Hello,
I bought a new PIXEL 4XL on the net and I have 2 questions:
- On the box there is an ESIM code so it is not a verizon. but my OEM is grayed out
- there is a service that runs: "MY VERIZON SERVICE"
Hello,
solved, it's a Virezon, and as I updated it with the November version of android 12, I can't unlock it with depixel8

hey!
I have a AT&T locked Pixel 4 XL as well, but I created a thread and we are worrking to unlock the bootloader.
I already manage to unlock the phone in the way you can use any sim with it , but the bootlaoder is still locked.
Here is the link of the thread if you are interested
Right know we found a way to flash an unlocked verion of the firmware, but we need to test it.
There is one guy that is actually working on it, as it has a bricked pixel 4 XL, but he didn't manage to succed yet, and I am currently helping him to troubleshoot.
So, as every help is precious, it would appreciated if you help us to win google's bootloader lock

Hello ladies and gentlemen.
I am looking to buy the N950FD singapore version of Note 8. Can anyone tell me if all devices of this variant is bootloader unlockable? I did see the twrp for FD and I also did several researches, some say there is no OEM unlock option for this model until 7 days later it will show after activation? There is a method to skip that and retrieve OEM unlock option straight away.
I just want to confirm this, not willing to buy the Snapdragon version because of lacking custom rom support and ability to unlock bootloader...
Thank you for your time.

I don't have the Singapore version, but I do have the N950FD from Dubai which is bootloader unlocked. To my knowledge all other Exynos variants of the Note 8 are also bootloader unlocked. Yes there is a 7 day wait period to toggle OEM Unlock on some Exynos phones, but there is also a workaround for that posted as a sticky. Hope this helps.

No problem. You can read through the oem unlock thread too for more info on the 7 day timer... I think there were specific posts about the singapore model, but probably from before the workaround and fix were discovered.
has there been any workaround for unlocking the boorloader. i remember with the htc one xl in early development we hex edited the user id to all 1111111 witch gave us super user. i am not a developer. just a long time lover of android.
also magisk has a patch boot method. i take it we need the bootloader first?
any help is appreciated.
has anyone set up a bounty for work on the at&t us phones

Nope. The Bootloader can not and never will be unlocked. If you have to have an unlocked bootloader then I suggest through N960F Exynos version.

Not on the US models
Unlocked bootloaders for a AT&T device has been unachievable since the S4 days. I'm assuming the security key to unlock it, is on a USB, hanging around the CEO neck.

So I just received a brand new S10 from Sprint. I am trying to enable OEM Unlock so that I can root the device. However, the option does not appear under Developer Options. I have tried to clock reset about 20 different times with no luck. Does anyone know of any other way to get OEM Unlock to show up?
I am currently running Android 9 on the version of G973USQS2BSIA/G973UOYN2BSIA/G973USQS2BSIA and Security Patch Level of September 1, 2019.
Thanks in advance!

This has been know to just about everyone for the last 3 or 4 years. It has been posted here and everywhere else a zillion times so it should come as no surprise.
Actually, you can make the OEM unlock toggle appear, but as far as I know it doesn't really DO ANYTHING at all.....
Just flash the Combo file and check in Dev Settings again, it should be there, and you can tick it on and off....
But like I said, It DOES NOT REALLY "UNLOCK" the bootloader... I guess it's Samsung's way of torturing us. Or making fun of us...

Anyone know if the T-Mobile version can by chance be bootloader unlocked in this? I only ask because on my OP7 Pro developer preview 3 T-Mobile forgot to keep the bootloader locked out so I was able to unlock and root then go back to Android 10 while keeping it unlocked and rooted

Their article states it is not compatible with tmo/vzw but I also wouldn't be surprised if it would work. Waiting to hear feedback by a brave member that tries.
i was looking at this guide on how to do it on the pixel 6 and was wondering how to do it on the 7. what about the factory images from google? can i flash this image instead?
after some trial and error using the factory images that google provides, its a bit difficult for me personally with the amount of free time that i have to intensively research this project. so i gained root, enabled volte wifi calling and 5g using this great guide and enabled the camera sounds toggle using this module so i can silence the annoying fake shutter sound. so far so good. i think that there are more things to do like passing the saftynet thing and maybe tinkering in the buildprop.

Hi, some step right here and I know one guy who change the SKU number only.
Converting Japanese Pixel 6 to Global version
I live in a country with no Pixel availability and end up purchasing one in Japan. Limitations(mostly forced shutter and screenshot sound) on Japan phones can be pretty annoying, so I researched a bit on how to remove those. Search leads me to...

I've managed to convert my JP pixel 7 into global version thanks to that post above by following the instructions from HarryShan.

ok thanks. im using windows11.
UPDATE: I Successfully changed the help of @HarryShan instructions and using the app of hex editor in Playstore.
Big thank you for sharing this and to @HarryShan for the simple instructions.
I wanted to contribute in a tiny way since I didn't see it in this thread.
The JP SKU for Pixel 7 is G03Z5
For the other 2 SKU numbers
GQML3
GVU6C
I used the first one since it is listed to have support for both 5G networks. Source: https://www.xda-developers.com/google-pixel-7-5g-support/

I think the GQML3 version is only for Verizon units, which is considered locked. I'm not sure if that will affect your connectivity in any way if you're not on Verizon. The GVU6C is the unlocked version which is meant for global use on any carriers.
Thank you @wlteh for the info. I haven't actually inserted my SIM yet to test so I will change to the GVU6C version beforehand.
Also if anyone plans on unrooting the phone, don't forget to flash the stock image first. I got a "No operating system could be found" message after I bootlocked my phone. Luckliy "volume down + power button" combo got me back into fastboot so I could unlock the bootloader again.
Hi Guys
I've managed to convert my JP pixel 7 into global version but the thing is most of voice calls are working only 3g mode when i switch it to 4G or 5G voice calls are not works for me. When someone trying to call to my phone its says my mobile phone is swithed off. any idea to fix this?
