Question battery draining on custom roms - Redmi 9 Power / 9T

Hi, I've noticed that the battery on my Redmi 9t draining faster on custom roms comparing to the stock miui rom
And I've tried many custom roms like Dot os, pixel experienc.......etc , but they all drain battery morz then the stock rom, and i've tried many custom kernels but it still drain battery, so please Has anyone noticed this problem or have been able to fix it ?

Download AccuBattery and check which app is draining the battery. And also check the battery's health.

Some apk's draining the Battery fast, example the Facebook application.

That's the price of using custom roms. Unless the device is quite popular and has a huge fan base working on stuff, you will never get a custom rom better than the original.

i'm using havoc os without GAPPS and no battery problem, such as said, it depend on wich apps you have installed after the ROM

ROM Alternative

Right now I'm using cyanogen 6.1 but I'm noticing a lot of battery drain and on my car charger my phone continues to drain even while charging. I don't want to go back to stock because I love features like portable wifi, but I'm a heavy user and I need solid battery life. Any ROM suggestions for me that I can flash through clockwork while I'm at work? Or any ideas on how I can fix the battery on my current CM ROM?
first about the battery life... Got to settings, about phone, battery use. What is eating up your battery? usually display eats up most of my life. Try turning your display down... Maybe you have a rogue app running in the background eating up your juice?
As for ROMS, the stock ROM does have wifi hotspot and USB tethering. Perhaps try the stock ROM for a while and see if that makes any difference? It could be a battery problem/ issue. There is a great app for CM that allows you to see your battery life/wear @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=765609
The ROM I have been using is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=714184. It is very close to stock, but has many performance tweaks and such. I use it with this kernel : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=820172. By far the best battery life on any ROM/kernel combination I have tried. Both can be flashed by Clockwork.
Also, when Gingerbread finally gets here, there is a much updated and detailed battery meter installed with graphs. Hopefully it will only be a few more weeks.

Battery Life on Cyanogenmod vs Stock ROMs

In general how is the Battery Life with Cyanogenmod ROMs?, better or worse than the Stock ROMs, like Chroma for example?, thanks
Chroma isn't a stock ROM. Its AOSP. And besides "bad coding", battery life as nothing to do with the ROM itself. Its all about the kernel set up (and they can all be set up the same) and what apps are installed. The biggest drainers are the screen and radio

Pixel Experience Rom Pie

I just installed pixel Experience Rom pie update from the official site. Everything is great. No bugs till now. But battery is draining like crazy. 30% battery drain in one night. Help me please what to do. Should I go back to Oreo? Suggest me any good roms with just as it is pixel experience. I don't need customisation. I need stability.

Use custom kernel, its help:good:
To me it Looks like a standby time battery drain bug, most ROMs suffer through this at some point. One of common bug.
As mentioned above flash custom kernel or consider going back to previous known good Pixel Experience build you have used or you can try turning on battery saver on standby time.
I also had this issue on Resurrection Remix Oreo build and battery saver helped me to save battery on my device on standby time.
I am currently using Havoc OS Pie Latest ROM it also has tremendous heat issue (battery drain of from 30% to 9% in 15 minutes) without even using device.
I like this ROM for it's customizations and stability but heating issue was causing me to stay away from it.
Just yesterday I've clean flashed Havoc OS latest Pie build on latest Rockstar kernel and it's going great.
No huge battery drain and no heating issue and also battery backup is good.
Try flashing latest Rockstar kernel or other your desired kernel if you wish.
I'm Using Pixel Experience ROM (Go) and it's working fine. I'm using Jaguar Kernel.
Find it on 4pda .ru

Battery draining

My battery drains so quickly
android system consumes 30% of it
screen on time is 2 hours
I tried everything i changed the battery changed the rom (custom -official )
and still the same issue I don't know what to do
I use the resurrection remix 7.2, with no problems. I did find my battery life going down faster with 7.4. Could you try 7.2 with minimum apps extra installed? Then you can figure out if it is something you've installed or if something is wrong with the battery.
I have the same problem
Waiting for solution
I already changed battery and rom miui stable and almost every rom in xda and problem continues ...
Please devs help us

Redmi 4X pie problems

Hi redmi 4x users, if I install any custom rom running on Android pie it's getting serious overheating and battery drain, also during browsing internet or messaging. I want to ask everyone who use custom ROMs on redmi 4x, if you face these issue too or it's hardware problem on my device only. Overheating isn't so strong on lineage os but it's still there, so only thing I can do, is having MIUI rom. The most strange is, it's happen only on any non-MIUI rom, on modified MIUI rom(from rom builder) isn't this issue, so I'm really confused where is whole problem, maybe in fact, that stock Android hasn't MIUI aggressive optimization, but I don't much like it, only good thing I like on MIUI is temperature of whole device and battery life ?.
Sorry for bad english and thanks for any reply.
I've used Pixel Experience ROM with Android 9 (Pie) based since June last year until now and everything works normally. The temperature is between 28° C (idle) and 40° C (gaming) and I think it's still acceptable.
No, i don't have this issue. Currently i am using havoc os 2.9 based on pie and i am using Pie builds since when it was made available. i get screen on time of 8+ hours. there is no heating issue while charging nor doing other tasks/multitasks. however when i use Gcam for longer time it tends to go little warm and that is totally fine because it is high CPU demanding.
Maybe you should try clean flash with latests gapps(if you use Gapps) sometime Gapps also causes heating issue.
I've used my phone on pie and 10 for a long time, but went back to stock MIUI in the end (7.1.2 ugh) because the battery drain was ridiculous, especially when on mobile data. got sick of having to go everywhere with a wall charger+cable or 10,000 mAh powerbank+cable, or both+cable. now it's much better, but I feel the battery aging, the phone has been in use non-stop since december 2017.
