Who else is seeing phantom notifications on their Always On Display?
My OP10Pro currently thinks I have an unread Facebook Messenger message, but when I go into Messenger, there's nothing there and no bubbles are showing!
(mental firmware bugs abound)
What I Googled this, it's a Android 12 issue. It's annoying for sure..

The issue doesn't exist in ColorOS12 - only in 12.1 !

I thought I'd start here.
I'm on CM 7.2 RC1
even though I've set up my facebook phone notifications, I only receive occasional ones. If someone comments on a status or photo, I'll get a notice. But if a friend invites me to an event, I never receive anything. Not sure if this is a FB issue, a CM issue or an Android issue.
Almost forgot: I have teh latest Facebok for Android app in case that's relevant.

Hi everyone,
I have an issue with Facebook app: no badge count appears on icon.
Tried with push notifications on/off and other Android notification settings, but without result.
I come from a X Compact with Nougat and displayed badge count correctly, even with push notifications off.
Am I missing something?
Thanks.
WhatsApp badge count works perfectly, but no counting is shown on Facebook icon.
Repeat: no issue with Nougat or previous versions of Android.

Have same issue on LOS but for Gmail with Nova and Tesla unread. Others work fine. Uninstalling/reinstalling any or all the makes no difference. Am not giving it that much attention as LOS is in beta. Just that Gmail is the most important badge for me.
So I recently got a P20 Pro. On the whole am enjoying it and it's a good device.
One small thing I've noticed is for some apps (WhatsApp and Android Messages so far) it seems to display the time of the latest notification for that app for all notifications if there are multiple notifications for that app. If that makes sense.
Have a look at the screenshot attached. For WhatsApp they all say 52mins ago, although only the latest one was received 52mins ago. I've tried looking at notification settings both system wide and app specific. I can't seem to work out what the issue is.
Anyone had issues with this too? Or anyone got any suggestions to try fix this?
Same problem here. Can't change default tone for Messages, Gmail, Outlook, Outlook calendar and more... According to Huawei support (Norway), the development team is aware of the issue, and are "working on it".
Sorry, replied in wrong thread :silly:
Notifications are a mess on this phone. Can't expand them on the lock screen to read the full text or reply, can't long press and change notification-sound for each app like on every other phone running Oreo. The worst thing is that has been like this for months now and yet they haven't fixed it with a firmware update.
Hello there,
I tried several Android 9 custom roms from the local xda rom forum and faced an issue with WhatsApp notifications in all of them.
When I use the phone and receive a new message, it shows a notification for it properly, I also get notifications in the lockscreen if the phone was used like 5 minutes ago.
But as soon as the phone is unused for like 15 minutes and I wake it up, no WhatsApp notifications are shown (notifications from other apps are), neither in the lockscreen nor after I woke it up. I then need to open the app manually, only then I get all new messages and corresponding notifications at one blow.
So far, WhatsApp is the only app where I noticed this problem, notifications from other apps like Telegram and Gmail work without trouble and as intended.
I always do a clean flash, don't use any customizations and set up WhatsApp freshly. I also excluded WhatsApp from Doze in the battery settings, but this didn't solve the problem.
In MIUI and other Nougat-based roms, I don't face this issue. I didn't test many Oreo-based roms to give a report about them concerning this issue.
I'm not sure if I do something wrong or if there really is an issue.
Do WhatsApp notifications work for you without problems?
Or do some of you also face this issue? If yes, were you able to fix it?

That are aggressive doze settings
Which is ysed for good battery backup.
I am having same issue with WhatsApp.
Gmail and Telegram works fine for me, there is no issue with that. but i have issue with Instagram direct message that it does not shows until i open app but other notifications such as comment, new following are shown properly but i think it is a bug with Instagram since other notifications working fine.

No problem here, active allow backgroud in battery usage in app info
Try clearing cache and reboot...
you literally have to go into "manage notification" then from there you can enable notifications for all sorts of things in gmail
Switch to FairEmail. This notification issue has been going on since the OnePlus 9 with no resolution. Even now I will randomly get Gmail notifications sometimes but it's maybe twice a day while FairEmail has alerted me for every single one of the ~100 emails a day I get.
