected all the time but AA is not launched when the car starts up.
Even if I boot the phone (still connected physically) after the car has started, AA will not start.
I have to physically disconnect and reconnect the USB cable for AA to launch and the head unit to switch to AA mode.
Can anyone suggest some possible 'intents' I can try in AutomateIt or Flow to try and trigger the same result without having to physically re-attach the cable?

Wake/Sleep on usb input (not power)?

Hi. I'm installing a Nougat based Archos Core 70 tablet, with a DAB radio usb dongle in my car, but I'm having trouble sorting out the power scheme.
I can't get it to boot on car ignition due to problems editing fastboot in Mediatek phones/tablets like the Archos. So I've removed the battery and replaced it with 4.2v direct from the car battery, intending to have it sleep/wake on ignition through usb power.
However my otg usb hub wont register a usb power input while being able to run the DAB dongle. I don't need the input to charge, only to signal Tasker to sleep/wake the tablet.
Can Tasker take any other signals from usb apart from power? e.g. when some device is plugged in, or even a usb switch that outputs data instead of power. If needed I can add a relay to a usb input that closes on car ignition so it's as if I was physically plugging/unplugging a device.
Thanks.

Make AndroidAuto WIRELESS using 'USB over the Air'!

Hello, I have an idea how we can make the current Android Auto completely WIRELESS.
Idea is as follows:
Plug a micro Dongle in the car's USB port.
The Dongle will essentially be a WiFi Tranciever. (it may need custom code/firmware etc.)
The Dongle will talk to the Android Phone over WiFi (Because Bluetooth is already being used by Android Auto).
A custom program will be running on the Android phone to send ALL USB Data to the Dongle using WiFi.
Suggested Dongle models:
Xbee, Arduino with WiFi module, any other similar board, possibly any cheap Chinese WiFi USB dongle available on Ebay/Aliexpress.
Things to consider:
The Car's infotainment must recognize the Dongle when it is plugged in as a "USB device" (not a USB Stick/Flash Drive !!!)
The Dongle may need custom code/firmware that will start sending packets to the car's infotainment as soon as it is connected/powered up/car ignition is on, in order to Emulate a phone running android auto.
In the mean time, the app running on the phone will already be connected to the Dongle and the two will be talking to each other.
I you have any other suggestions, leave a comment bellow.
PS: Such devices (USB Over the Air) are actually available on the market, but are quite bulky. We need something smaller.
But even if it is big, we can use a Micro USB plug like this one with flat cable, that will run in the Phone tray, where the board will be hidden so it will not be visible at all!!! :good::laugh:

Just cut the other end of the flat cable if needed and solder as necessary.
Again, if you have specific ideas/suggestions leave a comment bellow.
