Modul list is Empty - Magisk

Hi. I have version 24.1 (24100) on my oneplus 7t.
Since the hide function was removed with the update and there are supposed to be modules, I tried to search for such a module. But the module list is empty.
I have cleared the cache and memory of the manager.
I deleted the app and reinstalled it.
But the list remains empty. And without the Hide function, I can't currently get into the bank app.
Can anyone help me with this problem?
Can I also call up the list via the browser?

Hide Magisk Manager seems not working in v15....is this function been changed now ?

I remember before was okay...when I clicked Hide Magisk Manager from setting, it will rename the app to unhide magisk manager......
But now after I clicked Hide Magisk Manager from setting....it will not re-create a new app for me....and the option for Hide magisk manager is gone in the setting....Just would like to know is this normal or I messed up something ? Please advise . Thanks a lot.
I updated today to version 15 and, in addition to brick my device, the hide function also does not work. I uninstalled the system, reinstalled version 14 and it's all right. I will wait for the correct corrections to update.
I have hide option. I'm using it to apps that detects unwanted root. For me works fine.

The function has changed. It will now repackage the Manager with a random name (you'll see it in the "About" section). That the option to hide the Manager disappears from settings simply means it's hidden. To unhide, install the Manager again. This also means that every time Magisk or the Manager is updated you'll have to rehide the Manager.
I tried again and the problem persists. Is there something new in this version 15 that needs to be configured differently?

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
Seriously though... Try toggling Hide off and on in the Manager settings, that might fix it for you.
Nothing, not even praying, but version 14 works perfectly. I'll continue with her then.
Checking the Samsung Pay app in Magisk Hide used to work but now it does not. I tried to hide the Magisk app itself but that isn't working either. The app's icon disappears from my home screen but still shows up in my app drawer. Any ideas? I really like Samsung Pay.

That's something completely different... But completely fine and as it should be.
When you hide the Manager, it uninstalls itself and installs a new Manager with a random package so that apps looking for the Manager doesn't trigger. That's why the home screen shortcut is removed, because the app actually is uninstalled.
Edit: and every time you update Magisk or the Manager this'll happen again, because whenever you reinstall/update the Manager, it gets unhidden. The repackaged Manager is uninstalled and the regular one takes over.

It's already been stated, but that's how it works. It's not hidden so that you can't use it. It's just been hidden by changing the package name to a random one. So, any app looking for the package name com.topjohnwu.magisk won't trigger if you've hidden the Manager.

No worries mate.
It's always best to keep things running as normal, unless you really need to... The repackaging feature is actually really complicated.
I'm using Magisk 15.3 and installed SafetyNet check then went to Magisk Hide in Menu and selected the apps I want to run as unrooted and it works. Try installing the safetynet check maybe it will work with you as well.

If I am getting the idea of this right, Magisk Manager is supposed to repackage itself with a random name so that it can't be seen by other apps? Or is it supposed to rename itself so when you look in the apps drawer, it is not called Magisk Manager?

Your first assumption is correct. The package name will change from com.topjohnwu.magisk to something random.

Ok, so what is it hiding itself from? Or when I hide other apps, what is it hiding them from? Like if I have a game I want to hide, it keeps the game in my app drawer, so it is not really hiding it from my own eyes.

Banking app crashes

Hi,
I have a banking app wich loink I provide hereby: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rsi.ruralviawallet2
In the latest versions it just crashes, and after force closing and few opening and closing the app tells me that the system is modified and cannot run.
I have MAGISK 16 with magisk hide and the app checked to hide root, USB debugging deactivated as well...
Tried to use the uninstall magisk and un-SU scripts and cache clean but still crashing, So it may not have anything to do with Magisk, but since I had it installed it may have left something over there that the app is detecting as a mofied system...
Any Ideas ?
Thanks so much for your help
Make sure to also hide the Manager. I can open the app just fine if it's added to the Hide list and with the Manager hidden.
There might also be other things causing issues... Check here for more tips:
https://www.didgeridoohan.com/magisk/MagiskHide#hn_Hiding_root_from_apps
Thank you
Anyhow it's still not working, I have uninstalled all the apps that can be only runt with Root in case that was the cause, but still crashing. The Phone is unrooted now...
I will try now to Re-intall Magisk and hide everything, see if it does work :S
If anyone has a similar issue or idea, all help would me much appreciated.
Thanks again

When you don't have Magisk installed there are a whole bunch of stuff that may trigger the app that MagiskHide otherwise hides. Try with Magisk again...
Thank you very much for your help!!
For people that's having the same issue, I've solved it uninstalling several apps like TWRP MANAGER, ROOT EXPLORER and other apps that can only be used with root, after did a wipe cache and rebooted.
Take care with TWRP, when you install the recovery it asks to install an APK and usually almost everyone hits yes. This app is most likely detected by some apps and considered as system modification. @Didgeridoohan thank you!! ( It may be useful to put tjis in your Wiki for everyone to be warned about this so you dont receive this question again )
Reinstalled Magisk, Hid the Magisk Manager, selected the app to hide on the list and it worked!
Everything's fine now.
Thanks a lot for you kind help

Magisk Hide not working for Pokemon Go

I'm using a Galaxy S8, Android 7.0, Magisk 16.6. When I try to play Pokemon go, it gives me the "OS not supported" message. The 16.3 fix didn't work back when it came out and I haven't been able to play since then. I did check the app in Magisk Hide and I activated the setting to hide Magisk Manager with a random package name, but it still doesn't work. Is there anything else I should do?
The only thing you can do that will work is to completely uninstall magisk. That should let you play pokemon go.
Pokemon also looks for a bunch of known root apps on your device, not only Magisk. And MagiskHide can't hide other apps.

There are a whole bunch... Busybox installers, system cleaners, etc. There's an old list available somewhere in the Magisk PoGo thread (search), but that list might be outdated. Easiest thing is to uninstall some root apps and see if it works better.
An easier alternative, if you have the means to do it, is to use a clean spare phone/tablet for Pokemon Go, and keep your phone how you need/want it for everything else. Bluetooth data sharing is enough bandwidth to make PoGo work.

Sure.
Make sure you have Pokemon on the Hide list.
Hide the Magisk Manager (in the Manager settings)
Delete the MagiskManager folder on your internal storage (next time you download/install a module through the Manager the folder will be recreated).
Edit: There will likely be an update to Magisk that will hide the MagiskManager folder. But for now this is a workaround.

Hmmm, tried all this, but still PoGo will not comply, even when I sandbox it in the work profile. (island app) The latter sounds a bit strange to me, as it should limit access to anything. (Magisk Manager gets installed, but is hidden)
To be honest, PoGo is just a test for when they start messing with Ingress as well. When it's getting to much trouble to have the app behave, it's out. They are just games, nothing to compromise my device for.
Also rename or delete every file or folder on your internal storage / sdcard that contains "magisk"

Any file? Not only the directory, but one that can be found somewhere on the device/external sdcard? (Like Magisk-v16.7.zip which you need to install it...)
Strange it should see it when sandboxed.
You can try, someone else said so, I did also do it and had no problem anymore so far.
But you should be right, that when its sandboxed it should not see it anyways...

Before using the hide magisk manager option, make sure magisk manager is NOT a system app. This will successfully repack magisk manager.
Then delete magisk fodler from internal storage and hide PoGO.

May be other ROMs come with integrated Magisk. That was the case in mine. Convert it to user app first.
Then try magisk hide again and look for the package name in app info (It should be something random). Then continue with other steps as it is and it should work fine.

Hi togehter,
if you use the Fake GPS Route, then uninstall via TWRP Magisk and then works PoGo (new version) perfekt, that works with my Samsung S5
I have a problem with my Samsung S7 edge, if I uninstall Magisk, then I have the problem, that the S7 go to a bootloop <--- Have anyone a idea?
Samsung S7 Edge
6.0.1
SecurePatch 01.12.2016
TWRP Recovery
If I install Magisk again, then boot the Samsung S7 without a bootloop, but then dont work PoGo
Xamel
Uninstall in the magisk app not by flashing a zip in recovery
Before I rooted my XZ premium I played pokemon go Just fine, afer Just enabling developer options (still locked bootloader and not rooted) it did not work Annymore, switching off developer options fixed pokemon go again.
Now with properly rooted Phone with magisk busybox, and whole bunch of rooted apps I am stuck as wel.... bonkers!!! !!
Could someone find a solution?

Are you suggesting it detects "Magisk" as keyword, so renaming the app would work? Or you added these rules in advance and aren't sure they are the key to success?

could you disable the keyword thing, reboot and test it? I have decompiled SecureHub, but the root detections are in native code, so didn't help to see what they detect.
My guess would be it's the app name, if the keyword helps. Then I just need to manually change Magisk app name, because the built-in rebuilding changes package name only.

Also, this guy should not be shaken hands with

Rootcloak works even after deleting magisk from the keywords. But if I delete the rootcloak, quickedit detects root even after changing the package name and app name.
My process to get Secure X working
I've got this working with a fresh install on Nexus 6, TWRP 3.2.3-0, LineageOS 15.1-20181226-nightly-shamu, Magisk Hide (Secure Hub, Secure Mail, Secure Web, installed from play store), Xposed Framwork V90 beta3 with RootCloak 2.1.1 added Secure Hub, Secure Mail, Secure Web. Btw I never opened Secure Hub or apps until Magisk and Xposed where fully configured.
Maybe too much info but its working good for me and thanks for the tips in the thread.

Can't get Huntington bank app to work

Tried using magisk hide and hiding the magisk app itself but neither works. Somehow it is still detecting that my device is rooted. I don't have any other rooting on my phone.
It used to work with the Huntington bank app just fine.
Anyone else have this issue?
Having the same problem recently with Chase Mobile.
Any way to reach the dev and let him know or to help him test it with these apps?
Have the same problem with the new update of my banking app "Natixis Banxy".
They found a way to detect magisk even when everything is hidden.
Try renaming the TWRP folder on your Internal Storage to something else. Then try your Banking app again. (Only applies to TWRP users).
Thanks but I'm not using TWRP. I do use it to initially load Magisk, but I don't keep it on the phone.

Doesn't appear to as I don't have a TWRP folder anywhere on my phone.
Bump for more thoughts and suggestions
I have been annoyed by this for so long but I finally just found a solution. If anybody is still having this issue, go into settings of magisk manager and find "Hide Magisk Manager" in the list. I stuck with the default name of "Manager" and then after that I cleared the storage for Huntington. I should also note that I have MagiskHide enabled for Huntington too but I don't know if that is needed when hiding Magisk Manager itself. After all that, fingerprint works and I can send money with Zelle again from the app.
