Note 9 OEM unlock snapdragon - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Questions & Answers

I've read all the threads I could find and on this model some of those options do not exist. Phone is unlocked. Am I out of luck? Or is there something I've missed. Thanks

AFAIK you can't OEM unlock a Snapdragon SoC based phone.

Snapdragon N9500

Hey, does anyone here have a N9500. I got mine from HK. Not sure whether it has got a unlocked bootloader by default or it's locked. Can't seem to find the OEM unlock option.

If your device has an Exynos soc then you might have to wait 7 days for it to appear in developer options.
If you have a snapdragon soc then you won't get the OEM switch at all! The OEM switch is for Exynos (international) versions only! Also your bootloader is LOCKED!
(This is weird found a sammobile.com page says that g973u has exynos soc and on gsmarena says snapdragon soc.)

Does a *factory* carrier-unlocked Samsung S20 FE 5G have an unlockable bootloader?

It's said that U.S. carriers almost always lock down the bootloader of a phone permanently. Thus, if a phone is carrier unlocked at the *FACTORY*, ie. it is not manufactured for any specific carrier, is it safe to assume the bootloader would be unlockable? Would this apply to a Samsung S20 FE 5G? Thanks
I live in Australia. Just bought an unlocked (carrier) 5G version and successfully unlocked the bootloader.
Nope, not the US variant unlocked model
Yea I wish I knew that before I bought the US unlocked one.
But I saw in another thread talks of flashing EU snapdragon firmware to see if it lets us US unlocked phones have access to oem unlock

Tried it, and it doesn't let you flash. But hopefully someone can figure out how to bypass that.....

Do you don't have a exynos that's a Canadian variant.
The Canadian variant is a North American snap dragon.
Have to unlock bootloader first then install magisk. See developer threads for bootloader unlock service only if it's on bootloader version 1. To check bootloader version it look in settings/about/software the number 5th from the right is the bootloader version. Your 991w should be a snapdragon processor. The exynos model is 991F and you can unlock bootloader for free you can get oem unlock to show up by following guides on google.

Question Locked Bootloader?

Hello,
I recently got a new S21 Ultra and I was trying to unlock the bootloader & flash stuff.
I haven't rooted phones for a few years, so I am unsure how much has changed. As far as I know, EU Exynos models have unlockable bootloaders, don't they? My S8 did back then.
As I noticed the OEM Unlock option Is missing from the dev. settings. Fastboot can't seem to detect the device either. If I go to DL mode, I see a line OEM Lock: on(L).
My build number is: G998BXXS6EWBB
One UI: 5.1
Is my BL completely locked or is there any hope that it can be unlocked?
