MI 8 - Bricked

Hello,
I was running unlocked bootloader and pixelexperience rom. Today I wanted to try to flash latest xiaomi.eu and now my phone is bricked.
Steps:
Twrp -
flashed data (after that i saw that i had an error and data didn't flash)
installed rom (because i didn't see the error) - rom failed to install
flashed data again from twrp advanced option
phone rebooted and now it bootloops on mi logo. i do not have recovery nor fastboot.
what can I do in this situation? i searched the forum but there is nothing similar

You must have fastboot, check how install miui using mi flash. I use this method and working for me

When I try to boot into fastboot, it only shows black screen. The PC does not recognise it.
Also, I do not have EDL mode available..

Exact same issue, no fastboot or EDL mode. Tried updating the latest Miui 11 - Android 10 - Xiaomi EU Rom (Jan 25th) and the phone has been bricked.

Solution Deleted.

got into EDL mode using test points, but now i have edl auth error - "cannot receive hello packet"
Seems like a common problem for bricked devices and need mi account with the right edl auth privileges.
Any help welcome.

There is nothing to do, unless:
A) you find a Xiaomi Authorized account (in which case please alert us)
B) you manage to hack the EDL mode and bypass the Authorization.
Tertium non datur.
EDIT: EDL is the only chance for you anyway @Andrei221
If you had fastboot you could get into EDL by running: "fastboot oem edl", but since you have no fastboot you're only left with the test-points or an EDL-cable.

No. I've tried different things:
- trying to flash with QPST in EDL mode (9008)
- trying to flash fastboot roms with various/ancient versions of MiFlash in EDL mode (9008)
- flashing standalone modem firmwares (old ones, new ones, non-ARB ones, packed with NON-HLOS, etc.) from TWRP
- doing a MITM on the response that MiFlash & MiFlash PRO get from https://update.miui.com/updates/miotaV3.php
- doing a MITM on MiFlash and redirecting requests to old URLs (https://update.miui.com/updates/miotaV2.php, https://update.miui.com/updates/miota.php) and black-box testing them
- using MobileEdit Forensic tool to exploit the EDL firmware
*Note*: I've obviously tried all the different FireHose programmers that are floating around (including those distributed by MobileEdit).
Nothing works.
Especially trying to modify the response (if one understood its format) could very well be useless because it could be that the response from update.miui.com is validated directly by the firmware itself (like a challenge-response authentication) - this has to be verified.
The only possibility I see for now is to flash the original Xiaomi Recovery, let it connect to MiFlash Pro (choosing option n.3 from the menu), and then using IdaPro to trick MiFlash Pro into telling the Recovery to flash the phone. It shouldn't be hard, and I think it *MIGHT* offer the possibility to bypass ARB & Authentication (but I might be wrong: it might be equivalent to flashing from Fastboot). That waits to be tested.
I hope this saves y'all from wasting time.

RN9 Anti-Rollback triggered

I Bricked My RN9 by triggering an older Miui Version
I saw on the internet and most people said that I should go to a Mi Service Center
they took it there for almost 3 weeks and then, They told me the phone is out of warranty!!
How should i fix it

The phone bootloops and the pc gets recognized to it but, I can't boot into recovery mode or fastboot mode so I can't flash anything.
Anyone knows the solution ?

Actually , the Official store should be able to fix it.

Enter fastboot and flash
If it's a softbrick, you're seriously lucky
Enter fastboot mode by holding down volume down and power button
In some cases once the phone is bootlooped, you only need to hold volume down
Once entered fastboot, flash miui latest version via Mi Flash tools

Actually all firmwares keep in same rollback version.
So you can have V12.0.6.0 installed and then flash older version, as V11.0.2.0. Or opposed.
If you are using V12.0.4.0 or lower, you can flash without EDL and authentication.
If you are using V12.0.5.0 or higher, you need EDL and authentication for flashing.
If you want to use sp flash tool, you need to flash the stock rom preloader using V12.0.4.0 (or lower). (It will works perfectly with lower preloader binary version).
With an older preloader version, your phone will can receive DA files and accept flashing with NO auth.
Everything you need to do is plug your phone in usb (without press any key, if you press any key it will enter in EDL mode and requests authenticaion).

Edl mode is basically service center repair from xiaomi.You need ifu dongle or contact repair center.or black market not recommended do.

This section is for MERLIN (redmi note 9).
If you want to use sp flash tool, you need to flash the stock rom preloader using V12.0.4.0 (or lower). (It will works perfectly with lower preloader binary version).
With an older preloader version, your phone will can receive DA files and accept flashing with NO auth.
Everything you need to do is plug your phone in usb (without press any key, if you press any key it will enter in EDL mode and requests authenticaion).

Do I need to flash it via fastboot ?
I have already done it but my device is detected in com ports for only 2 seconds and then charging screen appears. I have also installed device filter(libusb).
And after flashing preloader by device doesn't stay in edl mode even I connect my phone while pressing and holding vol down .

Question Blackscreen loop booting

Hi,
I'm stuck with my phone: it still loopbooting every 5seconds, black screen, only retrolight.
Bootloader is unlocked. I wanted to install twrp, but fastboot says partition recovery not existing.
After reboot, i'm stuck with this mod.
Try to press volume - to go again in fastboot : phone is detected by computer, then disconnected because it's rebooting.
Do you have a solution to try for me?
Or what are EDL point? I've tried to make an ELD cable but did not work either.

How long is your bootloader keeps active? If it's about 5 - 10 seconds, you can try paste the command to flash stock recovery. I attached it if it's possible to do so (from the latest global). And by the way - THERE IS STILL NO ANY CUSTOM RECOVERY for our device, sadly. Actually there is some, but only mouse works.
The commands to paste:

Sorry but my bootloader don't stay active long enough. I just ear usb detection from PC , then one seconde later, usb disconnection sound.
Phone is still loop booting.

Can you try then pasting "fastboot oem edl" (emergency download mode). The screen should turn black

Test points, which are unknown so far. You have to disassemble the phone, tho. And you can try to find these points yourself, at your own risk obviously. If you will succeed, pls tell me. We need to know the test points.

EDL mode in Xiaomi mediatek are called BROM mode. Don't need to disarm the mobile.

nice tip!!!! this is a very helpfull guide for solve hard brick on mtk devices. i have decided never modding this phone, excep root when i need a full backup with migrate. because is much mure complicated than snapdragons. but your post is very very helpfull for who want to try anyway

Question Realme 8 Bricked

I followed the instructions on this thread Flashing TWRP and Rooting Realme 8, and it bricked my phone. I must have done something wrong but I dont know what. After the step where I had to hold Volume Down and Power and release 5 times, I got the message the recovery/bootloader has been damaged.
I managed with to get the recovery working again with stock recovery, but it wont boot. It wont detect my SD card nor does it detect any WiFi for online Update.
I tried SP Flash, but now it gives me the error that verified boot is enabled, even though im using MTKSecureBoot.
Can someone help?

Try to flash back stock boot and vbmeta images using MTK client or SP flash.
