Faded network status icons

Hi all,
Sorry if this is a silly question.
What does it mean when the network status icon appears faded or 'ghosted out' as in the screenshot attached.
I've seen this with G, 3G, E & H symbols and it seems to happen regardless of signal strength.
I couldn't find anything in my manual about it.
Thanks for your help.
I think this happens when GPRS is attached/detected in legacy mode. I don't know much details, so someone more experienced here may throw more light on the same

Xperia Z1S (T-Mobile US) Issue

Hi there. Hope all of you are enjoying your Z1 as much as I am. I'm very pleased so far... well except for the locked bootloader and no root part. I honestly don't know what anyone is complaining about in regards to the screen. Sure the viewing angles aren't great, but it's not a tv. And the color accuracy is among the best I've seen.
That said there's a couple thing off the top of my head...
The notification bar changes from black to a dull grey when in dialer or settings. Maybe it did this all along and I just noticed but it's bugging the hell out of me. Anyone else experience this?
Also periodically at home I'll lose LTE. The icon will show 4G, but not LTE below it. Not a problem, but when I search the "Service Providers" in "Mobile Network Settings" I will find an LTE network, but there's a check mark next to the 3G T-Mobile network. If I select the LTE network it immediately connects to that. It makes me wonder if it would automatically switch over to LTE later (presumably on a stronger signal). Any thoughts?

I can only assume it is that there's a stronger HSPA+ signal than the LT signal. Can't comment on anything else - sorry. By the way, the Z was a locked bootloader, right? But, we found ways around that and for root?

Your base assumption is probably correct. I haven't seen this problem specifically, but the phone is probably being less aggressive about LTE where the signal is weaker to save battery.

"!" icon on network connection, still have data

So this morning i noticed on my way to work that my cell network icon has a "!" mark next to it, with no indication of the connection type (LTE, H ect). at first i thought it was because i had no internet connection for some reason, however, when i pull the notification shade down i see the icon for network connection has the connection type (says LTE) as well as the "!". So the notification shade had LTE and the ! while the status bar icon only had the "!". I confirmed that access to the internet was fine by checking websites and running speed tests. Anyone experience this issue?

I did as I posted in my other thread about this. Now if there is a way to put my Preferred Network Type back to "Global" instead of LTE (recommend) I switched it because I thought I had no internet either until it showed LTE on the notification shade too.
Looks like it was a problem with tmobile this morning, back to normal now

Anyway I can get my Preferred network thingy to show up as "Global" again? and not LTE (preferred)

Disable International Roaming pop-up message

I am currently traveling with my T-Mobile Note 8 in Europe and every few minutes I get the pop up shown below telling me how to turn off data while roaming. Anyone know how to turn that off?
I'd love to find a hack to disable this popup too.
I'm surprised that no one else has experienced this and a solution hasn't been found.

Double Network on Status bar

Hello everyone, I just got this phone a few hours ago and theres something that bothers the hell outta me. My network signal shows both 4G/LTE icons making the signal go behind the notch, I have not found a solution yet for this issue.

Mine shows only one 4G not 2.
