So grateful for all the people who make things. I'm not a maker. I just follow the "recipes" on the box. You all have made owning an Android phone safe enough that I don't have to switch to Apple. Thank you 3000!

by way i can't thank you all enough for all the great work you do
just the other day i was at a party a group of people were showing off their new android phones even a few that had been die hard mac fan boys have converted. the best part of all of it was my little Vouge was the talk of the all of them, "what phone is that?" and the way theirs eyes let up when i told them how it use to be a WM but now greatest little android hack ever. after that i started teaching them tricks about android they didn't know and even gave them all the best apps to check out.
i remember when my friends use to ask what is android
now they all think i some kind of know it all hacker but i gave xda all the credit and told them all to come check out the dev here
so thank you all again

I get the same thing with some of my friends when I show them my tilt and give them a little background/learning session on Android and what it took to get it on these devices. Thanks to all who worked from the 1.0 days to get us where we are at now

Hello everyone,
I've been pondering over some project to divert my time on and well recently I've begun to notice the somewhat unorganized mess XDA has become. So I thought of the fabulous idea of creating a new website made strictly for ROMs, Kernels, Rooting, & Unlocking Bootloaders. The website would have separate sections for each device, then differing versions of the device, then for android version, and then finally for type of development. For example AT&T Galaxy S3 CM12 rom would be found under Galaxy S3>AT&T>Lollipop>Roms>Cyanogenmod 12.
Get it? Super organized, super easy to find things.
What do you guys think? Is this something worth investing my time in? Or should I just give u on this little project? Be brutally honest please. After all there is no point on building a website that nobody will ever use.
More steps but easier finds. Nice.
Sounds good, especially if you can get support from xda.
CyanogenMod 11 listed under jellybean ROMs?
Your biggest issue is people dont really leave xda. Developer wise most are keen to stay here because support and friends are here i imagine. Also logistically trying to support even half the phones xda does and have it so organised into just what the phones are compatible with, along with paired Q&A + general threads would be immensely time consuming and would require more than a few people to keep up with the flow. Not even considering user mistakes with roms added in the wrong forum. While it would be a good idea i wouldnt attempt it. The mods are always willing to listen to new ideas to help keep the forums tidy though. Maybe try help out closer to home?

Good luck with your site, but you're not promoting it here, as per forum rules.

Thanks for drop by!
Although there isn't any work worth to mention here yet, it's pretty nice to make part of this community that helped me a lot in past times.

One second, while I find the pages for these phones. Glad you're enjoying XDA
Found some! (There is no Nokia 500 page )
Lima: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/motorola-one-macro-root-tutorial.4061731/post-84600075
do you want to unleash true capability to your phone? try rooting it!Pixi 4: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rooting-alcatel-pixi-4-5.3747027/
more rooting
Rooting does include its own risk, for example I completely bricked my device once. So, if you don't wanna risk it, don't root it. Any other phones you know?

Well about the Nokia 500, it's pretty much expected since it's a Symbian OS thing. Thank you for providing the root tutorials. And nope, I don't own any other phone

It's okay. Happy to help
My name's Carlos
I am a student at Bakersfield college studying for UX designer
Since dial up & ebay started I have been an internet tech electronic junkie
Computer enthusiast
Now android junkie.
I have use a TracFone a509dl
I am interested in the root process regardless of my device being compatible or not thank you
Welcome!
Really don't want to discourage you but perhaps it'll be easier to find a more supported phone? Found only one other thread for A509DL:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tcl-a3-a509dl-unbrick-scatter-rom.4448633/
PS: And, as for myself, was never really happy with anything MediaTek (lessons learned, painfully).

Same here. I like toying around... but from all I tried (eg Qualcomm, Samsung etc.) Mediatek was usually the most painful experience. Not saying their stuff is bad it just never ended well

Hey I gathered up 100$ on an activated serve prepaid card

Not sure if the card can be used on all websites I know for sure it will work on eBay
Also I have a tracphone sim card thru SafeLink

Thank you it's actually a Dj Name for an electronic artist that renamed Patchouli
And donated the name to me (I'm also a musician)
Yeah, the title doesn't really make any sense.
But anyways, I'm RandomParable! I'm a software, back-end and front-end developer from time to time, but it's something that I like to keep to myself, mostly because I don't want to inflict pain and suffering on someone else. Other than that, I like to do things for people's eyes, because why not?
Went on here to ask, maybe do some answering depending on that day, about general technical issues.
Maybe I'll regret this, maybe I'll not, who knows! The future is an uncertain mess.
