T-Mobile USA. Snapdragon.
Just updated to Andriod 12 / One UI 4 using the official OTA. No notifications vibrate. Facebook messenger, SMS, outlook, gmail. They make do make sounds if I turn on the sound notification setting. My connected Galaxy watch vibrates. The phone will not vibrate.
In my notification settings all the apps are allowed have sound and vibrate. But nothing will vibrate, they will only make sounds.
Everything was working without issue until I updated this morning. Any solutions?
Clear cache and data from each app that wont work.. had the same problem... had to do it per app..... now its working fine
Most irritating was my alarm not working haha just taught it was my fault but it was just software problem...
Hope it helps ya
Thanks. I ended up doing a factory reset. That resolved it.

It is a Android 12 bug. Unfortunately, Android has yet not fixed this bug and users are still experiencing the issue. However, some of the users have managed to fix the issue by following some of the basic fixes. You can find out those tricks here: Notification sound not working on Android
Try these solutions and if you are still unable to fix the problem, then wait for Android to release a new patch to resolve this sound issue.

Hello, I've been having this problem on my i9305 after installing the newest version of SentinelROM v6. After turning off all notification sounds, even the music ones and after receiving text messages over phone operator or over whatsapp the notification sound still keeps playing. I tried restarting the phone multiple times, even reinstalling whatsapp. The notifications in the app are turned off.
Does anyone else have the same or similar problem or does someone have a fix for this problem? Thanks
Hi All
First post so please bare with me.
I have been using Android Auto recently with my new car and though its great, one annoying feature. I use WhatsApp a lot. So much in fact, that I want to disable all notifications to show up when I have the phone plugged in. It won't stop popping up on the screen (Screen Head on car) and keep hearing a notification sound. I have put the phone in Do Not Disturb mode, disabled notifications from the App both Android Auto and WhatsApp, etc, etc. Nothing seems to work. Anyone else have this issue? I wanted to same with SMS and that I was able to silence the pop up and sound but WhatsApp proves to be difficult. Any help would be appreciated.
Android 7 on Nexus6P
I have the same issue. It is annoying as hell, I've reported the bug to Google, will update if I hear from them. I am on Galaxy Edge 7, Android 6.1.1
Hi,
since ~2weeks ago when I got message in messenger, it vibrates one short and one long. In the past it was only 1 short..
Not all phone affected, in the family there is another p30pro, everything is the same, and that is fine.
In local forum another huawei phone has this issue.
Anybody faced with this? Any solution?
You changed your notification sound?
nope, no changes.
found this..: https://prohardver.hu/dl/upc/2020-04/167156_screenshot_20200414_143648.jpg
disable the always vibrate. now the long bzzzz bzzz changed to short bz bz.
There is a section in the notifications of the app that shows you notifications of chat bubbles, chat and calls, stories, among others and you must modify one by one to disable vibration, and it is only activated when the smartphone is in vibration mode
I have this problem since I updated to MIUI 11 .eu dev rom, whatsapp randomly puts the incoming messages in the "Silenced" category without even notifying first.
With this, I don't receive the normal notification sound and the led of the Mi9 don't blink.
As a workaround I tried to change the "silenced" category to high priority and selected a sound, but whatsapp keeps changing it to default.
Anyone have this problem too?
Well like no one has this problem, I solved this by using a reminder app and disabled altogether the whatsapp sound.
Many people have this issue. But they do not know it.
I've set them active and they don't make any audible notifications vibrations, sometimes.
It's making me crazy.
Anyone else?
i've also noticed this. wasn't sure if it was just me. not sure if i should be glad someone else is having the issue. i'm not having the sound play or getting the vibration. wonder if it's sleeping too deeply or what.
after using it a few more days, i've noticed that there are also times when i get a vibration but no sound, even though i don't have it on silent.
I've been scouring the internet and have made a post on the Google Pixel Phone Help Forum. Perhaps people who're facing the same problem here can upvote it so we can get to the bottom of this?

So far, I've tried:
1. Booting in Safe Mode in case it was an app that was causing these problems (I was suspecting Blockda, the AdBlocker, but that wasn't it).
2. Going into the notifications menu and making sure each and every app had notifications enabled.
3. Toggling battery saver mode on and off.
When I turned on Notifications History, I saw that Push Notifications were being logged there, they just weren't making it to the status bar and aren't making sound for whatever reason.
Hmmm, interesting topic. I received my 4a 5G today and I noticed that I did not receive my Gmail notifications at all or delayed. Strange, haven't had such issues with any other phones.
