Hi Guys,
Primary microphone (used for calls/voice) is dead in my phone and nobody can hear me during calls (including on WIFI calls).
There's 3 microphones in this phone.
I tested other 2 microphones - both work (secondary and third).
Is there a way to switch default microphone used for Calls/Voice?
Phone unlocked XT1925-6 (US version) Moto G6 non-play, Android 9 (from official Motorolla updates).
Currently bootloader is locked and have no root (don't mind unlocking/rooting it if needed).
Thank you!

1. Do you have a case around the phone, if so it might be blocking the ambient mic on the back or the mic next to the USB port.
Here is one carrier's solution. You can also try a factory reset or phone reset to see if the issue goes away.
2. If you brought the phone new from a US Carrier (carrier branded), then the only way you can get updates is on their network. If the phone is not carrier branded like a Developer Edition phone then you should get the update directly from HTC. What a lot of people have done is change their phone to look like a DevEd or International unbranded phone. This way they can get the OTAs directly from HTC. This would require some getting S-OFF, unlocking the bootloader, changing the carrier id (CID) and maybe the model id (MID). If you need any further assistance, we would need a fastboot getvar all posted but prior to posting remove the imei and serialno codes.
Have tried installing 6 different roms today
The Problems are
1) With the titan prime rom, my sim card is not connecting to the network.
2) The DU rom is not detecting the sim card and the sim card sliders are greyed out.
3) Blisspop and Resurrection are working on the sim card part but (this is the main problem) when i use the phone dialler, the mic barely picks my voice and i have to shout at the mic so that the other person can hear me. The sound recorder is not picking up my voice either. Whereas, whatsapp calls and messenger calls are picking my voice up perfectly fine and the other person can hear me perfectly while i am talking at a normal level. Google now can hear me properly as well.
I NEED HELP.
You are clean flashing these roms aren't you? I don't see what model of Moto you have but if it's a dual sim you need to flash the dual Sim Addon with Titan.
Sent from my GT-P5210 using Tapatalk
its an xt1068.
Do i need to flash the dual sim thing even if i am using just 1 slot? I saw the forum post. It said that the sim thing only needs to flashed only with the older version of the rom.
Edit... Nevermind. I unlocked and then used LineageOS. Visualvoicemail app from AT&T working perfectly.
I was given a turbo last week and didn't take the moto update (it already had marshmallow) so I am looking at unlocking it and rooting. My main problem with the phone right now is since I am using AT&T, my visualvoicemail doesn't work. I think this may be due to call forwarding being disabled outside Verizon. Is there a way for me to enable it on AT&T? I figured if there was, it would require root.
HI, first sorry for my english, but I have problems with the NFC
1. Moto X4 + Canon DSLR / Not link
2. Moto X4 + Moto Z / Data transfering
3. Moto X4 + NFC tag rewritable / read, write, erase, etc. without problems
4 Moto X4 + Pionner headphones / not link
5 Moto Z + Pionner headphones / not link
then the motorolas NFC only works for transfer data, no for linking devices?? or both of my Moto have problems? (Moto Z android 7.x / Moto X4 android 8.0 feb)
I have been unable to get android beam or wifi direct to work on either of my Moto X4s with each other or with our older S5s.

A few days ago I called the motorola attention center and they did not know how to explain anything, they just told me to send the equipment to a service center
Hello,
So my original note 8 was N950F 256GB Dual SIM bought in 2017. It kept on working fine, until recently it started giving the problems in mentioned order
a. excessive battery drain
b. not being able to charge wired or wirelessly
c. complete blackout.
I went for a lookout of a replacement 256GB , and was able to find one on AliExpress, risky as it always is, i took my bets to order one after some correspondence from the seller who seemed legit and helpful.
Fast forward 22 days, I got the motherboard, installed in my existing body and housing, and voila it turned on and apparently seemed to be working fine. However i came to conclusion that it was originally a N950N (maybe Korea Dual SIM) motherboard which was flashed with the firmware/CSC/baseband for UAE reigon , maybe it was done by the seller knowing my location for ordering and the usage reigon. KNOX status was tipped as well, but it is not rooted as of now (maybe reverted to stock) , so all root sensitve applications (banking , netflix etc) do work as well.
The problem is, though everything works as intended. I am unable to place and receive voice calls reliably. Most of the time the outgoing call never gets placed on the network and drops after waiting for 8-10 seconds, and the incoming callers inform me that my mobile was out of reach for them to ring me.
I suspect it may have to do with the correct baseband not being compatible with local service providers.
Seeking expert help out here for the guidance , download location and the right combination of the firmware components to be used to bring the phone back to a reliable voice calling status to be used in KSA region
All help is much appreciated.
