I'd love to run LineageOS on my Realme 8, but I don't have the knowledge to do the trick myself. From what I have searched it's not available yet (at least I couldn't find it).
If anyone could do this it would be highly appreciated!!

Searching the whole Redmi 4x a.k.a Redmi 4(India) thread on XDA I came up to know that xiaomi has not released kernel sources yet. I was looking forward to buy this device but looking at the lazy response from manufacturer I doubt the development and getting it. Share your thoughts and suggestion down below. Should I get this device or get Lenovo zuk Z2 plus which is available around the same price ?
I'm waiting for a deal to get one for my mom. I'm happy so far with my Note 4X (SD 625) which I'm running with Resurrection Remix, so I think a slighty downsized and down-specced version would be great for her. If there is no custom firmware in the near future, she'll be fine. I wouldn't wanna miss LOS or RR on my phone, but MIUI isn't bad for lots of people.
There are already a few custom ROMs for RM4X like yurekaOS based on nougat 7.1.2 and as i read in forums it seems to be running ok for the most users.
Still i wouldn't expect too much in custom development. see RM3S for example. there are ROMs available but development goes slow
So if you are no friend of MIUI (and upcoming MIUI 9) and want lot of custom development then you might consider buying another phone.

any plans for CM 13.1 or Lineage equivalent for Redmi Note 4X Qualcomm not built on nougat?
Need Android 6 as 7+ doesn't allow for USB bus speed auto-negotiation, which is "kinda" big deal in my application.

Retail users have been stuck on 8.0 from more than 8 months for now and me too like some people here do not mind 8.1 if we are going to get Pie.. But there are only a handful of roms available for such a good device. Still RR, CarbonOS are in works but no Pixel Experience? I've read that Pixel Experience is soo close to Pixel devices that even the apps like Digital Well-being which is a Made by Google device exclusive is available for them. I do not know how to get or contact them for bringing the ROM to this device.. can the people working on 9.0 GSI work on this!? I really would love that ROM on this device.. pls bring this to attention on anyone who can work on it ??

The only ROM that's still under development is LineageOS, version 15.1 is official now and we have version 16 under development, you can use this version as a daily drive, SD need some fixes (adoptable storage don't work) and minor fixes to Lineage features, here I'm using Pixel Launcher, I did a custom installation of Super package from OpenGApps to exclude some apps and maintain what I want and the Pixel Launcher.
Digital Well-being is here, I don't remember if it's ROM integrated or from GApps, but it's here.
I think we don't need someone developing especifically for our device because Treble is here, thanks to @erfanoabdi he's working on LineageOS and if some vendor fix is needed, you can ask him.

In our China forum 'Coolapk', some cool guys invented(sorry I don't know whether they invented this method) a method, which can directly flash Android Pie on their devices by recovering backups via TWRP RECOVERY.
They named this 'technology' FFAP(Fast Flash Android Pie).
As far as I concerned, most of them succeeded. Even AOSP ROM for Pixel 2 runs successfully on Samsung S9+. That's amazing!
Then... I searched 'FFAP' on Baidu, the most popular search engine in our China, found that THE DEVICE MUST SUPPORTS PROJECT TREBLE.
Redmi 6 Pro supports this.
This means we can fast flash Android Pie on it.
Someone succeeded. Let Redmi 6 Pro ate the pie!
Luckily, the ROM has been packed.

Anybody here has a fix for this? It worked on my Lenovo Z5 pro gt but that device is my daily driver and I have not much use of my mi5 so I'm planning to use this to apply effects on my guitar. Tried it on pixel experience rom Android 10 and aex rom Android 9 but with no luck. Any solution will be much appreciated!

Is it possible to install an AOSP or LinageOS on this Nokia 9?

If you so interested there's plenty GSI that work flawlessly, ArrowOS,Pixel Experience extended, blissOS,crdroid, lineageOS etc, all this are available in android 11 and 12 and 12.1(Pixel Experience extended and the other I forgot the name) , the 12.1 will expand as usual
