Note 5 SM-N920CZDAXSG Boot Failure, Kindly Help please - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello Everyone,
I came here for help after a lot of struggle with flashing, Hope someone will be kind enough to help me out since this is a very old phone and very few users will be using this , This is my uncle's phone and he gave it to me for fixing,
The phone's model is SM-N920CZDAXSG, After pressing vol down + power button + home button the download mode appears as a "Teal blue" screen but theres no text like downloading etc...
But odin confirms its in download mode (com ports) and im able to flash the below firmwares from this site...
Download SM-N920C / Galaxy Note 5 SM-N920C XSG in Samfw - Samsung firmware download
SM-N920C / Galaxy Note 5 SM-N920C XSG samsung firmware download all model, lastest, fast update, completely free and fast speed in Samfw.com ✅
samfw.com
Im getting the below error mostly,

sometimes the odin is stuck at hidden.img as below
I believe the pit file is needed for partition but i cant find the exact pit file for specific firmware anywhere, Could someone kindly help me please?
Also the download mode doesnt start in phone immediately, i need to wait for 3-4 mins sometimes more than 7-8 mins for the blue screen to appear...something is corrupt in the phone but i want to fix it by any means with your help....

No bro, i tried every possible solution, the thing is my phone hardware buttons does nt respond to key presses and i only get blue screen with no text on it, i even tried to repartition with correct pitfile and nand erase and everything but the buttons doesn't respond so it's a hardware issue for me,
But if you have working phone and have that downloading message then you can just flash stock firmware alone from the below site
Download SM-N920C / Galaxy Note 5 SM-N920C XSG in Samfw - Samsung firmware download
SM-N920C / Galaxy Note 5 SM-N920C XSG samsung firmware download all model, lastest, fast update, completely free and fast speed in Samfw.com ✅

That's the problem. Your csc seems to be verizon but the baseband belongs to sprint. Have you tried smart switch?. Assuming your phone isn't refurbished(since you said the imei belongs to s6), ss will decide which is suitable for your phone.

Very risky and high chance to brick. As you said it's a combination of 920f, s6 and 920v. I have no idea.

Bricked phone after trying to install Nougat Update

Hello, I had recently try to install the Nougat update on to my Mexican Galaxy Note 5 SM-N920G. I used the Bangladesh version of the firmware, my phone is on the latino american carrier Telcel. Before the update I had Trinidad and Tobago's Marshmallow firmware and was working great since the las year (Telcel delay so much it's firmware updates so I opted to use other country firmware instead to wait for them to release it for Mexico). Yesterday when I tried to upgrade to Nougat using the Bangladesh firmware, everything went O.K until the part when it starts to write the system image, when Odin reached that point it suddenly put "failed" on the status window and the phone got stuck in the downloading window. I rebooted the phone and I've got a message saying that the firmware update went wrong and that I have to connect it to use Smart Switch's Emergency Recovery Function. I tried that but Smart Switch doesn't recognize my phone when I connect to it, then I tried to flash the firmware that I had before without any success. Whenever I reach the point where Odin start to flash the system image it says fail once again and in the phone shows up a text saying "System Rev. Check Fail Device:1. Binary:0". What can I do in order to get back up and running my beloved Note 5? It is already dead for good? Or there's any hope for saving it?.

No, you can't flash a different model, only N920G firmware.
Try downloading the India firmware using SamFirm 0.3.6, extract it and you'll get the 4 files (BL, AP, CP and CSC).
Using Odin 3.12.3 put the 4 files on their respective places and flash it. Worked for many in Brazil.
I recommend factory reseting your phone before flashing.
Samsung Pay won't work since it's the Indian version, but everything else including Samsung Health and Gear accessories should work just fine.

Good evening! I have a similar issue with you, meaning that i can`t flash stock firmwares in my N950F Note8. Tried different stock firmwares, but ODIN v3.14.4 failes every time. Tried to flash only PIT file, tried to re-partition, but nothing.
It is still in the samsung screen from bootup, and if charging it shows a charging flash no percentage and not RED Light turned one.
What is different from the thread initiator is the fact that this one has FRP Lock ON and in does not enter in Recovery mode, only in Download mode.
Interesting is that in Download mode, Smart Switch doesnt recognise it, not even emergency firmare recovery.
Do you guys have any other ideas?

Galaxy Note 8 has a reddish rectangular shape in the background.

Hi everyone, I have a Samsung galaxy note 8 SM-N950F/DS rooted from United Arab Emirates. I live in Tanzania. Everything works fine but I wish to unroot it back to its Stock rom mainly because of a reddish rectangular shape in the background with faintly visible Korean insignia (I think it's the developers signature or something, not sure). It also has no software update option (software update not active) so I'm stuck with April 1 2019 security patch update.
However I've some fears because honestly I don't know why it was rooted in the first place.
My fears are if I try to flash stock rom I may get stuck on bootloop or something worse and I wouldn't know how to go about it, I also fear losing its dual Sim option or even god-forbid IMEI. Can someone please walk me through the process, so I can get back to stock rom and finally get rid of this rectangular patch in the background Thanks in advance.

I can give you the links that will tell you how to flash stock filmware and how to download the filmware but I can't guarantee that you won't come into any issues, however it is pretty safe to flash stock filmware. With the Korean insignia that you mentioned, does this always appear even when using different apps? If so this could be a screen burn in where flashing stock won't get rid of it.
To download stock filmware use this great PC program "Frija" just put in you model number and your CSC code and it will download the latest filmware (For your CSC code go to settings/about phone/software information/under service provider SW ver to see your 3 digit code, for example mine is BTU) It is a free program and you download at a decent speed.
[Tool] Frija - Samsung firmware downloader/checker
* * * PLEASE UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE INSTALLING TO YOUR DEVICES AT ALL TIMES AND ME AND THE DEVELOPER ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY SORT OF DAMAGE TO YOUR DEVICE * * * Hey Guys :) Frija is a new tool (successor of now depreciated tool SamFirm)...

Then just follow the steps in this post on how to download Odin and flash the filmware you downloaded using Odin. When selecting the CSC package for Odin use the one with "home" written in it as there are 2 in the zip file you download using Frija.
How to update your Samsung Galaxy smartphone and install official firmware
Follow these instructions to manually install Android updates through recovery, and full firmware using Odin on Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

Thank you very much sir, yes this red rectangular shape in the background is there permanently no matter which app I'm using and it's especially more visible when the screen is blank(white). Thanks for the PC app link. I'll try and post a reply here.
Screen burn?! I don't think so ( I could be wrong) but it's situated symmetrically in the middle of the screen covering the left to right. Upper and lower parts of the screen are left out. I'll try to post it's image though it may be difficult to see it because of it's faintness.

Your welcome.
It does sound like screen burn in because it's always there regardless of the app being used.

Question S21 Ultra stuck on Download Mode / Odin Mode

Hello,
I want to ask you all for some help with my S21 Ultra 5G. If you could help me, I would appreciate it a lot!
So, 2 days ago, I tried to officially update my phone. A regular update from Samsung, that was recommended by them (saying all of these to exclude the fact that the phone might be rooted or something). The update stopped at 25%, got an error, and since then it's been blocked on Download Mode/ODIN Mode. I tried restarting it with Volume down + power, tried to enter safe mode with Volume up + power, tried Smart Switch. Nothing works and I end up on the ODIN screen every time.
Is there any way to unblock it without losing any data from the phone? It's really important for me to not lose anything from it. Do you recommend trying to flash it using ODIN and Home_CSC instead of CSC? Is this 100% safe that will not delete any data? Do you have any other recommendations? Any help or idea would be more than appreciated.
Thank you for your time

What were you trying to flash exactly?
Absolutely nothing, I've never used Odin or tried to root/modify my software. As a matter of fact, until 1 day ago, I'd never heard of ODIN before.
I just started a regular update released by Samsung.

Ok, thanks a lot for the reply. So using HOME_CSC should 100% keep all of my data, right?
There are scenarios where it cant but as I think you will be going from CVGB to CVH7 should be good.
Typically moving to an older release you would have issues.
Ok, great, thanks a lot for all the help, I really appreciate it.
I will do it tomorrow following those steps. It's the first time doing it, so I hope everything goes smoothly
