Question Does disabling individual apps in MIUI Dark mode ever work? - Redmi Note 10 Pro

Hello. I saw this problem with my previous MI 9T and now also with the Redmi Note 10 Pro. I prefer Dark mode on all the time, but I have an issue with the Google Sheets app reversing the shades of cell colors and of black text but leaving white text white. This makes some content unreadable, so I want to only have Sheets stay in light mode.
But, using "View in light theme" within Sheets reverts cell shades back yet keeps the text white, so it's even worse. So I tried unchecking Sheets from the More Dark mode options->Individual apps list of the MIUI Dark Mode, but it's not stopping the Dark Mode from being applied. That option actually doesn't change anything for any app I tried it with.
Any solution?

Screen showing green tint...

I just did a factory reset on my note 9, and now in certain apps such as Facebook, some things through the chrome browser, and in pictures on Flipboard, when I touch the screen the screen will turn green. It is not an opaque green but a very heavy green tint.
Any suggestions?
screenshot or photo please...
Sorry...I intended to do that, in fact made one. But I reloaded the phone, lost the video...but it is working ok now.

Dark Mode?

Let's discuss about dark mode. For me both light and dark has its pro's and cons. Let's hear yours.

Found out that the dark mode really just "inverts" colors...for example: All my facebook notifications, the profile picture for the person that made the notification shows like the colors have been inverted. Pretty lazy way to implement dark mode imo...not sure if it's on FB to fix it or Google/OnePlus lol. Looks very tacky though.
Seems to me as though if an app doesn't have a dark mode to switch to the statusbar icons go black on the dark background making them impossible to see when dev settings force dark mode is on. Maybe there's a setting I'm missing. Kinda like it either way, though, so dealing with the minor inconvenience.

Yes, i can confirm the same behavior.
Also if anyone is using 3rd party launcher like Lawnchair then the google search widget on the launcher shows white/light text. Mind you this is not the standard google search widget rather it is part of the dock.
There are other few issues with dark mode as well, will post it when i remember.
The fact that I can change at will is good enough for me. I typically change to dark for a few days until I get tired. Often when outside in bright daylight dark doesn't work well for my taste. I spend about 25% on dark.
For me the play store has gone black today. Looks nice.
I can not live with the force dark mode flag.
Comments in facebook are white with light grey text "not readable"
The Google apps that have native dark mode look fine to me, inside or outside.
Still waiting for the server side release of Dark mode for Gmail, it will look great.

Yes..I feel the same. Poor implementation of dark mode. Just inverting colors make some things look weird, glitchy and somethings unreadable. I have returned back to light mode.
Dark mode is not working correctly because app developers have yet to implement it properly. The OnePlus setting is not a true dark mode. I believe iOS 11 had a similar feature that was never fully implemented by app developers until iOS 13. Android 10 is playing catch-up in this area.
The Google apps, however, are being rolled out properly. I have proper dark mode on all of those with the exception of Gmail and Google Assistant. This could take some time to fully implement.

MIUI Dark mode

Hi.
When will Xiaomi fix Dark mode for Mi 9? I am on latest V12.0.3.0.QFAEUXM and dark mode is still not fixed! They are not fixing bugs anymore with recent updates.
Its annoying because in dark mode almost every app displays colours weird. Its half in dark mode.
In most apps status bar icon, text stays black and is hard to read.
Its really annoying and cant use dark mode because of this.
In every aosp ROM its ok and dont know what is reason that its not working in MIUI.

Question Defekt screen?

So I bought my S21 Ultra last Friday. I lie with my mobile in bed late at night with brightness at its lowest with "dark mode". Notice that when I have dark gray backgrounds and open the keyboard, horizontal lines appear (thin light lines). They disappear as soon as I close the keyboard.
Someone who can test if you see the same thing?
So If I sent it back to samsung I can say that i have asked owners and they dont have that problem.
1 set brightness at minimum
2 darkmode on
3 120hz on
4 high contrast on keyboard
5 total black rooms
6 open play store and press search so keyboard appears
7 now I see thin lines (which disappears completely when I close the keyboard)
It looks like this
If it is application dependent (appears only when the keyboard is active), it might be a software alrifact.
Also, please bear in mind that OLED displays, when set to minimum brightness, might have a problem with displaying uniform colors. You might see clusters of tens of pixels that are just a tad bit brighter than the ones around. I've noticed this with every OLED display I have used in the last decade or so.

Ok thank you.
Yes it's only showing when i use the keyboard.
My old note 10 plus did not have this problem.
Different screen, different version of Android and Oneui, maybe even different keyboard, keyboard version or theme.
check app named Display Tester https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gombosdev.displaytester&hl=en

What model, carrier and software build do you have?
Software build: (settings > about phone > software information - last 4 digits of SW build number)
Is this happening in all the apps? or just the email as shown in the picture?
try it on safe mode and see if it still happens. maybe you are using a third party keyboard?

SM-G998B
G998BXXU3AUHB (same problem with older firmware)
It happend in dark grey and some light color, swifty keyboard and stock samsung keyboard, showing must if i use high contrast in stock samsung keyboard.
Here is one more:
Display issue at 120hz and low brightness
My note 20 ultra has vague gray horizontal lines when displaying a gray background at the lowest brightness when running at 120Hz but it disappears at when the brightness increases or when switching to 60hz. Is this normal for AMOLED displays ?

Question Dark mode NOT working properly

A week or 2 ago I started using my Zenfone 8. I noticed Darkmode is very unreliable at best. I use Dark Mode forcing for apps, I have Developer mode turned on. Apps that had perfect dark mode on my Mi 9T are not showing dark mode now.
The dark mode is often not perfect with certain design elements staying light and often the Dark mode on certain apps just revert to light mode.
Problematic apps:
Linkedin
MS Authenticator
KEF Control
TechnoGym
Others as well
ZenUI Build: WW_30.12.112.62
Anybody run into the same and found a solution?
