A bluetooth car connection feed-back problem, can anyone offer any help, please?
Bluetooth does work, in both directions, however my own voice feedbacks extremely loudly through the speakers, and the voice of the second party comes through only very quietly. This renders conversation almost impossible.
I'm connecting to a 2011 Volvo. For the past year it's been connecting flawlessly with my Dell Streak without any issues at all. But for some reason I'm having these problems now that I've moved over to the Note.
Problem solved (well, sort of!). For anyone else experiencing the same issue; it turns out that "Total Recall" call recorder was the culprit, causing the problem. With Total Recall deactivated bluetooth works fine. So ... now to find out why that should be so...
My Moto X keeps forgetting my paired bluetooth headset without me prompting it to do so. It's not a huge inconvenience as re-pairing them doesn't take an inordinate amount of time, but it's annoying that it's an intermittent issue. I have a refurbished Jawbone Icon HD. It never has any other issues, and the only reason I suspect the phone is the issue (and not the refurbished headset, as I originally thought) is because the headset is no longer listed under "paired devices" when this issue occurs.
Any ideas? Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

Since upgrading to 4.4, my phone will not reconnect to bluetooth devices. For example, when I get in the car I have to unpair and then re-pair my moto x to my car. I've read that you can reset bluetooth without doing a factory reset, but the instructions didn't work for me.
I apologize if this has been asked and answered already, but doing a quick search of this forum, I didn't find my answer.
I am considering picking up a Moto X because it's frankly an awesome phone (I really like the touchless controls and other pizzazz that Moto added to it, but when it first came out it was too pricey for me).
My question is: is the Moto X plagued with the same bluetooth issues that the Nexus 4 and 5 are on Kit Kat? Specifically I want to know if the 5-second delay, on both calls and stereo audio, is also an issue on the X, and whether the bluetooth process has a tendency to crash on the X when connected either to car audio or bluetooth headset?
If any current X owners on a stock rom could weigh in, I would really appreciate it!
If you'll describe what the five second delay problem is I'll tell you if I ever experienced it. I have never seen my Bluetooth process crash. I have to repair with my car sometimes but not with my headsets so I assume that's my car's fault.
Yes... Bluetooth has a number of issues in Android 4.4 and 4.4.2. Surprising that a search didn't return a number of topics regarding it.
I have issues with crackling/stuttering on bluetooth. If I am driving and using bluetooth, resting my hand on my pants over my phone can even cause it to stutter for a few seconds. Using apps while listening to bluetooth is also not generally a good idea.
I happen to be the type of user that this doesn't impact, but I could see it being a major issue for plenty of users that I know. It may also have something to do with the music player I am using (shuttle), as I haven't tested it out with other players.
I have an att moto x and upgraded to 4.4 as soon as it came.. Trust me on 4.4 there are a hell lot of issues with bluetooth. My headset gets disconnected and reconnects too often.. while talking on phone it is such a pain. I never experienced the same issues on 4.2.2. So i downgraded back again to jelly bean and now its fine again. If you want to use kitkat stay away from this phone from my experience. Baterry life is also ruined with this update. May be they fixed these issues on 4.4.2, i dont know, i didnt dare to update as we cannot downgrade from 4.4.2
I'm another user who has stopped using my moto-x bluetooth with my car because of constant connecting/disconnecting and "picket fencing" of sound....I'm on 4.4.2 and I think it's even worse than 4.4....I'm a bleeding edger though, so I refuse to go back to 4.2. Hopefully 4.4.3 will fix the bluetooth issues if it ever gets here. Otherwise I love the phone.

According to the log, 4.4.3 will indeed address the BT issues that some users in 4.4.2 are experiencing as well as several other bugs.
I'm on 4.4.2 stock and the bluetooth connection to my car for audio streaming is ok. It still stutters randomly, especially if I have other apps running like navigation. Didn't have any problems with disconnects. I was also on CM11 nightly builds but the stutter was really bad and more frequent so I went back to stock Kitkat.
I'm on stock KitKat 4.4 with my second Moto X ( first on AT&T, now on Verizon) and haven't had the afore-mentioned issues. I connect to a Sony MEX-BT in my car and a pair of RF-MAB2 headphones at work; both work great.
I too was worried after seeing all the posts about the Nexus but I think you should be fine with the Moto.
Thanks all for the replies. I know that there are indeed bluetooth issues with Kit Kat, but my research into my Nexus 4 issues seemed to point to issues with the drivers for the bluetooth chipset in the Nexus 4. It's interesting to me that some people have issues on the X, while others don't (perhaps different chipset revisions?).
With regards to my 5-second delay, the amount of time between when something happens on my phone (i.e. skip track, or button press on the dialer) and when I hear the result on a connected bluetooth device can be up to 5 seconds. My concern is mostly for phone calls, being behind on the "real time" conversation, but perhaps this is one of the many issues they plan to fix with 4.4.3.
I guess for now I'll wait until 4.4.3 to see if bluetooth gets any better for me on the Nexus. It's crazy to me that Google has let this go unpatched for so long. Here's hoping 4.4.3 starts rolling out in the next few weeks.
I have received my T-Mobile Note 4, and I have the infuriating problem of random Bluetooth streaming skips / stutters. Does anyone else have this issue? I know it was a known problem on the S5's, and it never really got fixed...
Does anyone have any solutions for this? I checked out the ViPER EQ mod, could that help?
Currently I am 100% stock (latest version, got the T-Mobile patch right away), and I only use Spotify for music. I have experienced stutter in my Nissan, a pair of Sennheisers, and a Monoprice Bluetooth adapter. What's also upsetting is that the stock Samsung music player often starts playing when a Bluetooth streaming device is connected...
Any advice?

I am having the same issue. I really don't know if this is an issue or not. I drive charger and my M8 was the same. It's annoying I feel ya. hopefully someone can tell us how to control this thing.
i've had that issue since HTC One...
not sure if i ever saw a way to fix this issue.

It's funny because I'm coming from the M8 and it was flawless for me. That is was running 4.4.2, whereas this is 4.4.4... Any correlation?

I really don't know if this an issue. My M8 4.4.3 and had same thing. But to be fair Note 4 is more superior inside my car. I am able to listen to my text msg. Voice commands works really good on note 4.
I have this issue from time to time on my Nexus 5. I have to reboot it to fix it. It happens maybe 1 out of 30 times I use BT headsets. Enough to be annoying but not a deal breaker. I am beginning to think this may be an Android issue and not Samsung. Those that have the issue on Note 4, does a reboot fix the problem?
Every now and then when I play Tunein Radio Pro, it would be a hick up. I already did the 30 sec buffer. But usually it works. Is this what you mean?
In my Jeep Wrangler I have BlueTooth. Every few months when I get a new device, I always have to call my mom for the BlueTooth test. The Note 4 has been the only phone to pass. For whatever reason my mom's phone would always sound like I was in a tunnel with the exception on the Note 4. Even the LG G3 failed this. In my 2012 GTI I had issues with some devices as well as my 08 WRX. It always came down the the BlueTooth stack for phone call quality and skipping and sometimes just dropping/crashing out of BT all together. Hope you guys get yours resolved. I know this is a huge problem. Heck when Note had its recent update, I was worried it would break something its just been too good so far! Best of luck guys.
I believe its a kitkat bug. It happened on my note 3 as well
Might warrant a return.
This is so annoying. I'm coming from an M8 (and previously M7) and use bluetooth for everything. Wireless headphones at the gym, wireless speakers at home, media in my car, and a Moto360.
Never had any skips/stutters on previous devices through any of these. Moreover, sometimes the music just STOPS and drops the connection and I have to repair the two devices in the middle of a workout. Is anyone experiencing the music STOPPING? Might return/exchange mine if not.
This happens through any media app - GPM, Milk, Netflix, etc. Want to throw my device.
I am having this issue in my Outback, but it is not happening in my WRX. I was thinking maybe it just doesn't like one, but now I see this is a larger issue. I haven't had this problem with my S5, so maybe it'll clear up when some Roms are released.
I'm having the same issue with my wireless Bluetooth headphones. I thought it was because I was too far away from the phone, but I'm having the same problem when I'm close to the phone also. My Note 3 does not have this problem.
I used my like at least 6 years old Bluetooth headset for like the 4 hours and in that time I barely had skips it only skipped when I left the room and went a few feet away also
Sent from my SM-T210R using XDA Free mobile app
same here
I'm having the same problem
I find this happens when the screen is off. When it's on, no issue. I hope an update fixes this soon.
This stopped after I went to Firekat Rom. Not sure why or how, but Bluetooth is smooth now

Just wanted to verify if anyone is NOT experiencing this issue? If there are Note's out there that are not experiencing it then I might exchange mine. If this is a software issue for all notes then this blows.

As I reported before, I had a similar issue on my Nexus 5 and rebooting would fix it. It was a rare occurrence but it would happen from time to time.
I have not experienced the issue at all on my Note 4 in the 8 days I have had it. I use BT quite a bit with my Heart Rate sensor and BT headsets while running and also connected to my stereo in my Sonata. Has been flawless so far.
This might have something to do with S-Health. Audio skipped for me every 10 minutes or so. Didn't matter the BT equipment. Yesterday, I decided to Disable S_Health. Today, at the gym, about a 90 minute session...no skips. The guy above using FireKat, by any chance that rom has S-Health disabled/uninstalled by default?
