Accidently lost phone numbers after flashing a new rom

Hey guys!
I accidentally didn't back up my contact phone numbers before flashing a new rom. I used to have Darky 10.1 GB, and today I flashed to Dark Knight 5.5 ICS rom.
Is there any possibilites to get the numbers back? There was tons of vital numbers I really need to get them back ASAP!
Hope someone could please help me out!

Did you sync with Google account? Just click google play and it will re-install all contacts as carlosousamn said!

No, I didn't synd with my google account. Any other ideas?

If you didn't make a cwm or any other back up and didn't synced with Google (it would be worth a try to sync you Gmail account contacts as it might of done it automatically) then there is no way to get them back I'm afraid

did you have numbers saved to sim card? if so go click on phone dialer icon select contacts press left button and import/export should come up click on that and select import from sim worked for me.....

Yes, I actually had some numbers on my sim card, but there were other numbers I saved on my phone memory as well. I didn't know until I flashed a new rom, and by accidentally I lost everything.

Hello.
If you didn't back up your numbers via google account or exported them to SIM, or exported them to internal or external sdcard.... you lost them and must enter them manually.
Because when you flash a new ROM you loose everything inside system/ or data/ folders. Just like installing an operating system on PC.

Not related to the phone at all but is it possible for you to get a list of all numbers you've called for few last months from your cellular operator?
That should not be a problem. Or take a look at your cellular invoice, there may be this list already attached - at least it is on my invoice
Don't know if the reverse operation is allowed by your operator - to get a list of all numbers that have called you.

It might be on your sin card. Go into the people app and hit the menu button and look for import from sim. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I know when installing a new rom, is like installing totally new operative system, but on computer, there is always possibilites to get the files back even you have formated everything, that's why I was thinking perhaps the phone would do the same job.
I have not called any numbers at all, I just saved them, and regard for the sim card. I did managed to get the numbers back, but not all of them. Some of them was saved on my phone memory.

[Q] Samsungs App updates does not let me log Samsung Account

I got an ICS updated official rom. Today as i opened my samsung apps application it requested an update. So i did.
After the update the app is working perfect except letting me go to my account setting. In my try to fix it i completly removed my accoun and tried to relog.
When i try to log it pops me to an option screen with to buttons to sign up and to log in. None of them is doing anything and i cannot proceed any further. The same screen appears also through the account and sync menu so no luck there also.
I tried to roll back the update and log, delete the cache still nothing.
My firmware version is N7000XXLPY_N7000OXALPY_DBT.
Is there a workarround to log to my Samsung account?

I had a similar problem on stock ICS and the only way to fix it was a factory reset. I couldn't get my samsung account to register after a factory reset so i did another reset and it allowed me to register my samsung acc. And hence have access to samsung apps etc.

I was really hopping for a more data friendly solution. I have invested a lot of time in apps and data in the phone to just nuke it

ah, i faced the same problem before, reset samsung account password and you will be able to login again.
edit:
I don't think i am allowed to post a link, so just google samsungapps forgot password / find password.

Well my problem is not account specific is phone specific. When i try to input the account i'm tranferred to a screen with 2 buttons one is to create new account and the other to sign up. None of the buttons doing anything so i'm not redirected to the username/password screen.

Is there anywhere to find the updated samsung apps .apk. I hope that maybe reinstalling it will fix the problem with linked accounts

I had the same problem, and seeing how I found two threads on xda with the description, and lacking the solution other than factory reset, here is how I got it working again.
Having an unrooted N7000 I took the .apk uploaded by the kind soul at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1581620 and installed it over the old samsung account. Then, adding a samsung account, as described under the linked OPs steps 4-6, I updated it - and it was working again!

I had the same problem, I was using my windows live mail to log in, It was solved by creating a new samsung account with the google mail acount .

[Q] Error 491 (G.Play) - Processes crash / Unblock from verizon to other

I bought a Moto Droid 3, the guy told me that is blocked (was from Verizon, and im from Argentina) to call and send sms/mms, but i could use Android apps with WiFi, the camera, etc...
I didnt want to call or send sms, i wanted to use it as a WiFi Tablet and the camera 1080p. So i thought great! So i bought it.
But i realized that the phone was rooted (i saw superuser app instaled).
I had some errors so i tryied to fix them clearing cache and dalvik cache in the safe mode but, i have THE SAME PROBLEMS in safe mode!
The problems are "The aplication XXXX (Process com.motorola.XXXX) has stopped unexpectedly. force close" with the following apps:
Calendar Storage (com.android.calendar)
com.motorola.service.main
Msg. SMS/MMS (com.motorola.conversations)
IM (com.motorola.im)
Email (com.motorola.email)
Contacts storage (com.motorola.contacts)
Twitter and some more...
Error in Google Apps when i download/update an aplication:
'"XXXX" could not be downloaded due to an error. (491).'
Also i cant download pictures from facebook for example.

You can get a unlock code from unlock4moto, cellunlockerpro etc. What system are you on? You can check in Settings>About phone

I cant get an unlock code cos i dont have credit or debit card TT_TT i cant put money on my pay pal account... im a 22 years old university student from Argentina (if someone could help me paying for my i would be more than grateful xD (just joking... or not? xD)
So if i try a factory reset, can i back up first some data using some app? cos i have a lot of progress on a game called "drag racing" and i dont want to lose it ahahaha.
Also the factory reset, erase the root access? or i will be still root user?

I did a factory reset but i keep having same errors with apps, and error 491 on google play...

Try removing the google account from account settings, reboot the phone and then add back the google account. Doing this solved my problem of error 491.

Can't access ProjectMenu

Hey there! So I have a problem. I was trying to go back to stock with a guide in this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rom-huawei-p9-magic-rainbow-t3601064 . When I flashed update.zip, I was stupid enough to reboot my phone. Everything was looking fine. Untill I tried to access the projectmenu to se the USB mode to Manufacture mode. I entered this code into my dialer: *#*#2846579#*#* . The dialer just went back to the recent calls menu. So I tried to update, but the update failed. The last thing I tried was to flash the stock rom again with dload, but the problems kept occuring. I hope someone can help me, because I'm clueless.

Were you able to solve this? Im currently having issues with magiskhide which could be because of logging not being turned on so I tried to access the project menu and just like you said, it goes right back to the call log without the project menu popping up

what build number? if build number are different from original , then project menu can work, and can not

Question Help! Whatsapp bug on Redmi note 10 pro

Good day. Please I need assistance.
I have an issue while using Whatsapp on Redmi note 10 pro (128GB/8GB). When ever I type a message, it doesn't get delivered. That is, the clock sign is there. No single or double check . Whenever I exist the app then open again, the message will deliver.
Every other thing is running smoothly, status are coming in, and no lag. But whenever I send a message it doesn't get delivered until I exist nd open the app again. If I type another message, it doesn't send untill I exit and open the app again. Sometimes Whatsapp will function normally and then randomly this problem kicks in.
Whatsapp version: lastest as the time of this Post.
Android version: 12
Miui: 13.0.8 (stable)
Please help me

1. may be network error...
2. if you have new update in playstore try updating and try...
3. clear cache and app data (clears all your files) and try again
4. or uninstall and reinstall whatsapp and try again...

I've been facing this problem ever since I bought the device on July 18th, 2022.
I'm using 4G, network is stable.
I've updated to the lastest version of Whatsapp .
I also cleared app data, but yet the problem still persist

See if it also happens with Wifi. It could be MIUI power saving enabled in settings. Make sure you have no power saving applied under whatsapp in apps.

1. Hav you tried using wifi connection...? still the same?
2. what about "restrict data usage" and "baground data" status?
3. hav u try uninstalling app?
4. Try changing ur keyboard app (i know its not related to this. But , i m asking u to try once)
5. what about other Messengers (like telegram) status?

(if nothing is works , may be try flashing again- no other way...)

Thank you for your assistance. Sorry for giving a feedback this late cause it took some time to follow the tips you shared.
1. I tried using WiFi. It didn't work. Other messengers like telegram and Instagram works normal in sending messages even on 4G mobile data.
2. Whatsapp isn't on restricted Data and it's allowed to use data on background.
3. I've uninstalled the app in the past before coming here for help and it didn't work. Even when I updated The app few days ago, it still didn't work.
4. I changed keyboard to swift keyboard from play store. It still didn't work.
I've also factory reset the phone in the past before coming here for assistance. It still didn't work.
I use two Whatsapp. Kindly Checkout the screenshot from main Whatsapp which gets 500 views on status. The messages doesn't get delivered. Check out the second Whatsapp which sends messages freely.
I feel like my phone is cursed.

I disabled every possible setting that could be the cause under MIUI but the problem continues. I allowed all permission and allowed background data. But no good result

I think you use a whatsapp modded right? If yes, you have to disable privacy mod in wz settings (like last seen, blue ticks etc.) and re-enable it. It's a bug with any version modded of whatsapp.

No I dont use mod Whatsapp. I use the official Whatsapp from Google play store. I searched in another community and discovered that some Redmi users also experience this but Xiaomi doesn't seem to care.

I managed to disable MIUI optimization in MIUI 13.0.12
All apps permission has been reset to default.
Now trying to observe Whatsapp to see if the problem is resolved.

The issue still persistent. Please help

....you have to enable all permissions in rightmanagement of whatsapp app. Then restart your phone.

I had this issue for a while. Resolved itself.

Thanks to everyone who provided support. I messaged Whatsapp about the issue and the asked me to update to latest version of WhatsApp. I did and everything worked out fine . But the funniest thing is that I've been updating to latest versions but it was never resolved. But when I emailed them and they responded, and I did what they asked me to do then everything went back to normal.
