How to Unlock my bootloader on mi5 ?

I have downloaded all the files. Now can anybody please explain the procedure ? i have checked all those posts in miui forum but i am not able to get anything done.

Hi! What step are you at? Have you asked for unlocking? Has it been accepted? Have you tried the Unlock tool provided by Xiaomi?

I have downloaded the unlock tool provided by xiaomi after accepting my request. then this.
Then miunlock tool says
"checking if your mi account has permission"
Then is shows " your device isn't supported by mi unlock"

I was also getting this error when I was trying to unlock it. This possible fix will format your memory. Try installing​ a developer rom from here http://en.miui.com/download-299.html (not the stable version). Download the zip file into your storage, go to Updater app > tap three dots in the up-right corner > tap Choose update package > select your zip file > tap OK.
Let it install the ROM. After that try again the Unlock tool.

OK I will try it and then i will let u know.
But i have one more question. I cannot even flash my device with miui 8.1.4 with flashtool. It shows me device is locked or something like that so it doesn't flash.

Don't use flashtool. Use the app. You can use flashtool after you get your bootloader unlocked.

I have just installed the developer version rom. Now it still is showing me that my device is not supported by miunlock.

Oh ? Just to make sure:
Are you logged into your Mi account on the phone?
Do you see the Xiaomi rabbit on your phone when trying to unlock it?

I logged into my mobile with the same account and i can see that white xiaomi rabbit on my fastboot screen.
but mi unlock tool in my computer still saying its not supported. I also enable developer option and from there i enable oem unlocking.
Now is therer anything i missed ??

Stuck in fastboot, Bootloader is locked! Need help!

I have flashed my device without enabling debug mode. I have used Mi Flash to flash my device. After a reboot, I got stuck on fastboot, but bootloader is locked. Also, I can't enter on twrp...
If I do: fastboot devices, my device is recognized by PC.
If I do: fastboot oem device-info, all information is false except device tempered...On "device unlocked" it shows false too... It means that bootloader is locked.
if I do: adb devices: under List of devices attached, there is no device.
What should I do? Please help me out.

Any solution bro ? i have same issue. cant install twrp or rom using mi flash tool because of "flash xbl error" help me fast plz.

Can you use
fastboot flash recovery twrpXXX.img
or

with latest TWRP?

No. i tried installing Twrp but it says Failed.

Please try with Xiaomi Firmware Updater.

Bro it'd be highly appreciated if you could guide me what that is and what will it do ? i opened the website and it says you must have officially bootloader unlocked.

If your bootloader is locked, you need to unock it first before you can do anything. If you had registered your device with your Mi account, you can still do that following this description:

If you did not register your device before, there is no way to get it repaired but by an official verndor or Xiaomi customer support.

i had bootloader unlocked, i'm also not 100% sure if its locked again. its a guess because cant do anything. flash xbl error. and mobile is locked
either way, mobile was unlocked before. i'll try this link you provided...

The issue is, my mobile isnt bound with my MI account. cant unlock. my mi account is unlock supported but my mobile isnt connected to my account. thats fuked up.
I bought the mobile from china, but i'm not in china. i cant claim warranty. i dont know what would be the procedure now.

Yeah, same for me. Also bought mine from a vendor in China.
Good phone, but without support within your country, there is nothing you can do now.

The only way its go to EDL mode by forcing its by hacking the hardware to force EDL mode and do test point to reach edl it will detected as qloader9008 hub in the device manger and you can flash rom using this method

yeah i saw similar video for my redmi note 5 pro but when i was about to open my mobile, i couldnt. cant open the back of my mobile.

Afaik Its easy to open back cover of mi 5 remove simtray then use finger nails to open back cover started from bottom edge

nothing else seems to work, Mi service center couldnt fix as well, now i can try EDL but i'll ask a mobile repair dude to open the back. i will let you know if it works

Hi, guys. Such an unpleasant thing happened to me today. I have received my new xiaomi mi 9... But it has came with unlocked bootloader so i have locked it. And when i locked it then the phone got stuck on the recovery mode saying "this miui version can't be installed on this device" but it already came with this MIUI i did not change nothing i just wanted to lock the bootloader. Now i am bricked and i can't do nothing, i have tried to wipe all data, but did not help...
Does anybody know what can i do in this case?

Thank you very much for help. I have read both but unfortunately i can not UNLOCK my bootloader… when i was trying to unlock the bootloader through MI UNLOCK, it says "Current account is not bound to this device". Otherwise if this was succesful and i could unlock it, then it would be easy i believe.

Since you locked the boot loader, you'd have to flash (with fastboot) using the same flavor of miui which was installed. (example: chinese or eu variation), otherwise you won't be able to boot.

Yes, that i understood… There was EU variation with unlocked bootloader, which i do not know why, but okay…
But now i can not unlock it, it says, when i try to unlock it though fastboot with mi unlock, it says "Current acount is not bound to this device, ADD your acount and device in MIUI"s setting > developer options> mi unlock status.. but obviously i can not do it since i can not turn on my phone, its stuck on recovery mode.

When i choosed "my device is bricked i want to unbrick it" it says, this option is not available yet..

First of all you need chinese mi assistant
Second you need try three versions of roms(eeu , china , global) but im pretty sure that your phone is chinese version that bought from gray market and they unlock bootloader to install global rom
After you download these tell me, i guide you
Be sure download recovery rom (not fastboot)
It has .zip extension not tgz

If you know how to sideload the rom then everything is become okay dont worry
After successful debrick you must bound you mi account to your phone and wait for bl unlock then reflash with mi flash tool and global rom
AND DONT LOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER AGAIN

Yes, unfortunately i do not know how to sidload the rom... But when i have Chinese rom downloaded then what do i do with that? I connect the phone through mi assistant and there it can be flashed?

I had someone on xda recommend an excellent recovery tool.
It's called 'miflashpro'. It can be hard to find the English version. I did eventually but actually unbricked my Mi9 with the Italian version.

I am having the same probelm. .i have accidently locked the bootloader and now stuck in recovery loop. And can not unlock bootloader as i didnt bind my account. Can u plz share the link of miflashpro

I did the same thing with a Mi CC9 relocked the bootloader by mistake thinking it was like any other android phone. Did you have a Xiaomi account associated with the phone and signed into after enabling oem unlock in developer options.
If tha'ts the case you can use https://en.miui.com/unlock/ tool from where but it checks your phone number to see whether its associated with mi unlock.
Otherwise you will have to use EDL method which involves disassembling back of phone and shorting out two pins to initialize EDL data transfer but you need a EDL associated account this (belief xiaomi has revoked everyone access to these)

When close the phone they suprised me and working good.After 10 hours again close and bricked. I try sake and again open .So....the real problem its not CPU and motherboard but some connector dont touch good. Sory for my English. How can I relock the bootboader again? I've the Chinese K20 Pro

I unlock the bootloader by curiosity now I'm suffering. I can't update my phone anymore. It shows "Download rom again and try updating".
I tried to lock the bootloader by watching Youtube Tutorial but after the command "Fastboot oem lock" My system was distroyed.
So I'm seeking help from here.
Please ignore my English Grammatical errors as I'm not so educated.

1- if your phone is china version of k20 pro, download latest China Fastboot rom for k20 pro , this is very important and you shoud
choose proper rom, otherwise you'll brick your phone

To relock Bootloader you should flash tgz firmware by XiaoMiFlash tool and select the default Clean all and lock option - you got the answer above.
But if you are a novice (looks so), better don't risk hard-brick, you will need to find a paid, remote assistance for EDL Download procedure

I'don't want to brick my phone and i just want to be sure : if i unlock my phone with 12.0.1.0.RKBEUOR and flash it with V12.0.3.0.RKBEUXM, can i re-lock the bootloader or i'will brick my phone ?

I think the most important acronym in the firmware. EU. Flashing the RKBEUXM should therefore not be a problem. Even without the bootloader unlock. OR only means that provider-specific functions are built in. If you don't know them or are unimportant, the XM works just as well.

You think i can flash the rom without unlock my phone because it's the same base ( EU ). i must use flash_all.bat ?

xiaomi tool says i must unlock my bootloader to flash the XM version, no problem still 50hrs and it will be unlocked. the most important things to me is to re-lock after this. i'll try "flash all lock.bat" and pray to dont brick my phone.

If you had to unlock the bootloader to flash the XM, I wouldn't relock again. That would surely lead to a brick.

If you had to unlock the bootloader to flash the XM, I wouldn't relock again. That would surely lead to a brick.

Hello! Can you tell me what method you used to do it? I have a Mi 11 lite 5G, the ROM that came from the factory was a Vodafone EU and I changed it for a Global EU ROM, specifically this one: renoir_eea_global_images_V12.0.8.0.RKIEUXM, but in the process with My Flash Tool the bootloader had to be open, now I have this ROM working perfectly, but I want to close the bootloader to use Google Pay etc. So I am very interested in your method to achieve it.

I just got the mi 11 chinese version and have to wait for bootloader to unlock , I plan to flash the stock EU ROM via Fast Boot and worried banking / g pay etc wont work ?

Don't relock your bootloader with EU rom. Your chinese phone will be bricked.
