Hi respectful developers,
I bought Redmi K20 Pro from Australia, on the back of the device it is labelled as Redmi K20 pro but in the about phone section it is Mi 9T pro as prior to exporting it to Australia, exporters unlocked the bootloader and installed the global MIUI 10 (see snapshots).
Now the question, will this device in my hand get MIUI11 and Android 10? If yes, when? Will this update revert the device to the Chinese MIUI 11 ROM? If yes, how to get the official global MIUI 11 for the Redmi K20 pro?
I am currently residing in Egypt and would very much appreciate your good technical assistance.

Mohamed Atteya
Basically they flashed 9T global ROM in your K20 pro. Which further means the bootloader is unlocked, if yes, you will still get OTAs when they arrive and you will be able to install them, OTA will come of same ROM and not of a different region so rest assured you won't go back to chinese.
HOWEVER. If you will use miflash tool to flash any other region's ROM, MAKE SURE you DON'T check on CLEAN ALL AND LOCK option in bottom right corner. Only check CLEAN ALL. This is because locking a bootloader with different region ROM installed bricks your phone.

Try to change your region to other country like Spain or Germany, reboot your phone and check your system update (updater).

Regarding when you'll get OTA, it will eventually come as per their dates

Go to the official xda Magisk thread, it's very easy to find. You'll find all the info needed. It has very good documentation on there. There is nothing unique to installing on this phone, or with Xiaomi.eu ROMs, so all the info you find is relevant.
Hello thanks a lot, i installed magisk normally, very happy to install ir thx[emoji3]

If it's not a Chinese handset then yes.
There's 5 hardware regions; EUXM, INXM, RUXM, CNXM and MIXM (Global) - each must be on their corresponding ROM before a relock. Otherwise it's a brick.
Hi, so i recently got the new Mi 11 and stupid me, i didn't check what version it was and when i booted the phone up, i realized that i got the Chinese version. Due to me having no patience waiting the 7 days to unlock it i cant really use anything. Can someone help me
You have to wait
It is possible - but I do not recommend - you can in EDL mode bypassing xiaomi authorization, you may brick the phone
But to do it hi has to have athorized acout or someone who has It.

The guy on Telegram group who fixed my bricked mi 11 buy flashing through edl told me that he cannot flash a Global rom to my mi 10 with locked bootloader and CN rom. If he cannot do it for mi 10 it is unlikely that he can do it for mi 11.
Hi everyone,
I've tried everything but I can't root my Mi 9T Pro!
I followed these tutorials :
-
- https://droidfeats.com/magisk-patched-boot-img-for-k20-pro-mi-9t-pro-on-miui-12/
But nothing works, it is still impossible to root it.
I even used the tool: https://www.xiaomitool.com/V2/download and the installation of the Recovery TRWP is done well but not the Root Magisk.
Moreover I am not a star in English.
Would someone dedicated and competent for a good tutorial in French (or in English, no matter) and well detailed please?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Have a nice day.
