I have an old (USB broken) German GT-I8190 with Lineage 14.1 (Android 7.1.2) and made a one-to-one copy to a "new" Portuguese GT-I8190 via TWRP 2.8.0.0. To be more precise: I made a backup of BOOT, CACHE, DATA, EFS, MODEM, SYSTEM and transferred all these partitions to the new phone. But the SIM card is German and doesn't work, I get a message to type in the Network Unlock PIN. Unfortunately, I didn't make a backup of the previous system (which was standard Android 4.x) if that matters, because I didn't find it important. What can I do now?
*#06# gives me an IMEI number. So far, so good. But *#*#197328640#*#* (in order to enter into the service mode) doesn't do anything. And it seems that there is no nv_data.bin file, at least not in /efs.
Should I flash the (Portuguese) phone with a German stock rom first? Or should I rather flash it with a Portuguese stock rom and then try to unlock via *#*#197328640#*#*?

I was using rooted stock rom lex526. I installed shortcut master lite apk though play store. While browsing though secret code in it, I somehow messed up mbn test configurations .
Now I can only use 4g sim only in either sim slot. Other Vodafone sim is not detecting in any sim slot .
I tried flashing firmware through twrp by Rishabh Rao . But after 15℅ phone reboots. So I guess I can't flash firmware through twrp.
Then i get back to stock by flashing original stock rom , but still I can only use one 4g sim .
If anyone can please help me out . And guide me how make both sim working.
Thanks in advance.

Can you please explain more in detail how to flash baseband and modem .
I have stock rom downloaded from leeco official website as well as twrp back with firmware. Though I tried restoring backup but it doesn't change anything .
While searching for Network it shows 2g ,3g 4g ranges only if 4g Jio sim present , second sims simply not showing up at all.
Please check Google drive image attached in first post for more information.

Try following the post worked for me when I hard bricked my le 2, but be cautious and follow steps correctly
Went to fastboot
Fastboot erase modemst1
Fastboot erase modemst2
Reboot twice
And boom ..
Both sim showed up ..working normally.
Hello, since i flash Nougat Roms on my k3 i allways loose the imei.
I try to fix it with campheleon APP, but after this i loose the sim. Engineer mode is not possible. Can anyone help to fix this.
Thanks a lot
Peter
Since you know how to flash Rom, the first thing you do before flashing is to back up (Nandroid) of your Rom with atleast TWRP (especially the system, boot, pro info, Nvram, Protect etc) before flashing it's always there in the warning ⚠
If you did that just restore the Nvram, proinfo, protect partitions
Else, you'll have to try flash stuck Rom with SP flash tool (using firmware upgrade option under download)
Chamelophon could give you a temporary fix thou
Thank you sir.. but i want to get clarified about another thing..

If you flash stock Rom with SP flash tool and after that your imei is not restored without using Chamelophon app then you have a bigger problem. Chamelophon app modifications are cleared once there's a factory reset or system wipe - its not a permanent fix.
If after flashing your stock Rom with SP flash tool and your imei is not valid then you have to use imei write tool to write your imei (works only on mtk devices)
Then use TWRP recovery to backup your Nvram and restore it anytime you flash nougat Roms.
If after flashing stock Rom and your imei is back then take a TWRP recovery back up of Nvram and restore it after flashing nougat Roms.
Hope I helped

If you have any old TWRP backups then restoring from it could be the best option.
This is the reason we warn ⚠ make full backups before flashing anything.
The default stored information on some hidden partition has been altered or corrupted and there may not be much you can do than keep using Chamelophon (if it works well on Nougat)
You can try and download the latest RR 5.8.2 it has mtk engineering mode and very stable you can use to write imei too. But am not sure it stays permanently

There is mtk engineering mode in the RR 5.8.2 that am using but it doesn't have option to change imei.
Am sorry there may not be another way for now since there's no xposed Framework for nougat yet.
You may have to stick with Marshmallow for now.
Or buy another motherboard from Aliexpress

Download IMEI_MAKER.zip (to create a new IMEI file) then unzip the content of the folder (imei.exe) to a folder on your desktop
In command prompt, navigate to the imei.exe containing folder you just created on your desktop
NOTE
Code:
cd\ then Enter returns to root directory
cd.. then Enter goes up one directory
cd foldername then Enter navigates to a folder called foldername
A faster method is to open the imei.exe containing folder > Hold down Shift > Right-click on an empty space > Select "Open Command Window here"
When you're inside the imei folder in command prompt, type
imei.exe <15digit_IMEI_1> <15digit_IMEI_2>
eg
Code:
imei.exe 123456789111111 123456789111124
Press Enter
If both IMEIs you gave are of the correct format, a file named MP0B_001_NEW will be created. Rename it MP0B_001.
Now you can send it to the sd of your phone
Install ROM toolbox lite then go to root explorer
In root explorer, delete the existing MP0B_001 file (located @ device/data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI) and replace with the one you just created
Long press the new MP0B_001, go to permissions and tick all 9 boxes at the top then select ok (don't tick special pernissions)
Restart your phone
Your SIMs should be detected, IMEI reflect and Baseband version change from unknown to what it should be.
Note that getting this done might not be this direct due to different scenarios but replacing the MP0B_001 file is the ultimate goal in order to fix the issue.

Hi,
I just ordered my Mi Max 2 128GB. The seller flashed the global rom on it.
I wonder which system files I should backup to my pc first before I install anything, so if I brick
my phone one day, I will be able to unbrick it?
Thanks
Well your phone could mostly brick if you unlock it, install custom ROM, root, etc... Also, backing up your phone completely, even the system, it would require again unlocking and instaling TWRP custom recovery which if i'm not wrong at the moment the only thing capable of backing up all the partitions on Xiaomi phones. Someone, correct me if i'm wrong.
First have MiFlash with driver and Fastboot ROM, zip of TWRP and then backup everything. This can help you with soft brick. Hard brick requires opening and touching the contact points, using EDL to flash rom, then TWRP and then your saved ROM.
requires root
use Partition Backup by wanam (playstore), ensure you have enough space in your main storage (not the external sdcard)
(save as both .img & tar.gz, plus the 1st 100MB - see 'spanner tool')
Backup every partition, except the System and Data partition.
The partitions hold IMEI, wifi mac addresses, phone serial number which is exclusive to the phone. Doubt anyone, including Xiaomi support could restore them.
Follow this guide to backup your QCN (imei numbers)
Store all files from above at safe location #1, plus another location #2.
Brick happens all the time, including flashing official Xiaomi updates, even if phone is not rooted, bootloader locked. Many such cases on the net.
So, a backup is the safest option.
It's the 1st thing I did after receiving a new phone. 2nd step is to calibrate the battery.
It is YOUR responsibility to backup your phone essential partitions. Sometimes, official OTA updates are botched, or the phone is low battery during flash, or simply bad luck.
Hello,
i have had couple issues so here are my findings, most of them are already nicely described in many topics.
Bricked phone?
For me worked QFIL version 2.0.0.5, using the installer, by the "portable version" errors can be generated:
A nice video tutorial how to use QFIL and restore the image, QFIL and QUALCOMM driver included:
https://www.techpoison.in/2017/12/how-to-flash-letv-le-2-x526-stock.html
To enter the "flash" mode: Press and hold at the same time VOLUME UP, DOWN, POWER for like 10 seconds until you see that the device manager recognized new "hardware". For a detailed tutorial plase follow the video tutorial in the above link.
Should you have problems during the flash process, disconnects and so on, try to use USB 2.0 port.
Version 13s will be restored, please download thee X526 restore image from the Unbrick section or the Indian sparse image from the link above.
Baseband issues after restore / general baseband issues:
After restore "unknown baseband"? Just reset the factory settings on the 13s and let it reboot couple times, it will reboot automatically each 2-3 minutes - let it reboot after the restore 3-4 times. Afterwards copy the stock 21s to internal storage and rename it to update.zip, go to settings, system update and select local update, it should reboot automatically. Its possible that you will get an error message after the 1st reboot - APK not found. Reboot it to OS and delete the update.zip from the internal storage, maybe its not necessary to delete it, but i did it and copied it back, selected local update and voila system updated to 21s, my baseband was back and sims were "fully" functional, 4g/LTE didnt work - baseband was MPSS.TA.2.1.C7-68083.
"I tried to reflash back the stock version using TWRP, stock recovery and also the chinesse TWRP - didnt work at all. "
4g/LTE issues, only 3g works (tested in EUROPE)?
I have flashed all of the modems, bootloaders, different ROMs but it didnt help at all. So i rebooted the phone to fastboot and using the ADB minimal from the CMD i erased both modems, please be sure you have the package of your phone with both IMEIs, in some cases its not necesssary. WCDMA 3G worked fine, i had only issues with 4g/LTE.
IMEI TOOL + drivers link:

Imei restore on EUI and other ROMs:
https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/02/17/leeco-letv-imei-repair-qualcomm-models/
Commands to erase the modems: fastboot erase modemst1 and modemst2. I did it on 21s and reflashed the phone using QFIL back to 13s and both sims were already fully functional and 4g/LTE too.
If you do not see any IMEI use the Qualcom Imei Restore application - unbrick section, baseband was back, but i just had to restore the IMEIs, but i saw it only on MIUI 10 8.8.9 global - on MIUI enable the diag port using MINIMAL ADB from the commandline:
MIUI is prerooted, so there shouldnt be issues with root privileges.
Commandline - minimal adb:
adb shell
su
setprop sys.usb.config diag,adb
and run the IMEI restore tool.
In device manager you should see the qualcomm diag port - if you need the qualcomm driver please see the unbrick section.
Before i also tried to type in the dialer *#*#4636#*#* and tried to change the network manually, didnt help at all, tried like 3 sim cards from various operators here supporting 4g with a good coverage.
My phone is fully functional now and 4g/LTE works perfectly.
During all my tests, flashing and so on, if you have issues with a bootloop /custom rom/ and you have flashed already different modems = for me worked the 21s bootloader + modem, fixed most of the bootloops.

Sorry for my bad english, i am not a native speaker All the links are not mine.
ok ... first of alll ....thank for your effort to explain..........
i have tryed most of your solution on my leeco le 2 X526 version and didn't work for me to have a stable 4G signal on my digi mobil carrier from Europe (signal is dies inside house) ......but ...... can you please be a little more precise ?
//// you say that i should restore 13S stock version , take care of my IMEIs , install version modem MPSS.TA.2.1.c7-00008-8976_GEN_PACK-1.64611.1.68083.1 (your download with (TWRP ycjeson or 3.2.1.0) or fastboot flash modem non-hlos.bin if i have custom rom -RR 6.0 my case as a first try) .....and then remain on eui 13S or custom rom (miui version ??? . or other ) ?
perhaps is no need a step by step ....... but .... still ........ with your help .....maybe will be a real solution ...... thank you in advance .
