Are there any dev / maintainers for LOS with the pro 10 working on a build?
I assume there are, but they are working on tree and some sutff around that. I read somewhere that OP didn't release proper drivers etc for it because our OSS is more like in beta or alpha stage, so wait for it. It will come sooner or later.
Not sure about a proper device maintainer but there was another post about aosp/lineage gsi that worked. It's on page 6 if I last recall. There's the link to the release.

Any idea when there will be custom roms? 3 months and nothing kinda sucks.

Really? It doesn't have all the issues that the 9 series does? Can you run Speedometer 2.0 in Chrome and tell me what you get?

Yeah that's definitely throttled (it should be around 125) but nowhere near as bad as they were doing it on the 9 series where we got 15-20 when we should have gotten 105.

I just wish they would stop doing it period. It doesn't help battery much and it is really noticeable in the browser even though the throttle is system-wide in OOS12 instead of the blacklist in OOS11.

Not to the extent that it ended up being affected. OnePlus has so far shown no interest is reverting their throttling behavior so I would have been very surprised if you didn't have it. At least it's not this though... This is stock OOS 11.2.10.10 on my 9 last night as I haven't rooted it yet to flash the module that disables part of the throttling.
I'd hope once lineage releases it'll pave the way for others , this phone needs a custom ROM like a fat kid needs cake

I think it would..I just got 70.9 with over 100 other tabs in memory.
Edit: nope I got 1% extra.
Tbh it's a browser, who cares?
Gaming is solid, runs Tekken tag tournament at full speed so yea theres not many non 8 gen 1 SOC devices that can run that.

Looks like it is being released to reviewers first then to us. I'm excited to see what other tweaks are included and how it performs after that update. Although my screen seems perfect and I've changed my ram limit to use all 6gb, it will be interesting to see how the world reacts.

Nobody has demonstrated that. I'm willing to bet that it conserves battery life because fetching an app from RAM is far more efficient than having to reload apps all the time.
Yesterday, with the ram fix, I got over 5h SOT with heavy multitasking. If that's the battery being impacted, then I'll take it :good:

Because I agree with OnePlus' decision in the first place as it fits my usage better.
It has seemed to make my battery life better, and to open up an app exactly where I left off is amazing. I think it's worth the fix.

Their decision was because they wanted to conserve battery life - but if it doesn't have a negative impact on battery life, then that's a moot point, right?

I don't know. If it doesn't have any impact on battery life and snappiness, then I would probably welcome it. However, I barely use more than 6 different apps on a single day, so I wouldn't even see a difference.

I'm curious (please don't take this as being rude or anything). How are you using only 6 apps a day? I mean, just making a phone call, texting someone, and checking email takes three.

Don't worry, no offence taken. A regular day would look like this:
phone, hangouts, chrome, inbox, whatsapp, camera, spotify - sorry, that's already 7, but I don't use the camera nor spotify (only in the gym) everyday. Most used apps are hangouts, chrome and inbox. I'm a pretty boring user but use my phone a lot.

Ah, I can see why the 6gb wouldn't be that important.
Do know that chrome uses a lot of ram! Every tab is an app. So 7 tabs is 7 apps
I've never been able to max out 3GBs of RAM much less 4 even with a 64bit Android OS. OnePlus added 6GB of RAM and USB C solely for the bragging rights, which explains why neither are implemented properly. I would have bought the OP3 if it didn't have either of them.

I'm all for updates, and glad they're pushing them out quickly. Honestly though I'm perfectly content with the current version. I think the screen looks great, I don't notice any over saturation. And while I guess putting more of the RAM to use would be a welcome thing, I have yet to experience any kind of slowdown at all. I guess I'm kind of like Derdjango in that I use my phone all the time, but only a select few apps. Maybe closer to 10-12 depending on the day though.
Battery should be more efficient with multitasking, and a camera upgrade is badly needed as sometimes camera got buggy and stucks while clicking the pics.

I can see why people are calling USB C and 6 gb ram as a gimmick but if it's giving me a future proof phone, I will take it. 2 years back 2 gb ram was more than enough and today 3 gb is considered as a baseline. With 6 gb ram at least I will have options to keep this phone for few years even if it fails to manage RAM properly. We all came to XDA to learn how to tweak with our devices after all and it would be better to respect OP's decision of how to manage their OS and take the tinkering in our own hands.

Here is a screenshot where you can see only 1Gb unused out of 6Gb. 5Gb used for system, apps and cache. There are a lot of apps opened/cached (nothing crazy). Only 1 game in memory (candycrush).
The other screenshot shows battery life under this load. I must say, I'm quite surprised.
I think many people complain because they were hoping that less memory would've made phone cheaper, but I doubt that there would be much difference in price. I like 6Gb for the future proof as mentioned earlier. It can be used right now with build.prop fix or upcoming OTA. I hope that Google builds system that can even better utilize it in the future.
I ran today compute geekbech 4 and I am amazed.
This thing beats an Samsung Galaxy S5 at compute by almost 600 POINTS. And I just turned on Force MSAA 4x in developer options. This is just the stock rom, without any custom kernels or cpu patches. I know this is not the CPU bench, this is more based on.the GPU, but I can't belive that this phone is. 100 points far than a samsung galaxy s6, what is much more expensive and powerful.
This phone still has life in it, maybe even with patches, overclocking, etc. we can actually beat an s6 at the compute benchmark. I will try kernel esal and other patches, maybe we can reach 2000 points on compute benchmark, and maybe even some cpu improve in performance.

For me, iph 7 is a piece of cardboard. And it is not the internals about. It's about the system. Too much worse than android. No customizations. Just to get root or "jailbreak" acces, you need to install some no-name chinese app and hope you don't brick your iphone.
And still, why you post this here? This thing is totally different than an android phone. If you have a Huawei P8 Lite/P8 Lite 2017 or at least a Huawei branded phone, or have android on your iphone, then post something.

You can get (almost) all the customization you need while Jailbreaking and can make the app yourself You can't brick an iPhone, you can restore it through itunes and always bring it back to life, while that isn't necessarily the same on the Android side. Does having an iOS device mean I can't visit or post on these forums?
You said the geekbench score was "amazing" and I posted something that really is amazing ( double the score of the Android counterpart equivalent, for real?)
Why so much negativity? If I didn't have a Huawei device, do you think I'd be here ghosting through these forums? We don't need so much negativity mate, make love not war, why should different operating systems hate on each other?

It runs everything at speeds I've never witnessed before.
If your phone is overheating then could just be bad build quality but I don't think that's in the SOC.

It's not though. That same test on the Snapdragon 810 would be much worse... This one throttled so bad that over time its performance was pulled all the way down to the level of a Snapdragon 801 that was also thermal throttling (before the 801 throttled even further later)...
The reality is that it's up to the manufacturer to tame these SoCs. The SoC is designed to boost to max performance when it can and throttle when it hits certain temps. Seeing how the phone can't really dissipate the heat that effectively, the SoC will always throttle at some point under a sustained load but adding things like vapor chambers can extend that window to the point it's ONLY going to be noticeable when doing stupid things like these kind of tests.
Im still running miui 10 and beside sensor issues in the worst moments and batteryperformance decreased (8-10h sot), im pretty happy.
The release of miui 14 looks pretty interesting, same like miui 13. Unluckily xiaomi will never bring any of those and therefore might xiaomi.eu never aswell.
Meanwhile is there any miui13 port which is super stable and perfectly working (i heart of ghost, miui tn, aphixrog). Im looking for something to flash, forget and never regret (for the next full year).
How is the battery performance ?
I would prefer stock vendor & kernal, no custom "magic" from few days experience dev .
Or should i forget about the "upgrade", stay on miui10 and investigate the drain issues ?
I've tried Abhix.

Depends on the usage, but everything on my phone is adjusted to consume as less as possible (but i havent done wild stuff like lower clockspeed, kernal, voltage... only debloat, disabled everything which could be battery intensive in settings, using leandroid + greenify), meanwhile i range between 7-9 hours i guess, when i fresh installed it i ranged between 8-11 hours.
My battery should still have efficiency around 85-90%, im trying to hold battery between 15-85%.
To answer your question. I personally think everything after miui 10 is bad.
I may gonna try MiuiTN, according telegram groups that seem to be the best miui 13 port.

I checked miuitn 13 A12 but it doesn't have all languages (there is English and a few Asian ones only). Android security updates are from June, while RaphaelOS (also Miui 13 - 22.8.25, A12) are from August 1st. In general, I have the impression that all these roms are very similar. On stock kernel geekbench is 690 and 2675. On Steroid is 700 and 2747. But AbhiX feels more snappy.
Both roms (AbhiX as well) are without encription so you need standard recovery (I have latest official OrangeFox).

Which version are you going to test (https://miuitn.vercel.app/Rom_MiuiTN/Raphael/) and is there any info how to install (recovery version, filesystem, etc.)? And the most important - how safe is this?

BTW I'm using Evolution X with stock settings at 72Hz with no battery saving tweaks. I bought the phone more than 3 years ago and use it daily. Afraid to replace this beast because I'm so used to this good SOT.

I easily reach 10 hours sot + on voltageOS. I shared some screenshots of 11-12 hours sot on my 3 year old battery in telegram group with light-medium usage. My idle is dope aswell, most of the time lower then 1% (ext4, voltage2.1, bitgapps, magisk delta).
I heard similar good from LOS20, Android 13 seem to be awesome in terms of background managment (im using 100+ apps).

Did you perhaps have a chance to use EvoX as well? If so, how would you say it compares to VoltageOS?
I've heard only good things about VoltageOS. Are there any issues with it, stuff that does not work?

I have used EvoX 2 years back for a while, cant compare it unfortunatly and i wont flash another rom until i buy a new phone probably.
Well unluckily there are a few issues on Vos2.1:
- Udfps unlock sometimes does not work. (there seem to be the same issue on Los20 and according Los20 dev it seem to be a issue with android system)
- nightmode, reading mode, extra dim does not work together with dc dimming after unlock. (according Voltageos dev this is a common issue on most aosp roms)
- from time to time i notice scrolling laggs and rarely in games aswell. (could be related to kernel, but not sure)
- expandable screenshot ?long screenshot? slightly buggy ? (on miui it have been working better)
- on twitter i have noticed some issues like i couldnt go back to overview after reenter app, on discord after editing i have noticed scrolling does not work anymore. (but those issues can be caused by the app / restricted battery setting / android system idk)
Thats all i have noticed so far, more or less (if i have not missed anything). Anyway im very happy and think its a really great rom. The only thing which is bothering me the most is udfps unlock inconsistency and for night mode + dc dimming i am using twilight. (those things have been working better on miui, not gonna lie. )

Thanks for the thorough review, friend!
I might just give it a go one day. I must admit that MiuiTN also looks tempting since I like the classic Miui style, but I can't find much reliable information on that rom.

I have not been using miuitn for a long time, so i unluckily cant tell you more about that. Miui13 ports for sure arent as stable as official releases / xiaomi eu roms.
So it might depends on your personal usage, you might not get around trying it out at your own.
You can also join the telegram group, there you can follow discussions about miuitn releases. People this days most likely use telegram. (which i personally dislike over xda, but what ever.)
This GPU definitely isn't optimized for vulkan at all, any one having issues trying to game at all? Even cod mobile stutters on low settings, and unplayable using 5G
Never played this game but it sure looks okay to me.
Sounds like user error...CoD is pretty popular don't you think millions would report if they can't play it?

Yeah that's quite true, must just be my device, I'll try a reset maybe because I installed 3 updates one after another once I got it, maybe that's an issue
Nope just looked into in in depth, the Mali G710 is more focused on battery saving than stepping up the game, so inferior GPU, yes, yes it is inferior, look up specs and what it does before use comment your expertise, p7 is clearly a downgrade, Google can clearly add call screen and faster camera to p6p but do not, and the VPN could be added to p6 or p6p but is not, Google kinda screwed us tbh, p7 is mainly just better modem that's all, FA else
Just run any test, any test at all, you'll see the p6p greatly out performs p7 and also more battery drain, so how do you work this out, what use going to comment now? tech experts lol, clear as day p7 got **** on besides software upgrades that's all
Basically Google are suppressing the pixel 6 and 6 pro on what they are ment to do just to make the p7 and p7p look better
And the mali g710 is over a year old! There's a newer G715, out early this year

There's barely millions own the p7 or pro and even if a million people owned this phone only about 1000 of that million would game
I posted videos showing the performance has been found to be perfectly fine. Raw numbers don't mean jack crap. It runs games fine until you hike the settings and make it not fine. It's not a flagship and was never intended to be a flagship but the graphics performance between the two is not as large of a gap as you're making it out to be.
