Zenfone ZE554KL Bricked EDL MODE - Flash not sucess - Asus Zenfone 4

I have an Asus ZE554KL with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, the processor is a Snapdragon 630. I tried to root it but ended up looping the screen with the Asus logo. Recovery mode was no longer accessible, it was only possible to enter bootloader mode, it was in "csc bootloader". I downloaded the raw ROM and opened the file "ze554kl_auto_flash_raw.bat" which recognized the device with fastboot and ended the procedure with error: "erase not allowed in lock state" and the device continued loot the same way and just entering csc bootloader mode. So, I decided to open it and put it in EDL mode, closing the circuit on the pins.
Now I've been trying to recover it in EDL mode for a few days but unfortunately it's going wrong using QFIL. I downloaded the correct ROM from it for EDL mode "Asus_Zenfone_4_ZE554KL_630_14.0701.1702.36-20170919_QFIL.rar", already installed QDLOADER drivers with Windows driver checking disabled, I'm using genuine USB cable but still showing errors:
"TARGET SAID: ERROR SDCC ERROR 29 (3)".
"ERROR: Failed to write 1 slot 0, partition 40, start_sector 2048 num_sectors 0, error 3".
"ERROR: Failed to write 1 slot 0, partition 40, start_sector 2048 num_sectors 0, error 3".
I no longer know what to do to fix this. I've also tried using other versions of QPST and QFIL, including just separate QFIL. I can't get out of EDL mode either, I've used several programs including some using python scripts, but without success.

Question Fastboot stuck on "waiting for device". Whatever OS I use.

Hi there,
I have just purchased a Zenfone 8, the bootloader is unlocked (I have the ugly message saying that the phone can"'t be trusted because bootloader is unlocked bla bla bla at startup).
However, while adb works, I can't get fastboot to recognize my device.
I tried on W10 and 11, also on Linux Mint.
Other phones are recognized properly by fastboot, but not the zenfone 8. And of course, fastbootd doesn't work.
Anyone faced this issue?
Thanks,
Anghi

I can get into fastboot mode. Using combo key or even "adb reboot bootloader". But on this screen, then fastboot does not recognize the device
And I have tried both bootloader (in principle fastboot) and fastbootd (the one within the recovery) screens. Fastboot commands don't work under both screens.
I think to get fastboot working I had to install the Asus specific driver on my pc
Ok thanks. Let me try.
Okay, solved by trying several USB C wires.
Thanks for the advices and help!

Where did you get your phone from? Did you unlock bootloader? What happens when you try to perform a factory reset?

Best I can suggest is using the Android Flash Tool to completely restore your device. Check the "Wipe device" and "Force flash all partitions" boxes. This will only work if your bootloader is unlocked.
I didn't know this existed, Neat!! Makes me wanna pick up a google phone now XD

Forced software update bricked the phone, need help with Odin3

My wife's S8 forced an Android update, but before completing successfully, it went into a boot loop. I tried wiping the cache and factory resetting the device, but neither worked. It is still in a boot loop. I'm not able to boot in safe mode.
I installed the Samsung Android USB Driver for Windows v.1.7.50, installed Odin3 v3.14.4, and downloaded the firmware for the phone. I connected the phone to the computer using a Samsung branded USB cable, entered Download mode, and Odin3 recognized the phone. I loaded the BL + AP + CP + CSC and clicked Start. So far it has failed every time. It either says FAIL! (DeviceInfo) or FAIL! (Auth). I tried various firmwares for the phone, as well as Prince's Odin v.3.12, but get the same result.
Only the standard check boxes were checked (Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time).
Is there anything that can be done to salvage the phone? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update: After much tinkering, I was able to successfully write just the bootloader onto the phone. Then afterwards, I tried writing the BL + AP + CP + CSC. It made it half way (to system.img.ext4 __XmitData_Write) and then failed. Then the download mode screen said I needed to use the Emergency recovery function of the Smart Switch PC software. I was then able to rewrite just the bootloader software again, but I still can't figure out why the write operation failed when I tried writing everything. Any ideas?

You will be in CSC FB mode only, as long as your bootloader is locked. Unlocking your bootloader again will bring you back in the right Fastboot mode. EDL mode should work however, don't know why you have trouble with it...

Question fastboot reboots to fastboot every 5s

So I wanted to do a fresh install after experiencing some issues. But doing a factory reset in recovery mode didn't completely fix my issues because play store stated that my device wasn't certified. The state of my phone at that time was; unlocked bootloader, no root and developer options disabled. If having the bootloader unlocked makes the device not certified then thats news to me.
But I thought whatever, Ill root the phone. Using the boot extracted from payload.bin from the full ota with the same version and patched that in magisk. Booted using the patched image without flashing and patched the stock boot from magisk.
That resulted in a bootloop, flashing the stock boot didn't resolve the issue. Tried both slots. I then tried to flash the full firmware in fastboot/fastbootd and that resulted in fastbootd being not bootable anymore for the current slot. I then tried in the other slot to flash the firmware by resizing all logical partitions and that ofcourse resulted in that fastbootd is no longer accesible in any slot, recovery is unaccesible and fastboot restarts every 5s back to fastboot. As some sort of last measure I locked the bootloader again which didnt help and now I cant flash anything.
So now to the real issue. I know that EDL is my only solution now and I have gathered all the tools and firmware needed. I can boot it into EDL with some driver errors

The problem is that even in edl mode the phone reboots after 5s to fastboot.
