Hi, I am using VZW X with stock 4.4.2 and I would like to purchase BL unlock code from Sunshine tool. However I am not sure if this is permanent. So basically I have below questions:
1, If I flash stock 4.4.2 after unlocking BL using that tool, will my BL be locked again? (Flash BL with same version)
2, If I flash higher stock ROM like 4.4.4 or future Lollipop after unlocking BL using this tool, will my BL be locked again? (Flash BL with higher version)
My guessing to those would be no and yes. Thanks in advance for your time to read this or even kind enough to reply me
First off, the sunshine doesn't provide you with the unlock code. It unlocks it for you and that's all. OTA's and sbf's will not relock your bootloader <inert stock warning about never downgrading>. The only thing that will relock it is the explicit fastboot command. If you had the code you could unlock-relock-reunlock to your heart's content but I believe sunshine will only work to unlock the first time.

Thanks. Can I understand your word as after I purchase unlock from sunshine I can flash BL to current version or higher version and still keep it unlocked? And for your explicit command I believe you mean 'fastboot OEM lock', is it correct?
Yes. It has been posted recently a few times around this forum which bootloader codes correspond to which android version numbers. Always flash a matching or higher version to what you have and don't be tempted to get around that rule by only flashing parts of an sbf via fastboot. It's very risky and has bricked a lot of people's phones.
Yes, "fastboot oem lock" (or mfastboot oem lock) is the only way to end up with a relocked bootloader. Mind you that's "relocked". There is no way to go back to "locked" status to hide that you previously unlocked.
Remember that flashing SBFs and taking OTAs will unroot but you can always root again with an unlocked bl.

To expand and add a little to what @cntryby429 has already said..
Unlike the standard/official way of unlocking the bootloader (getting the code and issueing a fastboot oem unlock uniquecode), using Sunshine to unlock the bootloader is exploiting a vulnerability on the phone. To put it another way, Sunshine is a "hack." You do not get the bootloader unlock code. Because its a Hack, it only works ONE TIME. So if you unlock with sunshine, then relock later, you will not be able to unlock again.
When unlocking the official way (using the bootloader unlock code), flashing roms and newer SBFs and OTAs does not re-lock you. Re-locking is only possible by following the process and doing a Fastboot Oem Lock. All reports so far have been, that if you use Sunshine while on 4.4.2 or lower, flashing 4.4.4 SBF does not relock you. I don't know enough about Sunshine, and I haven't seen it been said, so I don't know what will happen if/when Lollipop comes to the 2013 X. i.e I've not seen it asked/answered... What if lollipop for the 2013 X contains patches for the vulnerability exploited by Sunshine, will it undo Sunshine's effects and will you be locked again?
As for the Downgrade warning, and bootloader versions...
30.70 = original 4.2.2
30.71 = 4.2.2 OTA with camera update
30.B2 = 4.4
30.B4 = 4.4.2
30.B7 = 4.4.4
and see -> http://mark.cdmaforums.com/MotoX-Downgrade.htm
Hi!
I recently relocked my bootloader, and I still get the bootloader unlocked warning. Is there any way I could stay locked and still remove the warning by flashing some logo.bin file?
Also, my software status in fastboot menu says "modified". I'm currently on latest stock version of Android on my XT 1092 as well as bootloader gave me no mismatch warning while flashing the firmware. Is there any way it could be changed back to official? Because it is indeed, official.
You can remove the warning. This thread will take care of you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-2014/general/warning-message-unlocked-bootloader-t2871478
As for the software status, I don't believe there is a way to have it not show as modified.
Hello.
Normally after relocking the bootloader on these phones it will say relocked. While debranding my phone I had the phone bootloader unlocked and rooted, with the untrusted boot up message. Half way through the debranded procedure I had massive issues with encryption and it not letting me past which took an age to sort out.
Once I passed that I managed to finish debranding the phone, but after flashing the the new firmware to the phone I stopped seeing the unlocked bootloader message, when I hadnt relocked the bootloader. When I checked, the bootloader was locked and frp was unlocked.
Everything is working fine with the phone, receiving updates, all themes working, everything working great.
I just don't fully understand how it's relocked itself, but Instead of it showing relocked it shows the original locked, but frp is now unlocked while the phone is locked, both originally said locked.
Anyone have any ideas. ????
Same for me
Look at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/p9-plus/how-to/guide-how-to-lock-unlocked-relocked-t3465486
Did you find out why frp doesn't go back to locked Instead of staying unlocked. I only ask because my NatWest app says i'm rooted or security settings have changed and won't let me log in via fingerprint. I wonder if it's because of this. ????
Edit. If you remove USB debugging and OEM unlock it relocks the frp lock.
Good thank you for sharing it
UPDATED:
Issue has been solved
( i buy 4 credits from dc unlocker and use HCU to read my boot loader code )
yes i know this is all from dc unlockcer yes they , unbrick my P9 but they also
changed the boot code when you flashed the rom via DC phoenix
im suspecting it that way .
Hello guys. Debranded P9 here
Nougat C432B386 Eva-L09
hw eu :country vendor
Bootloader unlocked and FRP lock
my device gets suffer from a hard brick
and recovered by DC Phoenix. In order to
have a Stable Nougat Firmware i decide to
debrand my phone ......
1st attempt : flashing the (.dgkmts AL10 chinese rom)
after flashing the chinese Al10 firmware
from DCUnlocker (.dgkmts) the device boot and
can be flashed into original stock rom
but the first attempt fails because my
vendor comes from a different build
2nd attempt: flashing the (.dgkmts AL10 chinese rom)
but this time, i decide to wipe NVME and OEM
after booting into system and checking my device
details my IMEI stays the same but Serial No is missing
so i had to use HCU to write my IMEI and Serial No.
and obtain a new vendor from hw eu
after booting system, I start to forced update the
EVA-L09C432B136
then i unlocked my bootloader at this stage
using the same bootloader code from Huawei
FIRMWARE:EVA-L09 C432B136
( please focus on this, i already unlocked the bootloader
here , and allow the oem to unlock )
status : bootloader unlock
frp unlock
the process is successfully done and after that
i check my device details and perfectly debrand
my P9, after a minute it received an OTA update
from Huawei System Updater ( C432B186 )
I update into it and reboot and received another update
again C432B322 ( Nougat-beta version) and then
received the Final Build C432B386
SUMMARY STAGES:
bricked and wiped oem info / SN rewrite using HCU
1. AL10 Chinese rom >
2. C432B136 ( stock firmware)
( do unlocked bootloader )
3. OTA C432B186
4. OTA C432B322 ( Nougat beta )
5. OTA C432B386 ( Nougat Stable)
status : bootloader unlock
frp lock
I'm into that version C432B386
and now im having a trouble here
flashing the original bootloader code
command : fastboot oem unlock xxx-xxxx-xxx
it says : wrong password
failed to write the command
" is it possible to obtain a new bootloader code ?"
i don't know why the boot code changed even though
i use it in unlocking my Bootloader and it succeed
2nd scenario:
when i try to go to developer options and
go to Allow oem unlock
so that i can be able to obtain FRP unlock
but it is greyed out.
" i've read that if you're on Nougat and you are already
in unlocked bootlader, you will have this issue "
the possible way of unlocking FRP is relocked the
bootloader first and the OEM UNLOCK option will
come out.
i guess the solution is finding a new Bootloader code
but "how?" does anyone knows this?
3rd scenario: flashing new recovery
( expecting to have administrative rights )
i try to flash also the twrp nougat version
but it says verification error
command : fastboot flash recovery twrp3.1.0-3-eva.img
failed
i don't want to end up bricking my device again
I'm having a hard time to resurrect this and I don't
want to happen it again, I'm busy with my work so
i have to asked you guys, finding a best way how
to fixed this..
if someone is having a same situation like me
please participate on the thread and or someone who
already fixed this kind of issue please give us information . thank you !

Imo, If you change serial.no then your unlock code would be different
Try relocking and again unlocking the bootloader.

Dude i am in a similar situation.
I have the bootloader unlocked but frp is locked.
When you relocked and unlocked was the OEM unlock option changeable (not grayed out, no FRP LOCK) again?

As it turns out, you need to rollback to b182 and then upgrade to N through OTA.
dload b300
dload b182
OTA b386
OEM Unlock, ADB Debugging, USB Debugging
Unlock bootloader
twrp

why should i rollback ?
Hi, I'd like to re-lock the bootloader. I have performed all the steps to convert from CN to WW (also the fingerprint and themes). From the RAW flash 1908.21 I updated manually to 1910.35 and everything is fine. Can I re-lock the bootloader or should I do it immediately after the RAW flash? Because in the guide here on xda he says: ''
Relocking Bootloader
* Thanks to our respondent pd0200426 We can now safely re-lock the bootloader.
* WARNING: This needs to be done "ONLY" right after a Stock Rom Raw flash. Attempting to lock at any other condition might brick your device.
it's true? what i know is that the brick only happens when you re-lock the bootloader with the root ...
