Xposed v90beta1 (Magisk 16.7) is working with Mi Mix 2S at Miui 10 v8.8.3 (Oreo 8.0)

same here, my device is Xiaomi Redmi S2 with MIUI 9 & MIUI 10 (both on OREO 8.1) and Xposed makes my phone bootloop.

If you want to use xposed on MIUI 10 in your device.you can flash MIUI global 8.10.25 beta rom.because it's based on Android 7.1.you can download it from MIUI BBS .By the way i have a mi note 3

+1 for MIUI 10 oreo 8.1

why would you need a android 12 rom? just stick with android 13
