Hi everyone,
I am looking for a way to lower the sensitivity of the noise cancellation mic (top mic ) that is actually making callers Gear their own voice when calling me .
I am looking for a way to lower it's sensitivity or completely disable it.

Hi everyone!
I've bought an HTC Kaiser and when I make calls I've got to almost shout into the microphone, because people don't hear my voice.
I'm not covering the microphone hole by hand... Is there any way to increase volume of mic? I've tried various RadioROM's and it didn't help.
settings->system->microphone agc
turn it on
It's still too quiet. Any suggestions? Any registry hack or application?
I have a problem, it seems the mic gain is too high on my ics stock n7000XXLRB (bulgaria). I am using the netcore 14 kernal. I had used a custom rom before and the problem still existed then. Now with the stock ics, it seem the mic gain is too loud and people hear background noise when I call them. I tried video recording and the background noise was just too loud. how can I decrease my mic setting?
not sure
I'm not sure if the problem is the mic gain but the noise cancellation instead since you're describing your situation as a "lot of background noise"..
There are 2 mics on the phone (one on the top edge) and they work with each other to cancel out the background noise.. It might be the kernel that's not working properly with the noise cancellation or your second mic is defective..
If the mic gain is too high as you stated, the other line would hear your voice as terribly distorted like on a speaker on very max volume.
I closed bottom microphone with finger and made a record using stock JB Voice Recorder. Second record I made with closed top microphone. By comparing records noticed that top microphone is less sensitive than bottom. Sound record from top microphone was much quieter. Can someone do similar test and confirm.

the secondary microphone is for noise cancellation and not for recording voice. Both work for different things and can't be compared.
Hello I have a problem with my Phone.
I used in my phone Nokia 8 external plain earphones philips without built-in microphones.
When i use headphones other person which I made the call heard background noise.
I think phone's mic and background noise reduction mic should still be active with this connection
unfortunately it seems that the background reduction mic is not working when i connect plain headphones. and other people can't hear me propely
It's chance to fix this?
There appears to be a mic at the top of the phone and a mic at the bottom of the phone, I assume to record in stereo and/or noise cancelation. For voice calls on speakerphone, which mic is active? I'm trying to figure out which is the best way to hold the phone when it's noisy and I want to speak directly into the mic.
And for other functions like google assistant, should I be speaking into the top or bottom mic?
install Easy Voice Recorder from Play and test each mic for quality, but I guess you should use bottom microphone
