Has any of you had the same?
My phone is connected to my car and whenever i get call waiting, it will switch to phone's speaker. It bugs me out so much. Any solution?

I am also experiencing this problem. I previously had a Note 3. After a software update on the Note 3, I started experiencing the problem that you describe. When wearing my Plantronics Bluetooth earpiece I would lose connection with the phone whenever I received another call (call waiting). If I ignored the incoming call it would lose connection right after the incoming call went to voicemail. If I attempted to answer the call, the Bluetooth connection would also disconnect. After much frustration, I contacted customer support. Customer Support advised me to upgrade to the Galaxy Note 4 claiming that it would solve my problems. Unfortunately I am still having the issue. Not only do I have issues with the Plantronics earpiece but also in my car. I never had these problems until the update from 4.2. I am on the verge of returning the phone and trying my first Apple product. Frustrated!!!
All over the net I'm reading about Bluetooth issues with the Note 4 and G3. From what I've read I'm thinking there's an issue with the new Bluetooth 4.1 standard. Meta data problems with a range of vehicle head units and device discovery issues. Not isolated to any one carrier or Bluetooth device.
So I went to the T-Mobile store today with a new Bluetooth earpiece that was dropping connection when a call waiting call came in. The associate there turned off the "Voice over LTE" setting and my Bluetooth connection began working correctly on my earpiece and my car. Weird....
I think i fixed it by clearing cache and data under Bluetooth sharing app. No need to turn Volte off.
I was good for a few days after turning off the "Voice over LTE" setting but then my Bluetooth issues started occurring again. Went back to T-Mobile store and after some research by the store rep, he cleared the cache in the "Bluetooth Share" application and everything went back to normal. So yeah, clearing the "Bluetooth Share" cache will fix this issue.
Hi,
I've recently gotten the Mi5 and one issue that i have discovered is that when i connect it to the car hands free (Toyota Yaris with Toyota Touch 1) It doesn't let me speak and i can't hear the person on the other end.
There is a workaround where i would have to on the phone swap the output from Bluetooth - Handsfree - back to bluetooth and then it starts working again. I'm not sure its possible to replace the stock phone app on the device but although there is a work around it defeats the purpose of hands free calling if i have to do that while in the car!
Anyone have any ideas for a fix?
Thanks,

I did forget to mention that it worked fine with the Oneplus One it just appears to have this strange bug on the Mi5
Hi gavrai,
I have the same bluetooth issue. But when I answer the call using my phone I can talk using my car's audio without using the 'Bluetooth - Handsfree - back to bluetooth' method.
I am running the MIUI Global 7.2.4.0.0(MAACNDB) on my Mi5 connecting to a Volvo V40.
When I connect a HTC M7 or M8 to the car everything is working ok.
Hope someone has an idea
Maybe we should check the Xiaomi forums if there are any.....
I've got a mi5 and if I'm listening to music and then use the speaker of the phone, i.e. make a call, receive a call, make a voice recording to send via FB messenger or voice recording to send by text, then, when it switches back to music/podcast/bluetooth, the music/podcast starts skipping, like a record. I cannot figure out how to stop this glitch from happening. I've had one or two updates since I got the phone but this keeps happening and it's really frustrating. The only way I can stop the skipping is to turn off my bluetooth and then turn it back on. Any one have this issue or know how to fix it? Thanks
Hi all
I encountered "No signal" issue in my car handsfree system (I tried 2 different cars still the same) . I can pair and connect without any issue , I can even receive call or make call without any issue . The problem the handsfree system will always show "No Signal" but in fact my mobile phone signal is full . This issue made me fail to make call via the car handfree system, anyone encounter the same?
Yes. I have exactly the same issue on my brand new Volvo S90. It very occasionally says there is signal but most of the time reads "Emergency Call only". It all works though... I can always make and receive calls.

I do some more research just now and saw you and me is not alone , more and more user report the issue , hope Samsung can fix it ASAP. Although I can make and receive call without issue only if I want to make a call via the voice command then the car system will told "No Connection"
Hi Guys
I am having the same issue. I have a Renault kadjar and the Note 9 keeps saying the phone has no signal, when the phone is showing a number bars. I have tried disconnecting the Bluetooth on the car and disconnecting the Bluetooth on the phone and neither will re-establish a connection. The only thing that works is restarting the phone. That will force the car to connect to the phone.
It's a pain. I never had a problem with my S8 plus or my wifes Note 8.
Not just me then. Same issue with my 2012 Focus and the wifes 2014 Renault Captur. Phone connects fine, I can play media and answer calls but signal bar on the car display is zero so I cannot initiate a call from the car (only from the phone).

Hello,
I've the same problem with the same solution: turn off and ON the phone.
Anyone have a FINAL solution ?
Thank You
It is always a good idea to reboot your mobile device every once in a while as it will clear any data in the RAM that may cause issues.
