Any news about android 10 roms for mi5?

are developers interested in building android 10 roms for mi 5 or its time for me to buy a new phone?​

Phh AOSP android 10 treble rom is already released. Pixel experience android 10 beta is already out. It's still pretty new, give them some time, there's gonna be plenty.

I couldn't find pixel experience android 10 rom for mi5 and the los17 gemini repository in github is inactive

Ya, LOS is there I can see. No thread for PE-10 yet. I've found that on several Mi5 channels on telegram. Monstermite made a youtube video as well, you can check. May be we're gonna get some other Android-10 based roms for our almost 4 years old device in upcoming days..which is pretty cool I guess.

Question Can someone make android 11 rom ? I dont like android 12 ui because its very laggy

There are official android 11 based roms for redmi note 11. You can flash them and ofcourse you need a guide and you can get it on xda in your device section and you can also search about it on google

I guess you are referring to a custom Android 12 based ROM, if you now are asking for a stock Android 11 ROM, probably you already are stuck on it.

gsi is not good for daily use

android 11 is already 2 years old so it's better to use a12. sad to see google to release new android versions instead ironing out the already existing issues and bugs present in a12. sit tight for now as custom rom devs out there are already working on this . for now use evolution x, seems stable except for gcam & zoom issue. (not sure about vowifi)

Gcam recognizes and uses all lenses. Of course, zooming is also possible. I'm using a call with volte. I'm not using vowifi, so I don't know. These settings are possible with the phh treble setting.

Question [spes/spesn] no google custom rom when?

Slowly new custom roms are fading in for the spes/spesn redmi note 11 and now there finally is its own forum here.
A custom rom without Google and its services is still missing among these roms.
Hit a post here if you find some de-googled custom roms, will do the same.

The lack of de-googled official roms seems to come from the fact that xiaomi did not yet open source the kernel source code for the spes/spesn devices. https://github.com/MiCode/Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource

I'm leaving this spes/spesn and will try to get a device where the OEM is more cooperative with opening their source code. There will be no further updates from me in this Thread.
Make sure to drop new information here, since there are and will be quite some people wanting official custom roms without google.

There is LineageOS unofficial, I think it doesn't have Gapps.

That would be highly fancy, do you maybe have a link? I couldnt find anything in that regard.

i currently use Pixel Experience GSI rom and runs good noted: i installed via fastboot not using twrp recovery (as same as monthly update) Noted: now i move to PixelPlus UI for Android Auto Compatibility

Spark OS is also without gapps (vanilla version). Currently I am using LeOS (GSI). Its ungoogled by default and works well.

Tried Lineage OS linked in this thread , I cant install gapps ,can anyone do a build with gapps.

LineageOS needs some bugfixing. help them out first before building new, buggy OSes.

Pixel experience could look and feel super nice on this device, but as of now i think that it could be helpful to complete LineageOS, since it is still in alpha stage

Lineageos would be great, it will benefit plenty of other roms, including the degoogled ones!

You do have quite a lot. Most custom ROMs for Mi 11 Pro are compatible with 11 Ultra. PixelExperience (both unofficial and official), official crDroid, official Project Elixir, official EvolutionX, unofficial CherishOS, unofficial DerpfestAOSP, unofficial riceDroid, and probably more.
Edit: Even though, you're unlikely to get support for Mi 11 Ultra for official PixelExperience, since the developer never mentioned that it's compatible with 11 Ultra.

And I think the dev from official pe allready dropped support . When you visit site there is no maintainer anymore with mars

Because they're not allowed to support android 12 anymore. According to PE's blog, December 2022 is the last month for Android 12 support.
Therefore, there's a big chance that the dev will bring 13 to Mars

there is official and unofficial pixel expirience, official crdroid, official evoX, unofficial ricedroid, unofficial cherrishOS, official project elixir, official project 404, official derpfest and you say that there is no roms for mi11u
