I have somehow disabled the menu and back key on my I9000.
Gone back to the orginal ROM, still not working. Was using Darky 8.0, might have done something in SGS tools. Can someone please help!
Thanks
Try flashing stock firmware of your phone
Then update the touchkey firmware
Ive Flashed to orginal but not go, Tried several versions but not luck. Where do I find the touchkey firmware?
HI Everyone,

What I know is I went into SGS Tools in 2.2.1 ,I pressed an update touch screen I think.
please help!

Could be hardware I've had to repair two phones where touch buttons don't work

HI,
After I did a firmware upgrade I F*&d out. Must be software
The Phones TSP FW - 22
Parts TSP FW - 22
TSP threshold - 40
Touch key FW - 0xa9
Parts Touch key FW - 0xbf
+1 same here, I could not fix it
what version of phone you got?
I *just* had this issue.
Started out with my back key hanging on me after getting a custom ROM installed.
So I attempted to update my firmware for the menu and back keys and lost them both.
This seems to be any custom ROM, cannot handle the touchkey firmware update.
How to fix:
Grab ODIN and your stock 2.2.x firmware.
Disable lagfixes if you need to.
Flash it.
Update your touchkey firmware ( *#*#2663#*#* in dialer)
Now reflash a CWM kernel with ODIN
Re-apply your custom rom from sd.
I used the wipe option whenever possible so I would recommend the same.
My touch keys are once again working perfectly and Darky's rom is screaming fast.
I found the issue and fix after noobproof tipped me off to search out this thread:

this is killing me. Ive flashed back to 2.2.1 and tried all the other steps. The only problem is that my phone orriginally came with 2.1. I wanna try everything with my original firmware. Does anyone know where i can download a copy 2.1. from?
I had exactly same problem with damn 'return' softkey. I have searched and tried a lot of methods and no chance, I recomend you to go to samsung repair center. Aparently they replaced motherboard and screen to repair this issue.

i took my phone in for work today as ive tried everything and cant get it to work. Ive flashed almost every bit of firmaware i could find and and i could not get it work at all. When i took it to them they said that they've had a ton of problems with the new firmware frying the soft touch buttons. If you cant get your buttons to work i would recomend taking it to where you bought it and seeing if you can get warranty or even just send it out for repairs. Although sometimes it is just an issue with the firmware for the touch screen. Please let as many people as you can know that its a really really really bad idea to update the touchscreen firmware when you have flashed your phone with any roms other than the stock firmware that came with your phone. Have fun! I know i will waiting 4-6 weeks to get my phone back and sitting with a blackberry 8330, oh well, better than nothing.
Hey guys,
When I flashed my carrier stock rom I did not use any PIT options.
If JPY was the rom your carrier issued you then that should be the one you use.
Basically, the touchkey firmware update worked for me on a stock, carrier issued 2.2 (not 2.1 or 2.2.1, though those may indeed work) rom.
Once touchkey was re-updated in the stock, unrooted rom, I flashed back to custom roms as normal.
It looks like you did some pit repartitioning and used a JPY rom not issued by your carrier.
Also, my gt-i9000 is bell issued, so I've got to be wary when repartitioning not to kill my sbl.bin fix and introduce sd corruption issues; so I flash a stock rom with a bootloader update if I think a custom rom may have wiped it out.

you said you have a vibrant and you flashed back to jpy.
if you have a vibrant the product must be GT-I9000M
if you have a vibrant (gt-i9000m) you must flash to your carrier's latest rom-as far as i know bell's latest rom is jh2, search the forums for that- then update your touchkey fw.
hope this helps.

Help , LG G4 T-mobile ( h811) camera , flash , dialer wont work after updating to MM

Hi all , first I want to introduce my self , I'm Algerian my age is 28 and my english is poor ,
I've bought a barely used LG G4 T mobile USA (h811) in algeria (IMEI : 352392072710598) , the phone was on android 5.1 its updated itself on MM it was good until the dialer ,flash and the camera stopped working , with thoses messages : unfortunately dialer has stopped , unfortunately camera has stopped , and the flash doesn't work ; it says because the camera is used , I'm really sad guys it cost a month salary and there is no dealer or contructor warranty and no technical support for the T-mobile version in algeria .
I tried almost everything , erased cache of application , the issues are still here , factory reset/ hard reset --> same thing
I bought it 5 days ago !!
I hope you can help me guys
Wish you the best
Did you try flashing a new factory restore 6.0 image with a computer or did you just do a reset through the phone?

Hi Jobella , I flashed the 5.1 h811 10n with LG UP , I guess it's a gardware probleme , I got an OTA update to 6.0 (h811 20i) --> same problem, maybe the infamous motherboard , mine have a 506********* Serial number :crying:
Sorry for my english
Because you are already on 20i, I would try flashing the 6.0 factory image update through LG UP. Back up everything on your phone first. Do not flash the 10h because you may brick your phone. If it is a hardware problem you can buy a new camera on Ebay for $15 or a back panel with the flash for about $12. It doesn't sound like a hardware problem but It could be water or humidity damage.
First I would try downloading the factory image for 6.0 for the H811 from LG and flashing with LG UP. I assume you are not rooted and the phone is an H811.

Exactly the phone is the H811 , and yes I'm not rooted , I will download the stock 20i 6.0 image from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g4/development/stock-h811-20i-images-kdz-flashable-t3308227
When I flash it I will tell you
I dont know how the two cameras , the flash , the dialer system can die simultaneously without any physical damage , whatever I will follow your advice and flash the 20i , and let you know after
thanks jobella

Inverted X axis Touchscreen (alredy tried all methods that i could found)

Hey Good people of the internet!!
I got in my hands a Samsung Galaxy S6 FLAT (SM-G920I) that got its touchscreen axis reversed after the previous owner tried to install a custom rom. I bought it to try to make it work but I'm having no success.
I already flashed the stock room back into the phone, it didnt worked.
I also tried to dial *#2663# and update the TSP FW, oddly the part's and phone's tsp version is the same. Updating does not change anything. Luckily I compared this screen to a working Galaxy S6 FLAT same model, and although the phone's and part's version is the same. The 4th line isnt, it's showing G925_ST_3A21 in my phone instead of G920_ST_3A21 (CONFIG TSP FW). I believe this to be problem, The problem is that I don't have any idea how to update that.
Can anyone help me? I'm stucked on this problem 2 weeks now
Good day for everyone!! :laugh::laugh:

Been out of the loop for a while. Think 925 is an edge, rather than flat. What stock rom did you flash, and how did you flash it? Odin would likely be the way to go I think. Iirc inverted screen was one consequence of flashing edge roms on flat devices.

I used odin, and several G-920I Stock roms. I have no knowledge of what rom the previous owner used.

You need to flash g920a roms on a 920a model.

SMN920S TSP Threshold fail - boggy touches

Hi,
Oh well, I give it a try...
after a month of research I decided to ask for help regarding my issue. I've purchased a note 5 from ebay and it was sold to me as an international version (SMN920F - ok now I already know "F" for fake), but revealed that I been cheated with a korean version of the phone. It was flashed with a Saudi firmware but the sim card was not recognized by the phone. The touch screen appeared bit bogus, the keys were inaccurate as well so I've tried to flash the stock 7.0 android. Finally made the sim recognized, but the touch issue remain. I've found lots of instruction on code #2663.
Here's the thing, that every time I update the TSP firmware it passes, but the TSP threshold always shows fail.
I've tried to downgrade the phone to 5.1 or 6.0 android to have a different version of the TSP firmware, but unfortunately I couldn't downgrade the TSP firmware as it was failing.
I'm not sure, that the seller has changed the TSP of some other model's or they all the same.
The SPen is also inaccurate, almost 5mm off the tip. Any tool exist to fix it or as a last option offer the phone for the kitchen bin?
Thanks.

Need suggestions on the firmware after screen replacement

Hi Guys,
Recently, my galaxy note 9 screen stopped working after updating the firmware. The screen started becoming green and eventually stopped working. The phone is out of warranty. I raised a complaint and Samaung has replaced the screen free of cost after one month of follow ups(which meant that they have agreed that the screen issue was due to the firmware that they released, else why they gonna replace screen free of cost?).
Now, after the new screen replacement, the firmware is still the same as it was before the screen replacement. Service centre has just done a factory reset. I am afraid that the same firmware could again cause damage to the screen. There are newer versions of firmware released but I dont know whether to update or not. Attached screenshot shows my current firmware version.
Thinking to go for custom roms but my usage doesn't need it.
Please suggest.
You could download the latest firmware from the sammobile and flash via odin.
