Instructions
Make sure to follow all steps carefully. Do NOT omit ANY steps!
Make sure your device model is gta4xlwifi (SM-P610) - exact match is required. LTE version will NOT work.
Install the Stock ROM for Android 10 from the firmware downloader of your choice. It might not boot at this step, don’t worry about it
Install LineageOS Recovery 17.1
Install LineageOS system 17.1
Check that LineageOS boots
Boot into recovery and format userdata
Flash Sailfish ZIP

It's not exactly a standards-conforming linux system - to get Plasma working, need to patch it for libhybris (android drivers, hwcomposer, etc) which has been done on certain devices (see debian on gemini pda for example)

I don't think using a full-scale desktop on a small device like gemini pda (even with a keyboard) is a good idea, neither blowing up a mobile interface like Android on a 10+ inch screen. That's why I'd like to see something real useful like Plasma on such big portable device. Unfortunately I have no idea about what you said "need to patch it for libhybris"

Actually we're both looking to use this kernel source on another, which is non-opensource, MT8151 device.
May this work on our devices?
I install twrp, supersu, xposed and gravitybox, everithing works fine. My tablet Acer b1-830 its now a super tablet?

Yeah, I did that. When connecting the tablet, I see a huge battery loading figure on the screen.
Solved it. The tablet was not in developers mode yet. After that it worked like a charm. Even with the tablet already encrypted.

Does not work on Samsung s9 G960F. I do everything according to the instructions, but after the reboot, the animation is played, the Derpfest logo appears and a white rectangle appears in the middle of the screen and black indents to the edges of the screen. Nothing else happens, the phone does not respond to the buttons, only a slight vibration occurs from the bottom of the screen when you press "force touch". What to do?

Not many, basically crDroid and another I don't recall ATM.
I backed up to PC with ADB.
To tell the truth, after losing touch, there wasn't much progress to be made and it made me really wary of changing -- the device is my daily driver and needed for work.
So I went with Xiaomi.eu (V14.0.2.0.TKFMIXM), debloated it and that was it...
After that and for a while, I stuck with crDroid recovery (non-touch, whole button: recovery-crDroidAndroid-13.0-20221108-sweet-v9.0.img); it took some time to even find this recovery, test it and find it was working.

You're right. I absolutely need a fully working recovery to quickly restore the device if anything goes awry. Or cleanup Magisk modules. Or backup, if I don't have a PC nearby. But mostly because I intend to replace Xiaomi.eu when the time is right...

After installation and boot, TWRP will fail to encrypt /data partition. It's completely normal because our TWRP doesn't support encryption right now. I'll try to fix it.
If first boot looks like it stucked, just hard reset(power + vol up) and let it boot. It should boot without a problem.

I'm stopping development for Lineage temporarily. I'm trying something different and i'm sure it will be worth.

Hello @OLRIccc , I have installed it and works good, but I have tried later install with twrp "MindTheGapps-11.0.0-arm64-20220217_100228" and doesn't works.
I have tried first with "arm" but it tell me my dispositive is arm64, is strange.

MindtheGapps has some problems with our rom. I recommend using NikGapps. It worked with me without a problem.

Thank you so much, I have formatted the phone and selected and installed at the same time lineage-18.1-20230605-UNOFFICIAL-m8qlul.zip and NikGapps-core-arm64-11-20230609-signed.zip
Now it works!, really looking forward to seeing new android versions for this phone on the future
Hello, I like sometimes enable mobile hotspot to share internet(mobile data) to another dispositives via wifi or usb, but not works, can you try if it works in your mobile?

Yes it's not working, even with old oreo build. I applied some fixes but there is still some problems i need to fix. I'm trying to reach the latest android version instead of bug fixes right now. But i managed to boot android 12 today so i'm going to stay with 12 and try to fix all bugs, including tethering and sound recording.

wow, I love Android 12, this version is enough, not necessary android 13, I'll be here pending to help you and test new things when you release new updates on the future
Yeah. Android 13 has some issues with legacy devices. Staying with 12 is a better idea right now. I'll release it when i manage to fix the camera.
Thanks for your support btw. Knowing that someone is using my roms makes me more motivated.
