How do I go back to stock rom? SM-T713 - Galaxy Tab S2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My brother gave me his old tablet and I'm trying to figure out how to go back to stock firmware and kernel.
Its a Galaxy Tab S2 SM-T713 running android 8.1.0, LineageOS version 15.1-20180528-Nightly-gts28vewifi.
It also has Twrp 3.2.1-0 installed. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Anybody? I also want to go back to stock firmware so I can trade it in (via Samsung site) on a new tablet.

Try
https://github.com/ivanmeler/SamFirm_Reborn on a Windows PC.
This loads firmwares directly from Samsungs servers if they exist there.
Fill in device name and region (look them up here: https://samfrew.com/)
Check "binary nature" and "decryption".
Results in one zip file containing several files (AP, CSC, CP aso ending ..tar.md5) to flash with Odin.

How to restore original firmware/rom?

Tried to find information about this without luck.
I'm runing Roto's rom on my tab but is about to sell it and need to restore the original firmware and rom.
Is this possible? (didn't take any backup when I flashed)
I think the best way is to go to the samfirmware.com website and download & flash an original (jj3 in my case) rom following their guide, using odin?
I didn't try so, I'm running Overcome 1.1.3 myself, so I might want to revert back to stock also one day.
Maybe someone could comfirm or advice any correct way to flash back to stock?
Especially coming from ext4 back to rfs...
Might be worth a sticky :-!

How does this belong in the Development section? Should be in General.!
You're right, wrong section. But I can't see any way to move it.
A little update, I've successfully flashed it with original firmware from samfirmware, but I can't find a version with the scandinavian languages.
So, how did you do it? Details.
I also flashed back to a stock rom yesterday (was running overcome)
XXJK5 as I couldn't flash JJ3, it appears to be impossible to flash a firmware with a hiddenfs.rfs partition?
Flashed xxjk5 with repartition on and it was ok after adding also the multi-csc, otherwhise it boots into recovery with an error about "unable to mount..." and "datadb not found...."
The only thing, there must be some problem with this multi-csc file,
the list of salescodes doesn't contain XEU (*#272*imei#), while this xxj5 rom I downloaded was XEU.
KIES tells me by the way "this version cannot be updated" and I find only 3 apps in samsung apps :-(

Do you mean the input language for swype/samsung keyboard?
Because if you can't select your locale for the os, you could just install morelocale 2 from the market.

Hi!
I am from Norway and thinking about rooting my Galaxy tab. But having previously almost screwed up my android phone doing this I am having second thoughts.
Before I am doing any rooting I want to make sure that I can revert back to an unrooted tab. And then I will need to flash my original firmware with odin right? But I have not been able to find this version of my firmware. Can anyone help my find my firmware? Or can I copy the firmware from my tab somehow and copy it back?
My Tab:
Model: GT-P7510
Android Version: 3.2
Kernel: 2.6.36.3 [email protected] #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Dec 7
Build number: HTJ85B P7510XWKL1 (Norwegian/Scandinavian)
I need the correct so i can get the correct input languages.
search for "check fus" program, it downloads the latest version of your tab

Most stock firmware available at : www.samfirmware.com . You have to keep clicking through the hyperlinks on firmware page ie: smartphone, android , phone ,country ect .as the page only loads with latest firmwares, you also need to give a valid email address and note the password for the chosen firmware.
I have downloaded it, but theres only one TAR file, shouldnt be there more than 1 file? Do I put it in the PDA filed @ odin?
no , you want back to totally stock....download from here : http://www.4shared.com/zip/66QbI9Xi/I9000XXJVU_I9000OXAJVU_OXA.html .you also need 512.pit file as well : http://www.filestube.com/15WlFrmitE0vy0J3LtR01t/ODIN-512-pit.html and check re-partition in odin also.

[Q] Help me identify / upgrade my GT-N7000

I am in the US. I received a Galaxy Note as a gift. Purchased off NewEgg, sometime in December, allegedly from Canada, but I think that was a lie.
Samsung USA and Samsung Canada both denied the existence of this model.
Version page says: imgur.com/QezuO
PDA: N7000XXKK9
PHONE: N7000XXKK5
CSC: N7000OJVKK2
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-N7000XXKK9-CL725676 [email protected] #2
Build number: GINGERBREAD.XXKK9
My carrier is T-Mobile, with terrible, terrible data connection. (No 3G)
Will it be possible to receive OTA updates even though T-Mobile has never heard of it?
Kies says the device is unsupported. Is it possible to straighten that out?
Finally, if I need to use Odin, or some other tool to flash a ROM, how can I do a full backup first?

That's fascinating. Not the sketchiest place it could have come from, but definitely not Canada. It looks like the January update missed South Africa.
So, where does that leave me as far as updating my firmware?
Will it update on its own when S. African devices get the update? Is there any way I can connect it to Kies? Is there any benefit and/or risk to reflashing it to another region?

If you root your Note as mentioned above, you can forget about Kies (which is a piece of ****e, BTW), and flash any stock or custom Rom you like. Just check the Dev section and you'll find a wide choice of both.

Too many choices. :-/
Since I posted this thread, I have:
1. Learned a huge amount about my phone and how it works internally.
2. Rooted my phone using the ZergRush script.
3. Backed up everything on my phone using Titanium Backup.
4. Installed Odin Pro
Now, I have to decide which Firmware to install. I'd prefer a stock ROM, since I like the stock UI and apps.
It sounds like I have to change my CSC code to continue? Since there is only one ROM for my CSC. Will this step wipe my phone?
Are there any reasons to prefer one region's ROM over another? "Open" sounds like a good thing. Does it matter?
Don't worry about changing the csc. Its always an option, but entirely unnecessary unless you want to go full stock and remain unrooted. If your csc matches the csc of the official rom you have installed, you'll get kies/ota updates for that region (with dbt probably being the best one)
However, if you always want to flash the latest official firmware via mobile odin, regardless of region, and retain root, your csc is irrelevant.
It doesn't matter which rom you use from the list. I'm currently on the Germany lb1 rom, and the only difference is that the initial 'touch the Android to begin' screen was in German. There's a button on that screen to select your language from a list.

You were supposed to. Let me explain:
It's always a good practice to start clean when flashing new Roms (unless the Rom developer doesn't specify otherwise). So, the usual procedure before flashing new Roms is:
1. reboot to CWM recovery
2. factory reset
3. wipe cache
4. advanced/wipe dalvik cache
5. flash Rom zip
When you flash a Rom over another Rom without a full wipe (the little procedure above), you may face issues like FCs, old Rom components still present, random reboots and whatnot. I'm not saying these problems have to happen, but they may.
I actually just wiped mine. I switched the CSC to match the ROM I'm using. I was hoping this would get Kies to talk to it. I don't know why I'm so obsessed with making things work as the manufacturer intended!
Restoring stuff now.
Well there are no apparent benefits with KIES recognizing your device and force updates on them, coz doing so would "unroot" your phone.
So if you want to keep root, just download the stock ROM and use CWM manager to flash it. And this definitely is not how the manufacturer intends it to be, because he never wants you to be "root" in the first place.
Please Help me ID
Hello, I got a SAMSUNG G-NOTE (MODEL: GT-N7000 SSN: N7000GSMH FCC ID: A3LGTI9220 S/N: RV1C22T0xxx 12.0 2(I think this last number is the fabrication date)) it is not rooted, has stock ROM, and I don´t know what android version it has, but the first day I got it, I don’t know how, I don’t know why, may be my little son had did something, now when I turn it on it ask me for password, so I try going into recovery mode and I select “wipe data/factory reset” after confirm “YES. . .” it also ask me for a “Confirm password”, I Also tried: *2767*3855# . . . and “adb shell >> recovery --wipe_data” but almost all commands said access deny. . . I would like to upload a stock firmware may be it fixes it, I found a page (mobilecon.info/samsung-galaxy-note-firmware.html) with a lot of firmware for GT-N7000, but I don’t know what is the right for me, I am fear to brick my device, I had Google for a way to identify the device, but unsuccessfully, please anybody can help me, Thanks, Regards
first > download a GB rom (2.3.6) from samfirmware.com. extract the zip and you will get a tar.md5 file. The download Odin 1.85 and open it on pc. Put the phone in download mode (vol dwn+pwr+home and then vol up to continue) . you will get a downloading screen. at this stage. connect to pc. COM:X should come in yellow. (if not, drivers are missing on the pc. (install kies or samsung USB drivers) select the PDA tab in odin and select the tar.md5 file. donot change any other settings in odin. press start to flash
once done, phone will boot. bot into recovery and do a wipe data/factory reset.
Make sure not to do any wipes while on stock ICS kernels.
Thanks

Hello, Thanks for reply does that anwer was for me? if yes I am still worry about what rom should I download would any of those work?
Yes any GB rom for N7000 will work
lol, people
your on gn, first find product code, use the google search. The one that brings up sell code.
Now you have your pcode, that tels you what device
then dial and note your emei
*#06#
then with your emei
*#272*yourimei#
Now you have csc.
Whatever you do. If you root or plan to flash roms, backup your efs, on and off the phone.
Dont wipe on ics/jb because of brickbug. This includes changing csc, factory reset etc

So It is compatible with the G935T, my next question is if Flashing different carrier firmware effects the LTE bands you can access. does the SoC support all bands based on the ROM or is it a hardware change that effects them?
Thank you... these files just saved me from a brick...No idea what happened but I was stuck at the Samsung AT&T Galaxy S7 Edge screen and factory reset would not work
Any success with just flashing the CSC with the U firmware? I was able to get volte with a corrected xml file but curious if I can mix and match and get more of the atnt features.
worked flawlessly heading back to stock.
i was rooted with the 935U PG9 code - dont have to do anything special. follow steps in ODIN (i also hit the repartition checkbox) and you're back to stock.
if you want to remove the unlock icon on the start up screen, complete odin, let it boot up to welcome screen, then factory reset and it's back to like you bought it.
PLEASE HELP!!!!
I have been stuck at one of the early firmwares beause of a broken ota to my phone. I had just flashed this and i love it. The only problem is that the moment my phone booted up, i was greeted with a message saying, [ATTENTION The Fingerprint sensor is not responding. Try Again Later] Ive googled so much and none of the "fixes" workes. Before you ask, yes i have flashed stock, yes i factory reset, multiple times for both. Please help i want to use my fingerprint sensor again!!!!:crying:
Okay question?
I tried flashing the "U" variant back to a Tmobile G935T Rev 4 PI3 S7 Edge and it errors out halfway through the AP part. All other 3 files will flash though. Why can't I flash it back to the "U" firmware after the Att and Tmobile variants are on Rev 4? The G935U and G930U are both on Rev 4 now too. I'm curious why it won't let me flash that variant anymore. It's not a big deal but personally I think the "U" firmware runs the best out of all of them. If I get a Sprint S7 or S7 Edge I always unlock first then flash to the "U" firmware never to think about taking it back to Sprint firmware. Lol
Plus Sprint is the only one still on Rev 2 Bootloader. So can anyone tell me why the G935A or G935T won't flash back to G935U even though they are both on the same Rev 4?

They will. I've gone back from v4 At&t to v4 U. Something in your setup (phone, cable, pc, files, Odin version) is stopping you.
It's something in the AP checking while flashing it. Try going from G935U Rev 4 back to G935A and watch it error out. Lol
Can someone please help me? I have a g930a and need the PI2 files asap!
