Question AOSP vs Xiaomi.eu - Xiaomi Mi 11

Hello there, Im currently using LineageOS and like it very much. The downside of LOS and other AOSP based ROMs (like Derpfest) are that there aren't any updates so far for a few months now. Three things that bothered me with MIUI (Global) very much:
- no gestures with 3rd party launcher
- battery life
- snappiness
My questions:
• Are there benefits in battery life/performance with the .eu version?
• Are there any signs of newer AOSP development?
•What would be the best/easiest way to switch from AOSP to MIUI?
Thanks in advance!

So MIUI 13 (for now):
- : Always NO gestures for 3rd Party Launcher (lol... but A12 Pixel officially fixed that)
=: Seriously now the battery life is just same or better than AOSP for me on MIUI 13 (Weekly, Xiaomi.eu)
- : Yes even if A12 MIUI 13 is more fluid, there always a big hole between fluidity AOSP rom & MIUI
So AOSP (for now):
+ : Yes actually ArrowOS A12 (pure A12) is available on the Mi11 dev TG, all working fine, just NFC (will be added in the next build), Finferprint (Not implemented/Working) & Ok Google (Not Working)
+ : Other actuals AOSP Roms will be updated normaly on A12, depending advancement dev.
For Switch easily between AOSP <-> MIUI 12/13
MIUI 13 > AOSP A11 :
- flash LOS Recovery
- LOS Recovery > format data/factory reset
- MiFlash > flash latest A11 CN fastboot
- flash LOS Recovery
- LOS Recovery > adb sideload choosen A11 AOSP
MIUI 13 (Stable/Weekly) > AOSP A12 :
- flash Arrow Recovery
- Arrow Recovery > format data/factory reset
- Arrow Recovery > adb sideload choosen A12 ArrowOS AOSP
AOSP 11 > MIUI 12.5/13 or AOSP 12 > MIUI 12.5/13
- flash LOS Recovery or Arrow Recovery
- LOS/Arrow Recovery > format data/factory reset
- MiFlash > flash latest A11 fastboot [CN/Global or EEA] (for be sure rebuild proper MIUI structure partitions)
After that, and/or for install :
Xiaomi.eu ROM A11 = install Recovery ROM from TWRP
Xiaomi.eu ROM A12 = install Fasboot ROM by running Xiaomi.eu *.bat

64 BIT GSI For Redmi S2

Hi everyone! I am very glad to present you the way (I used) to flash a 64 Bit GSI in our beloved yet cursed Redmi S2. I have tested phusson's AOSP Android 9 64-bit and it worked! Here you go:-
Requirements:
1. Recovery and ROM image: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-s2/development/rom-lineageos-15-1-ysl-t3892569 by @peaktogoo (Great Developer)
2. Stock MIUI already flashed in the Device.
3. Any 64 BIT GSI
Instructions:
1. Flash the recovery using fastboot and enter into the Recovery
2. Format Data by Wipe-Format Data-Yes
3. Factory Reset Wipe
4. Flash this ROM (by @peaktogoo )
5. Now Wipe again Factory reset
6. Flash any of the GSI System Image file by the recovery or if wished by fastboot and flash GApps (if required)
Yes! Here you go!
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
a) Custom ROM is built by @peaktogoo
b) All the bugs in the ROM developed by @peaktogoo WILL be present in the device (Brightness also giving slight issues).
c) Support @peaktogoo so he continues this development and finally reaches a Stable stage where you can flash any GSI without any bugs!
---------EDIT---------
You can also use this ROM instead of that of Peaktogoo's. This ROM is much more stable and then the flashed GSI can be used as a day to day driver easily:

GSI of course. Though I didn't get what you said. If you are asking for recommendation of a GSI, then I recommend you to get PixelDust to get a pixel like experience. But if you want more features then other GSI's like RR and ViperOS are good choices.

GSI Installation Guide?

Since Android 12 Beta 1 dropped earlier today, I was thinking if anyone managed to flash it successfully? Ever since Android 11 Beta last year, I never managed to boot, always stuck in android logo bootloop. I've tried numerous guide but I probably missing a few steps here in there.
Anyone managed to flash successfully please kindly share your step by step guide, thank you very much!

Question Need help

I want to install Google's own android 11 into Redmi 9 power. I am a beginner. So i need guides. Can i install official stock android 11 into my Redmi 9 power? And how can i do this?
You want to install pure AOSP I guess... Well for that first unlock bootloader, flash Orange Fox Recovery and then flash MiUI EU Weekly latest build as we will be using its vendor.
Now you just need to download Android 11 based GSI build by phusson as there are no untouched AOSP ROMs built for our device yet. But in my opinion ROMs like PE, PE+, LOS, CrDroid, dotOS (not pure but my daily driver) etc. are supposed to be much stable (as they are device specific builds) than a GSI.

Well, if you need pure Android 11 on your phone, and that isn't available, you need to build AOSP for your phone. That's a long way with tons of trial and errors, but you can learn a lot along (I also did). So first, you need a build system and set up the build environment. Then you need AOSP's source code, fork that. The next is the device tree (shortly devtree, the description code of your phone) and tweak that to play together with AOSP. Now comes the kernel's source. If you have this 3 and building is successful, you can go ahead and flash that with Orange Fox or TWRP, etc.
Take care because the fact that the build is successful doesn't mean what you got is usable, bootable.

Orange Fox official builds aren't available but unofficial once by Joaquin are stable, use them. Link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ote-9-4g-redmi-9-power-juice-unified.4336509/
Now tell me what do you mean by Official Android 11/12 "Pure AOSP" or Android 11/12 Custom ROM builds?
And don't worry about the English
Thank you. I don't know anything about these things. My phone's miui is very bad and useless. Tie I would be very happy if you could give me a good Rom link. By the way, you are a very good person.

Question Request to have Eu.Rom 12.5 fastboot version

Hello good day.
sorry if i have to make a new thread but i have a request to all the developers of eu.rom
since the miui 13 doesn't have twrp recovery. can you guys please make a fasboot rom of miui 12 or 12.5?
i have an issue with the miui 13 and i want to rollback to miui 12.5.9, but because there's no twrp recovery for miui 13, the only way to rollback is to download any stock global rom and flash it via miflash tool. if you guys can make at least one eu.rom flashable via fastboot rom, things will get more easier. i really appreciate if you can make one. or if you already have please post a link. thank you and more power to our developers!

do you mean i just need to install the recovery, wipe dalvik cache and data and flash the miui 12.5.9 stored in my sdcard right? and what do you mean can't decript internal storage? is that mean the files doesn't show in my internal storage that's why i need sdcard or flashdisk?
I would flash stock rom MIUI V12.5.4.0. via fastboot then
install TWRP then
flash miui 12.5.9

Notes:
• There are 2 versions. One for MIUI and one for AOSP. The MIUI version includes the new touchscreen driver and does not support EROFS and F2FS compression (The MIUI version can also be used for crDroid for example since the kernel shipped with that ROM does not support EROFS or F2FS compression)
