Just try again.
If your bootloader is locked, you can sideload the OTA.
If your bootloader is unlocked, you can dirty flash the factory image.
If you're rooted, do not update via OTA; instead follow this guide.

I'm getting the error device already locked even though my bootloader clearly states that the bootloader is in unlocked. I just flashed the factory image for the phone and still same error. Any ideas?

How can update with out using odin ?
Find the OTA file u want and update using stock recovery.
I have bought a P40P+ (global version) and found that my device dont have OTA updates. It stuck at 10.1.0.137 EMUI version. Please help.

I am trying to flash the latest firmware on my rooted device after patching the AP file with Magisk, but Odin keeps getting stuck at this stage.

Flash Stock rom again, then install custom rom again and you should probably not see this error.
