Hello... having some issues with an A8+ stuck in a boot loop. This happened after I wiped cache & did the factory reset. Tried flashing latest firmware with Odin 3.13.1 but just fails during the process. Tried many different firmware and none have worked. When in recovery mode i see a message on the bottom that says " firmware info was not valid" . Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you

I tried installing CM7 but accidentally downloaded and tried to flash an update. I can get into recovery and download mode but my phone can't get past the "Galaxy S" screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
go to recovery mode and wipe cache partition and do a data/factory reset maybe it can help if no then have to flash a new rom
I have an S5830D that I flash an CM7 rom to (APOCALYPSE-FINAL), I'm now looking at getting back to stock. I'm having trouble getting my CWM restore back. Now after doing some searching I realized I would need to flash a stock firmware version through odin. I went out and found what i believe is the correct firmware version for this Koodo model (the name is S5830DTLKI4_S5830DTLSKI4_S5830DTLKI4_HOME.tar.md5) and tried to flash it.
Everything in odin goes through fine up to the point where it restarts the phone, Ill attach a screenshot of what shows up for me. After the screen shows up is when I get stuck in a bootloop where the phone model shows, then the koodo bootanimation shows followed by the samsung logo. I should note though I still have complete access to recovery, the downloader mode, and even the CM rom when i restore that backup. The fact I have access to all those gives me hope as I'm sure this could be reversed.
Any advice on how I can restore this phone to stock would be greatly appreciated. I'm not very familiar with samsung devices so please try to be patient with me as I realize I have gotten into something over my head.
PS Sorry about the glare on the image its the best I could do as it disappears quickly.

If you have complete access to recovery mode, try wiping data and cache after flashing with Odin. That does the trick for me when I have a bootloop after flashing with Odin.

Agreed... reboot into recovery and clear cache and dalvik cache and then reboot.
So I've just completed a new flash with odin, I went in and flashed cwm then proceeded to factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik, and I even do battery reset. Every wipe goes fine except for when I attempt to do the factory reset I received the following error:
Code:
E:format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
Even after those wipes it still bootloops but thats most likely as the factory reset didn't work.

Try not using CWM, or your SD card may be corrupt and you have to format it, I'm not sure though.

That did it, for some reason I had this thought in my head I had to flash cwm right away and clear stuff that way. Once odin finished I went in recovery and wiped data and cache through the stock recovery and it booted right up. Thanks for the help really appreciate it.
While I can boot into recovery or download, every time I try to boot into system, the phone stuck at bootlogo. I tried flashing different versions of stock firmware, with no luck. I tried flashing CM11, with no luck either. I even tried flashing service firmware, but my phone still cannot boot into system. And yes, I applied param and wiped data/cache after flashing, and this didn't help. Any idea what I can do now?
Edit: I also tried flashing service firmware, which didn't help.
Hello,
I am new to this forum and to custom flashing in general, so please bear with me.
I have recently acquired a Galaxy S4 Active GT-i9295 that at previously been upgraded to 5.0 Lollipop (prior to my ownership).
The phone currently will go to the Samsung splash screen and then I get a screen that says
"Encryption failed - Unable to complete encryption because of interruption. Perform factory data reset (erasing all of your data) before use. After resetting, try encrypting device again" and then a "reset device" button which, when pressed does nothing.
The phone allows me to power it down, but will not allow me into the factory reset menu (home+volume up+power). It does, however let me into the download mode (volume down + power).
From there I attempted to recover to the factory firmwear using Odin 3.07 and CWM-Recovery-gt-i9295_v1-2.tar.md5. Odin gives me the blue light when recognizing the phone, but when I attempted to flash it, it failed.
next I tried to flash it with a PIT file to re-partition it (I9295.pit) and the re-partition failed.
I am a bit stuck here. I have seen fixes here that suggest clearing the cache, but since I can not enter the main recovery menu, I am at a complete loss. Any help would be appreciated.
A separate PIT is never used for flashing with Odin.
Where did you acquire that?
Current CWM-based recovery is 6.0.5.1,
Multirom TWRP recovery 2.8.4.0
The v1-2 CWM based recovery is 6.0.3.5. The one you tried to flash is really old with unknown support for Lolipop and extended file systems.
Encrypted devices are locked by password even if you install a new custom recovery. If you don't know password (strange given it's your phone?) a flash of stock 5.0.1 + factory reset will wipe all clean.

Hi, I have an ATT S3 MINI G730A, I flashed the stock firmware completely even with the Phone Bootloader Update ticked, and after succesfully flashing the file, it gets stuck on Bootlogo with the blue "Recovery booting" sign. I used the G730AUCUBNG3 firmware, wich is 4.4.2, and I can't boot to recovery neither to wipe everything... Help!
boot into recovery and Wipe data/Factory reset and Wipe cache partition.

If you work on windows you can use ODIN on PC & Download Mode on the S3 to flash a new Recovery !
