Hey there!
After updating to Android 12, whenever I try to swipe the quick panel when there are quite a few notifications, the panel always stutters, there is considerable amout of drop in the refresh rate.
When I use 60Hz instead of 120hz, the problem does not show.
Does anyone know how to fix it?
This stutter has destroyed the one ui experience.
wait for the next update, many have mentioned this on other sites.
Let's hope they fix the issue
I had this issue when I disabled animations, as I do on any phone by default

just got my razr i here in the uk. love the device so far. fantastic form factor and importantly for me, a superb battery life one things nagging me though...is anyone else seeing a slight 'jerky' animation? i see it when swiping left to the 'quick settings' screen and when pressing the apps button. once in the apps though the left <> right swiping is perfect! pressing the home button from the home screen to show 'manage pages' too is pretty jerky or laggy but not sure if that is how it should be this guy sees it initailly when starting the game just before 4.00 mins in

but once the game is running all seems ok. this guy i can see it at 1.57 when he swipes left from the homescreen to the 'quick settings'

seems like it occurs when at some places within the phone but not everywhere. have i been spoilt using a nexus for the past week running a silky smooth jellybean vs this running ics? or is it a defective unit?
I would say on mine there is the slightest pause when moving to the quick settings that I hadn't noticed before! I hope it doesn't bug me now!!
Going to the manage pages screen or indeed the "helicopter view" (pinch zoom on the homescreen) is really jerky. But I dont find any noticeable lag or jerkiness anywhere else. In fact I find the whole experience smoother and slicker than even my Nexus 7. The only better Android experience I had was Jelly Bean on the Galaxy Nexus which is super silky.
Jelly Bean is slightly faster at a number of things especially switching screen context as the CPU is ramped to a high clock speed as soon as you touch the screen. I noticed the improvement in opening things like the app drawer when I had my Galaxy Nexus and upgraded to JB.

ooops sorry about that! :laugh:well i've adjusted both 'window animation scale' and 'transition animation scale' from 1x to off and that certainly speeds the whole ics experience up so that is worth doing if you have not. hope it does not affect the phone in another adverse way though

Does that not disbale animations?
don't think so. just seems to speed things up a touch.
This does indeed deactivate some Animations but only the ones Navigating in Apps or Settings and so on.
The actual Launcher Animation is not changed at all.
I have the same lag and its not so bad but still somehow annoying.
Didn't noticed that so much in all the test videos out there.
Someone tried to do a hard reset and start from scratch? Maybe fixes it.

I noticed really jerky animations on an M I saw at a Verizon kiosk, and the i seems to be fine from videos I see.
I got the Android 10 update today, and i'm not going to lie:
I'm kinda disappointed.
The few new features and some of the changes to the UI are not good enough to make me ignore some very annoying things.
First of all, i don't understand how the notifications are handled now.
For some reason the spotify playback notification is constantly hidden, no matter how i change the settings.
The recents menu also behaves weirdly, it feels very flimsy.
I'm not sure if this is a change, or something i configured before, but the clock being on the left of the notification bar is also very annoying.
same. Also, the swipe from home to recents to switch between apps does not work now...
Received the Update in India just an hr ago
Same as Android 10 , Minor changes. I don't think Samsung will be changing UI stuff, I just love OneUI as it is, it's my own opinion. It's true that some things have changed since Pie release but i think we will get used to it.
Are there any vids on what exactly has changed compared to previous beta's?

As for your clock you probably had good lock installed and had modified the clock position. Default is left side.
My sister have an s9 and updated to android 10 but not so special at all but accent themes in developer options down below aint work at all, any idea ?
I'm in the same boat as these poor folk, and I'm stock ROM...

Since I got my S21U 3 months ago I noticed the One UI Home Apps where you swipe right and left in either the drawer or on the pages. The transition is not smooth like it should. it is not lag, it is like random frame drop happening while moving left and right through the UI icons. I didn't notice fps drops in the settings or normal scroll in apps.
It is just that weird random fps drop during animation icons transition in the main page/drawer.
I have tried everything possible, from full reset to manually disabling services by package disabler to monitoring the CPU/GPU usage and FPS to forcing fixed 120Hz and I couldn't find a fix.
I am using the G9980 Snapdragon version 512GB/16GB
I noticed it as well. Comes And goes randomly.
Had an A72 with OneUI 3.1 with the same issue as well.
I was experience a lot of droped frames, lagy animations when opening control center, or when using android auto or normal day to day usage. I was really frustrated with my experience.
But one day I was trying to fiddle some settings to find the main problem. And I figured out that resolution scaling can be an issue. So I changed the Text size to L. And voila, It improved so dramaticaly. The animations are smooth, overall experience has been great. Yeah the large text feels kinda weird for a couple of days but if you consider the result. Its worth the compromise.
I really advice you to try this. Just change the Text size to L and restart you device once.
Hope it helps.
Cheerio.
Hello,
I have a oneplus 10 pro, and as always out of the box I unlock the developers options and deactivate the animation scale to make the phone run smooth and fast.
Everything was working ok, but after the last update NE2215_13.1.0.521 (EX01), even though the animations scale are still deactivated, the phone is running slower and with sort of animations.
Is anyone else experiencing the same? has anyone been able to fix this?
thanks.
Same problem here.
I haven't had this issue, try changing from we QHD if activated to FHD. Cycle 60hz to 120hz again.
Tbh it's more than likely something a wipe would fix.
If you've gone from android 12 to 13 then that would explain a lot.
It seems to be caused by pocket mistouch prevention activating when swiping down the notification panel on the lock screen so just turrned off pocket mistouch prevention and animations are no longer bugged.
