[Updated][ETH1]
If you only want the firmware and know what you're doing, then links will be at bottom.
If possible, Use the original charging cable that came with your phone, as sometimes there can be errors if you use an aftermarket cable.
If you don't know how to flash or convert from U to U1, read on.
As a precaution, I recommend removing your SIM card and SD card before flashing!
THIS WILL RESET YOUR PHONE!
Firstly, Download the modified Odin below as well as the firmware.
Step 1. Ensure that you have the Samsung drivers for mobile devices installed (which will also be linked below.)
Step 2.Extract the Firmware Zip that you downloaded, Open the modified Odin and click on the BL box, Then select the corresponding BL file.
Click the AP box and select the AP file, Do the same with the CP and CSC files by putting the matching file name into the corresponding boxes.
Step 3.Ensure USB Debugging is enabled and then shut down the phone. Then hold (In this order) Volume Down, Bixby, and Power button until you get to the Download mode warning screen.
Press the Volume Up button.
Step 4. Plug in the phone, and check Odin to ensure you see a blue box that says COM (also has a number at the end)
Step 5.Press Start in Odin and wait till you see pass, if it says PASS, The flash was successful and within about 10 minutes your phone will boot into the welcome screen.
If you are converting from the U firmware to the U1 firmware then you will have no carrier bloatware should have better performance and possibly better battery life as well.

Firstly I was on "U1..ARL1" then passed to "U CSAA" ( different than U1) and now I'm running latest N960USQS1CSD1 but my phone is bit laggy and still got the lags/stutters from lock screen when I slide quick menu and animations....Now I want to try itself U1 firmware and I hope all laggy and stutter will gone!
Do I need to roll back to ARL1 then flash CSD1 or I can do that directly?

Thanks it worked for me

Flashed without problem but still got the lag when change the wallpaper :crying: If its infinity wallpaper there is no lag, but if I change the laggs/stutter starts.....What I supposed to do? Anyone? Also there is a lag on animations....
I flashed too many times and different firmwares and no luck...

Yet you only provided the ROM file. Where does the ROM file go and are there other files to flash that go in the CSC, CP BL and AP boxes?

Did you extract the zip? All of the files should be inside the zip.
I'll redownload them to check and make sure.

Call recording is only available on certain international firmware. It's a CSC feature that isn't available on the U.S. firmware. If you have root you can add the call recording feature to your CSC and that will be the only way to get call recording unless you find the specific international firmware that has it enabled but that firmware may not be best suited for your carrier/region. Also, enabling call recording will replace the call waiting & "add call" button which will make 3-way calls and ability to answer call waiting a problem. For this reason I always chose to not enable call recording. However, with root you can change csc anytime you need call recording and revert when you no longer need it. If I remember correctly, you also have to do a factory reset when adding the call recording in CSC because the csc/settings database is created on first boot only and adding this line in CSC after the phone has already booted and created it's CSC database will not enable call recording. It must be done on a fresh boot after a wipe/restore. I wanted to give you a heads up based on my experience so you know what to expect. Root is going to be mandatory unless you find the international firmware (rare) that has call recording enabled from Samsung.

As far as i know u can flash any firmware related to N960U, N960U1 and even N960W.
for specific carriers after flash u will have their bloatwares .

Will a N960U converted this way take OTA updates in the same way that a phone that started out as a N960U1 would?

Is there a way I can make this work on a Linux based OS?

Hi all!
I need to record calls due to professional reasons and I don't manage to acheive it.
My phone has it's original european rom and I don't want to root it.
Does any one knows any app that could allow me to record calls?
In my previous phone I used Total Recall that worked fine, but I dont managed to make it work with the A51.
Any help is appreciated.

It´s available in the play store and the free version should do all the things you need. For more specifications you can use the paid version.
As i read in the commends you should play a bit around with the microfon settings because of the volume of the incomming voice.

to get a record of calls from the line (high quality). you need to change the firmware region. There are three regions in which call recording and Samsung Pay work simultaneously. India, Thailand, Vietnam. If you need the Samsung Pay to work, you need to configure it before manipulating (I recommend that before these actions, configure everything that you use, for example, payment, biometrics, etc.). After setting up Samsung Pay & etc. (if you need it of course), download any of the firmware (India, Thailand, Vietnam), take only one file from the firmware - "HOME_CSC ....." Next, we need a computer with the Samsung driver installed and the program ODIN. run ODIN on the computer with administrator rights. connect the phone. insert the HOME_CSC file ... in the program one into the CSC window and flash it. !!!important. I also advise you to backup, just in case. but nothing should be lost. maybe after the firmware several regional applications will appear - disconnect or delete. P.S.!!! You do not need to unlock anything. no need to put a tick anywhere and unlock the bootloader! You just need to turn off the phone, then enter boot mode and flash this file. all!
P.P.S. Your firmware should have an identical version of the bootloader. bootloader versions must match. an example is A515FXXU3ATC3 - the bootloader version is the fifth digit from the end, i.e. here in the example, the third bootloader. you can have any, you need the same firmware - download the appropriate one. If in the future you want to receive updates over the air, do the procedure in the opposite direction - flash the file back from your own firmware, update. then you can again flash a new file from India, Thailand or Vietnam. you can also flash the entire firmware of these countries, but there will be no updates by air until you return to your firmware and most importantly you will have to configure the phone. when flashing a single file, configuration is not required.
P.P.P.S. from programs that record from the microphone, the best recording is obtained from the Cube ACR program (you need to add an increase in clarity in the settings) the bad thing is that the recording quality is still worse and this is an extra application that has its own permissions.

Until recently, it was believed that in order to receive updates by air, you need to repeat the operation in the reverse order, that is, flash your own HOME_CSC .. get updates .. and then flash HOME_CSC India, Thailand, Vietnam again. Now I get messages that updates are arriving to someone in this state, since most firmwares are inter-regional and differ only in the presence of local applications. I conclude - that everything happens on an individual basis, perhaps an update will arrive and the recording of calls will also remain in place or maybe not. but if the update doesn’t arrive for a very long time, we know what to do. we can download the firmware ourselves and update it all through odin. and then install HOME_CSC India, Thailand, Vietnam again. or we can install the full firmware of India, Thailand, Vietnam and download the updates each time independently. To save your data, make a backup or just flash HOME_CSC. never encountered this. I will try to find the answer on the net. I can advise on my own - for any glitches and incomprehensible situations - try reset the application. settings - applications - show system apk - choose the apk you need - cache reset + data reset.
p.s. I recommend that before these actions, configure everything that you use, for example, payment, biometrics, etc.

You need to use servicefile.xml to flash and keep data. Flashfile.xml is for full wipe only, even if you edit the XML to remove the erase data command.
New firmware for pstar is available via LMSA, Q3-19-80 with November security patch.

for the utility to work correctly, the path to the flashfile.xml file must not contain spaces

Hi guys, how are you? I bought an Edge 20 Pro on Aliexpress and it came with the Global ROM. It is in version RRA31.Q3-19-19 and working normally. The problem is that as the device came with the bootloader unlocked, it does not receive OTA updates from Android. I downloaded the RAS31.Q3-19-86-4 version from the internet (theoretically the latest version of Android 11) and I intend to update using Motoflash Pro from this post. Is the process supported? Will it run smoothly? Is there a risk of crashing the cell phone or something like that?

I understood. And if I download the wrong firmware, does the tool perform a validation beforehand and prevent the update from being carried out or will the procedure be executed ignoring the firmware?

How to Update:
If you don't get OTA updates simply follow these steps. You need a PC with working global ADB and fastboot.
01. Download the latest Firmware from lolinet
02. Extract it, open servicefile.xml and copy the contents into this website
03. Reboot your phone into fastboot (adb reboot fastboot or press and hold Power + Volume Down)
04. Open a CMD window in the extracted folder, paste the commands from the website and hit enter
05. Don't disconnect the phone until the update has finished.
It might be possible to upgrade by putting the firmware zip into the root of your phone, booting into recovery and selecting install firmware from zip. I didnt test this yet.

According to my seller the phone has the following bands:
B1, B3, B7, B8, B20, B32, N1, N3, N28, N78
No support for:
B28, B38
No issues here in germany, dont have 5g (not in my plan) but I get good Band 20 reception.

No, dont ever relock the bootloader. If you skip through the official Motorola forums you will find a lot of people with bricked devices EVEN AFTER flashing their original firmware via the rescue assistant.
I would not under any circumstance relock the bootloader - it is really a dangerous game even if you have not modified anything.

Yes. At least it shows RETEU in settings and you get an OTA if you flash 16-16-22. We will see about future updates.

Amazing! On any Motorola device before it was impossible to change the Chinese software update channel to RETAIL, RETEU and the like.
It may be because your device has the RETCN channel. But this is unlikely. I've never seen that before, and I've been doing Moto firmware for 10 years. Not professionally of course, but still I have some idea.

Working Android auto, contact sync and assisstant out of the box. A slightly different UI and less bloat but that's basically it. Oh and of course more language options.
@diewellen : you just have to repeat the guide with a Chinese ROM. Search for xt2241-1 firmware on Google. If you can't find it I'll upload my copy later.

One more question. My software version is 16-16-15. Is there an updated version for the CN firmware? Will ota work? Or I have to update manually?

Thanks for a great guide! I have just succeeded in converting my CN to EU/Global. But now I can't use Google Pay, because "the phone has been rooted or tampered with". Is it because of the unlocked bootlocker? The Global rom from the thread is not rooted? What to do?

Question Oppo Find X3 Pro stuck on ColorOS 11.2

Hello there🖐️I own an Oppo Find X3 Pro (model CPH2173), the phone was purchased from Italy in summer of 2021.Since November/December 2021 I haven't received any security update. I tried all kinds of methods, VPNs, factory reset, but nothing worked.
Currently the phone has Android 11 based on ColorOS 11.2. Btw I live in Romania (Est Europe), I use the phone with a romanian SIM card.
Any idea what I should do to get software updates?
I can install an update manually if anyone got a download link.
P.S.: I saw someone from Maroc with the exact same problem as mine, but I think that post was deleted.

Contact assistance and probably they will unlock update for your phone like I saw for others.

Sadly, for me the Oppo assistance said that this OTA issue is related to my carrier and my carrier said that their customer service is only open for SIM card or line issues. So I'm following each post in this thread too.
I'm in France with a french refurbished phone and RED SFR operator.

A crazy situation

Wasn't there a thread here, where someone got a tool by Oppo support which downloads and installs the latest version ....

Yeah I tried that oficial Oppo app, but it didn't work.

Make sure all Apps are.up to date
Check for Google-Play-System Update as.well!
-> Password and Security
1. Disable WLAN
2. App-Managemt:
-> Show system files (3 dots)
-> search for update.
-> Delete data in the 3 showd files
3. Reboot
4. Wait 5 min till the phone is fully loaded.
Check WLAN is still disabled
5. Check for Update without VPN
6. If without succeed use VPN France and check for Updates
7. Still without success contact Oppo

Yes, it's that app. I already did what u said there and I got nothing.

I solved the same problem by taking it to the Oppo service center, the phone was updated and returned within hours

I'll try to do that
