Good Morning folks,
I'm Giacomo and i work in the IT.
I love technology, i currently own an lg velvet 5g as personal phone, nokia 3.4 as secondary phone (for work) and an energizer e241s running Kaios as entertaiment phone (for example when i go running or cycling as it's small and i can store it everywhere).
I love this forum 'cause i find lot of useful information.

Hello Giacomo and welcome to xda
if you go into your profile and edit your signature, you can list your devices, it helps people to help you when asking for it
Thanks,
I added just the lg 'cause both the energizer and the nokia 3.4 are not in the list

Hi punshkin,
right now what i am searching for. My LV is now 1 1/2 day old and i am very busy . So i will follow you now and possible i can help with stuff.
But 1st ThankYou
i am glad you like it
as of now there is nothing you could help me with...just tell me when you find a graphic/icon that is off so i can fix it
have fun with your new LiveView
YES! This is a great theme! I love it. Makes my new liveview look so much better. Thank you!
Up to date?
How up to date is your 'hacked' app? I installed it on my xperia pro and it works quite good, but I'm not sure what will happen when sony releases newer versions? (also leaked LiveView 2 - maybe there well be future incompatible firmware releases)

Hi,
my themed App is on par with the latest official release.
As for future versions: i always try to update the theme to the latest available version. (Latest update was August 2011 so don´t worry about an update coming soon :S )
LiveView 2 i can not say anything at all. We dont know if it will be an extra display like LiveView 1 or a seperate device like MotoActive.
If i get the LiveView 2 and feel the need to theme it i will release it for sure
Thank you for such a great theme, makes what was only a week ago such a poor device much better.
This is pretty sweet awesome man, Thanks! Is there anything else that can be done to these to make them cooler? I just got one yesterday and I have been searching around online and so far, this is the only mod I can find.
oops a little late, but maybe still usefull.
There are a few guys on XDA that try to make their very own app to comunicate with live view, by analyzing the protocoll etc. cant find it atm though
another thing is that i have a 2nd theme for it which is black and white (see signature)

Don't be afraid punshkin,
you are not alone, because i am with you all the time from up the beginning.
And yes, yesterday i have charged my liveview after a loooong time.
Because there was a new firmware update, sonyt says. I dont know,
but i have updated it anyway.
Right now i was searching for some stuff around the world...
The thread that you means is:
LiveView reverse-engineering effort -> Link
I was following that thread for a while and i have running the
latest update right now, and a wonder happens to me. That
apk, i mean service , is running very well.
And yes, i have both of your skins on my bakup server placed .
Hope i/we can see more, possible an ICS skin?
BTW:
some nice clocks for it...
Update:
this is the link to the open source for the thread LiveView reverse-engineering effort

hi guys I am thinking in getting this phone. but would like to be sure about three things before getting it... hope you can help
1. my old xperia (T) was available in two versions: one that couldn't be unlocked (carriers version), and the other one free to unlock. z3c is the same? I have to be sure I'm getting a unlockable version or all are unlockable?
2. self-cracks: it seem it affects few units, btw getting a new phone risks should be minimum? I mean new series of the phone are surely cracks-free, or even recent phone can cracks by theirself?
3. one thing I do pretty often is switching from 2g only to 3g and viceversa: is there a way to add this kind of toggle in stock quicksettings? maybe with xperia xposed by @serajr ? (I see possibility to add "New Network Mode button" in his thread). if so, can you maybe post a screen of the toggle after adding it with that module?
TIA bye!

Hi buddy!! Glad to know you're about to buy it!
1. It's up to your region/carrier, but if I were you I'd prefer unlockable ones (obviously)
2. I've never faced cracks issues, and my device already dropped down on the floor twice (oh fu**) and neither scratches it has (I don't use covers/bumpers, but front/rear tempered glass protectors)
3. Yep... easily!!
That's it... have a great buy

sounds good hopefully its sooner in the 3rd quarter.
There's an article about this on Android Police. They contacted LG and the maintenance update will come in July.
Good job LG! Doing better than some times past.
The Android Police article. Update coming "around July"....
The source code for urbane just released today also has a defconfig for lenok (G Watch R) which has an enable WiFi commit among others that reinforce the announcement that it actually has WiFi. I'm still studying the source right now but I think it should work with the necessary userspace support.
Yeah nice maybe you guys can be faster than LG
Out of interest, what apps will this allow G Watch R to use properly? Are there any existing apps out there that already use a smartwatch's WiFi?

Actually my app "Wear Media" (file manager / offline music player ) should use the new possibilities of WIFI (Channel API), but I'm also still waiting to test this on my G Watch R
But an user in my beta group could manage to use the WIFI on his Sony Smartwatch 3, however the handover from bluetooth to WIFI and vice versa is a little bit tricky to handle and this needs some improvement.

DAC is working just fine on pie update for me.
Previously I have owned a LG G2 and a V30+
I had a really weird bug with my V40 since purchased;
I wanted to use "Electronic-ID" app called BankID (Swedish), it would just crash when trying to read phone. The solution was oddly enough to put a micro sdxc card in the second sim card slot :victory:
Quad DAC is great with my shure in ear plugs and speaker system, currently using Tidal as streaming service (3 months free).
Camera is amazing compared to my old Oneplus 5T :good:
Battery life isn't really great, with about 5-5.5 hours screen on time, I think it's partly because of LGs automatic screen brigtness mode - in my opinion it turns the screen about 15% too bright most of the time.
Mine is currently unlocked bootloader and rooted with Magisk, but I hope we will see a lot of custom rom support (including twrp recovery) in the soon future.
Hey everyone.Any update how to root v40 at&t??
Finally got Pie on my Tmo. My cams seem to be taking sharper pics.

Wouldja look at that, a lot of the same. I dig Overlord but newer seasons seems to be drifting away from the whole "stuck in MMORPG" setting. It's still isekai but the game elements feel a lot less now.
Fairy Tail has ended, last S9 was the last one. I loved DanMachi (anything in an isekai setting really), just realized it's got a new season.. yay!

Waiting list for me (like I said isekai phase lols) :
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime
In Another World With My Smartphone
Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody
If you like DanMachi, you should also watch KonoSuba and prolly
Armed Girl's Machiavellism
Goblin Slayer
High School DxD
Akashic Records of the Bastard Magical Instructor

And we've got LGUP perfectly working
Now we just need stuff to flash with said LG UP...
Kinda lacking in that area. Even stock KDZs there aren't that many. smh LG...
I can confirm it's working with V50 also.
But it seems choosing refurbish it doesn't allow to crossflash. Any suggestions? Maybe Partition DL or lgup 1.15 with cmd? Waiting your thoughts.

Talk about OT.. lols
You should be posting in the LGUP thread mate. Anyways, have you tried with upgrade instead?
On the V30 we had to go with partition DL selecting all partitions. But that was on an older chipset. No way to know if it's gonna work on the newer SD unless someone tries it - not that I'm suggesting you to do so.

Hello everyone in the community, I hope that someone can help me with this. I am happily swapping out custom roms ( a big thank you to all the developers! ) with stock roms to test which rom suits me best (they're all fantastic and unique by the way :good: ) but the one feature I do notice that is missing is the "screen mirroring" option. I love that feature as I can screen my phone to my smart tv and virtually do anything without the need for a wi fi connection (something I don't have at the moment). Is there any way to install this also on custom roms?

I can't speak much to ROM-based mirroring. I found another solution entirely:
O's said:
I bought a ScreenBeam Mini2. It works great. Connects in seconds through stock Smart View on MagMaNX ROM 2.0.1. Only complaints: Weak range -- phone has to be right by the dongle. Also, phone screen has to stay on for video (but can turn off for music), so I always feel like I'm overworking the display (and it can be a bit distracting if the phone's in sight). But I'm satisfied with it. After all, it works.

Welcome. That's an old post, so I should update that I've had better experience with it as I used it more. Clean-flashed other Marshmallow/Oreo/Pie ROMs, and they all held signal even when I took the phone into the next room (with no walls). There might be a newer version now, and it looks like similar devices have popped up, too. But that one still works just about perfectly for me.
